Couple of Q's? Re PES5 Demo ..



I have noticed when I play if the (cpu) keeper blocks a shot and it spins straight up he just stands there and the ball drops into his arms.. My forward is standing there and no matter how many times I press b or c (buttons) my forward never jumps to try and header the ball..

Me doing something wrong? or its just like that ?

The other , I hit a through ball and my player runs onto it! Now when I hold my analog stick to the right my player(s) will run in a straight line. But time and time again , holding the stick to the right and my player runs onto the through ball, as soon as he's touched the ball he veers to the right!

Now Ive seen this a good few times and at first I though mmmm (you £ud) you move the stick, but Ive seen it to many times now and its not me moving the stick from right (straight run) to down right ( veer inside to the right)..

anyone else seen this ???

I encountered that also a lot of times, but its isn't happening all the time. Sometimes the keeper punches the ball away from his area too. Maybe its triggered by the goalie's abilities?

Ive noticed the through ball thing too.
Drogba right through, good pace on the pass so he should maintain his run and just take the ball in his stride but for some reason he contols it to the right and the defenders catch up.
Im not sure if its Konamis way of cutting down 1 on 1's as pes 4 was too easy.
The same way a lofted through ball has been cut out so no 1 on 1 chance there either.
Need to practise more but it might just be a case of using r1 dummy or r1/r2 supercancel and changing the run a bit. definately think there'll be some way of not breaking stride as much.

yes i noticed it too when a player runs to a different direction all of a sudden. :nape:
it think it are scripted things to help the cpu ai.
I hope konami doesnt implement this scriptness in online play, like they did in pes4 :nape:

Doesn't matter all that much ! I was just wondering if it was me (getting old 2 runs short of my 50) moving the stick ... But what I did notice the times that it happened I cut inside and into the path of the defender on my heels and he takes the ball away!

Played a lot of games today and tried through ball.
It doesn't happen all the time especially with different players its a different outcome sometimes. so it just goes to show that every player is different, every game is different and different outcomes happen regularly, which i think is one of the best things Konami have implemented this time around.
I've got a beta of the ps2 version and can say that the pc demo outshines it by a long way.
It's getting to the point where regularly during a game ive got to pause and watch the replay in total awe of a move.
Cant wait for the full game now, think it will be scary brilliant.
