That was an exciting game although the ref made bad calls. The PK for Honduras was a bad call. Agoos and the Honduras player only collided. Also in the end the U.S. players were taken down twice in the box and there were no calls.

yea but ernie stewart should of made his pk. i think it was a big mistake to have only 3 in the back. also, i havent seen the u.s play 3 forwards in a while. im not worried, theyll go through.

That is a bit of unfair seeing how US has a right to lose at home to some 2nd rate team and still qualify. Bruce Arena a year ago after tieing in Guatemala said: "if we win at home and tie away, we should do just fine" - and that is bad. Teams in Europe have no right to draw away most of the times and still qualify. 3 team for CONCACAF is a lot.

PS. US isn't liked in countries like Guatemeala, isn't it? Heh, no wonder the refs are usually killing them..

I went to the game and it was one of the best matches I have ever seen and to see it in person...

The atmosphere was ******* A. The level of football was so high, I was impressed.

The ref was pretty good BTW. All this **** about being bias but who was getting the yellow cards? Both Honduras and the US deserved those PKs, Stewart just sucks.

Tavalleres was world class and I was impressed with the whole Honduran team. The only player on the US who could match the Honduran's footwork and speed was Landon Donovan. Great finishing by the US!!!

ESA HONDURAS!!!! All of suburban DC was packed with cars with Honduran flags and Hondurans dancing around, it was really cool!

And the Americans have bad sportsmanship! They go wild when they get a throw in yet they don't applaud when the final whistle goes and Honduras get the 3 points they deserve.

Tavalleres, Caballero, Guerrero, Pavon, Nunez, etc proved y'all wrong!!!!

I was awfully disturbed about how awful we were in defence. The speed on the counterattack was too much for our defenders to handle. Pity, because they've been SO solid throughout our run to this point.

Stewart should have scored the penalty, but hey, they get saved 5% of the time or so, it just happens and you have to move on. The Honduras penalty was a farce...Agoos had already fallen over and was facing away from the player (who was already by him), then he hit the floor like he was shot. Unfortunate.

Pavon should have scored at least 4 goals, ended with 1. The Nunez fellow was awfully impressive, plenty of energy. On balance, it was a fair result, although if Stewart makes the penalty I felt it would have been over. Full credit to Honduras for a battling performance.

stewart sucks? that is the stupidest thing i have ever heard. he scored two goals in the game, and he has the most goals for the u.s in qualifying. even shevchenko recently missed a pk. it doesnt mean anything.

And the Americans have bad sportsmanship! They go wild when they get a throw in yet they don't applaud when the final whistle goes and Honduras get the 3 points they deserve.

another stupid comment. why should we cheer for the away team? they treat us like **** when we are in there country. give me a break, your whole post makes you sound like your anti-american or something.

I saw the game myself and quite frankly, hondurus deserved to win. One bad thing though is they(the honduruns) wasted countless chances, especially the one when that player was one on one with the keeper and still missed. LOL!! :D :D :D

For all of you that say that loosing to Honduras is not soo bad and that you dont have to worry...think again. The USA needs to worry...They play Costa Rica in Costa Rica this week and if Costa Rica wins...they are in the world cup. So Costa Rica will try to finish the job NOW. Mexico goes against Trinidad & Tobago and Honduras receives Jamaica. If everything goes as it seems it will go. Mexico will beat T & T and Honduras will win against Jamaica. Honduras will have 14 points and Mexico 13...the same as the USA. Mexico then goes agains Costa Rica and Honduras. If Mexico beats Costa Rica that probably will already be qualified and wont take that game too seriously and Mexico defeats Honduras in Azteca Stadium in the last game...Mexico is in the WC....BUT if the USA loses or ties one of the 2 games left....Its safe to say that they would be out of the WC....USA NEEDS to get at least a point from Costa Rica if not....it can turn ugly for the united states!!

My predictions have been 100 percent accurate...the United States lost against Costa Rica and Honduras and MExico won....two more games to see who will go to Asia.

I think US still has the upper hand tho cos they play TnT and Jamaica, while Mexico plays Costa Rica and Honduras. We shall see tho.
