I have a wierd problem with my PS2 controller that I never had before with any other game, I mean it works fine till the moment I touch the ball then the "player" automatically runs in particular direction without me doing anything, and I cant even make him change directions, no matter what I do once my player touches the ball I have absolutly no control over him, once I lost the ball again I can control him fine, whats going on ?

I just have the controller, not the PS2 console, all the other games run fine and no I didnt buy the controller of ebay, I bought it from newegg.

Ah you use the controller only, well there seem to be problems with different controllers in Fifa06 PC version, this should be fixed in an official patch from EA but there is no ETA yet on said patch, other than that you might want to check Rinaldo's Gamepad Configuration Tutorial, it's somewhere in this forum, try the search to find it, I'm sure it contains useful info.

EDIT : Something stupid I thought about as I hit the send button, is your controller calibrated properly in the windows control panel? You might want to check that.
