A few things though, Holland should've gotten a penalty when Given floored v Nistelrooy very obviously but that German bastard that calls himself a ref did not bother to give it.
If we had that one, the game would've gone another way believe me.
McAteer should've been send off when he struck Numan in the face and there's much more that was very fishy in this match.

Maybe if you weren't so cocky and gave the Irish some credit. Ireland haven't been beaten at Landsdowne Road under Mick McCarthy and undefeated in qualifying. Wether you like it or not, we deserve to go through to the playoffs. It is Ireland's turn to celebrate.

Holand didn't lost the qualifying in this game... they've lost points in both games against Ireland, and lost @ home against Portugal. 2 teams qualify, and Holland didn't won any of the games against the other two teams. Portugal won in Amesterdam and Ireland at Dublin, so...
The little I've seen from the game was holland kicking balls mindlessly forwards. If you expect your team to win anything with that kind of tactics...

As an avid orange follower, i'm saddened by the fact that the dutch are not going to the world cup. That being said all of you making fun about the dutch and the dutch fans, all i have to say is that "every dog has it's day." There is only one team in this world that has not made the world cup finals, Brazil. Even Brazil too will one day fail to qualify. So whatever team you follow they will not qualify at some point. And if you don't follow any team in particular...good for you.

This is a good thing, because it would be boring seeing the same teams over and over again. As I've said before, if you don't qualify, you don't deserve to go.

PS: There wasn't penalty, given was on the floor and van nistelrooy choosed facility and felt on him pretending there was a foul...he didn't dive but given didn't any foul

i think the whole holland team is overated.. and what they lack of is teamwork, i look at the match and it seems like everyone is playing for themselves only. kluivelt got tons of chances but he just could not finish the job, it is sad not to see holland play in the next wc but this thing happen i think it's time for them to reorganise their national team maybe a new coach??

Ok as a Dutch guy I have to say that Ireland played very good and deserved to go through and seeing Holland in action well sorry but they do not deserve to be there.
My god what a poor display in Ireland last saturday, sure the referee should've given a penalty but overall the teamplay from the Dutch players SUCKED and they let everybody down including themselves.
Their play was boring and it lacked creativity unlike the Irish, they fought and won and I was surprised how much quality the Irish team has nowadays.
We will be back and stronger than saturday with new young players who are ready to perform and who WILL play for their country!
Congrats to Ireland and I hope they get far now,
I will follow the WC despite the fact that we won't be there.
Maybe that's a good thing so they can re-think their international position cause they really need some pepper in their ass.

well when i saw the final result of the game i just couldn'te believe what my eyes were seing how can a team semi.finalist of the last european dont go to the world cup ? and dont say that ireland deserved because they just defended well and in a conter.atack scored a goal :mad: holland just dont didnt had the nerve to pass ireland defenses (no nº10 if you ask me). but if u think that portugal will lose a game ..... agaist chipre and astonia u are crazy ..... we have one of bests teams in the world :p
