:(
I find it very innapropriate that all the UEFA Cup & Champions League football finally went underway on one of the darkest days ever......
:( :(
This is the kind of situation where footy goes back to what it was all those years ago... just a game.

I don't know how they allowed it to happen, coz If I'da been a player, only thinking about all the horror would've pissed right off.

I feel it's big lack of a respect towards the victims of the tragic events

Once again (never enough said)
RIP to all the victims .... :(
where ever you are you must be heading for a better place coz this is really a ****ty wolrd !!!

You wouldn't really be able to stop any of the matches. The terrorism happened about 5 and a half hours before kick off. You can't really tell the fans that have travelled all the way to a away game that it is not going to be played....

I agree with you Shearer, however It did give me some consolation that some of the players were wearing black armbands. I'm assuming this is the signify their mourning also.

it was good to see the players paying respect to the victims, but i was shocked at how the fans behaved during the minute's silence at the olympic stadium in rome today. they just didn't shut up!! did this happen at any other matches?

About the Champions League action I got to see the Real Madrid vs Roma game I though the score flatered Roma a bit it could have been 4-1 easy with Raul and Guti missing dolly chances but it was such a masterful performance by Figo not only the goal but just his all round play. Good to see Owen carry on his great form and I had to chuckle at old Arsenal's misfortune. Looking forward to Manchester United playing tommorrow.

I live in the northern part of India...and tensions with our neighbouring countries ...to specify Pakistan have been since long but it has been subjected to wars and not sending suicide bombers and claiming innocent lives....I'm Really sorry for what happened yesterday...BUt thank god....MY cousin is safe who went to D.C. a week ago as he got a new job there....But at the end...Mr.Bush won't like to start a 3rd world war here

As far as matches are concerned...Shearer AGAIN, Liverpool 1 Boavista 1 at ANFIELD
anything you'd like to say

And best of luck to MAN UTD...

Why do you keep having a go at me everytime they have a bad game or a bad result....
I'm not a Liverpool fan, it's just that i'd like it if they did well. But if they don't it doesn't make much difference

GO NUFC !!!!

RIP, god bless america :( :(

UEFA said today they couldn't call of the games because of security concerns seeing some fans were already in the stadium and some of the UEFA cups had already started as well as the Anderlecht CL game I think.
But they have cancelled all tonights games.
