hey guys i've got a small problem. i cannot see the text on some of the menus like if i chose game modes it takes me to the screen it shows tournament, create tournament etc for like 2 seconds and then its just plain white you can still choose what you want but you cant see it. it also happened to me in manager mode when i tried to transfer players and it also happens in ea sports extras and ea sports retro. it just shows me a white list and i cant see any text. everything else is just fine

ok here's a screenshot of the problem so you can get an idea. thats actually game modes, you can select the mode you want but the problem is you cant see the text and what you're selecting and this also happens in the load menu or in manager mode, actually pretty much everywhere besides the main menu and options.

edit: i downloaded the new patch from ea sports and nothing changed, i still have the same problem

Becks, you obviously have faulty or corrupt Fifa Files on your CD or hard disk, if I were you I would try to reinstall it, and if same thing happens I would

a) return the faulty disk to the store where you bought it, along with your receipt and demand another copy because you have a faulty disk (most stores will refuse to take back software but they should do it if you ask for the SAME game)

b) if you lost your game dvd/cd (yeah right) try finding a trustworthier source, but I would buy one, it isn't worth the hassle if you get what I mean.

The truth is SP2 amazingly tends to do crazy things to some applications, and i wouldnt be the least bit surprised if this was because of it!! I couldnt install DirectX 9c with SP2, i had to unistall SP2 for it to install!!! Then put SP2 back. Maybe you could try reinsatalling FIFA, OR to save yourself some pain now and in the future, take off SP2 altogethor!!!

Without knowing what your system configurations are, here are the things I would suggest for resolving the Missing images / text issue:

1. Make sure that you're running the latest drivers for your graphics cards. Also, before just downloading and installing the drivers, read the documentation on the driver to make sure that the game has not been identified as having an issue (it's been known to happen).

2. Double check that you have the latest Macromedia Flash / Shockwave plug-in downloaded and installed on your system. A lot of the current EASPORTS titles use flash at the core of their in-game menu and not having the latest version may cause issues.

3. Active X must be allowed to run on your system. This is another component used in the menu system and without it, you will not get proper performance out of the game.

All of this said, I am assuming that each person experiencing this issue meets the minimum system requirement for the game to run (1.3 GHz Intel Pentium III or equivalent (Athlon/Duron/Celeron), 256 Megabytes of RAM (512 MB recommended), DirectX 9.0c Compatible 3D accelerated 32 MB video card or equivalent) and that your graphics card is fully enabled within the DXDIAG. If you have any further questions or are still experiencing issues, either post here or PM me with a little detail on what you've tried out and I'll see if I can assist you further.

if you cant find it in Add/Remove, go to Start, then click on Run and put in c:\windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst\spuni nst.exe , the SP 2 removal wizard will come up, work your way from there.
