Well, the main reason for Rosenborg doing crap in the Royal League is because a lot of the players are injured, but also the players don't take the Royal League seriously. The players in Rosenborg are used to play Champions League, and they are also tired after a long season, therefore they don't have the motivation to play well in the Royal League that they would have had if they were playing in the CL.... it's sad, but it's true...:S

Yeah, i know. I like that Vålerenga have motivation to play RL.
But we don't play euro cup...

It's just something about the mixture of players on Vålerenga I don't like; Berre, Fredheim Holm and Hovi. So therefore; when a Norwegian team plays in Europe, the only one I'm cheering for is ROSENBORG! :D:D

Hmm... You have to think that i have grow up with Rosenborg in CL.. its automatically been one of europe team from norway :) but, in Tippeligaen i hate Rosenborg. You are our biggest rival to the gold.

I support every Norwegian team in Europe, because we need those coefficent points so much. And therefore I wish VIF and any other Norwegian club in European competitions the best.


About not liking VIF. I don't dislike VIF at all, just some of their profiles, like Berre, Hulsker, Rekdal. But, Hulsker and Rekdal are gone now, so if you get rid of Berre as well then (Y)(Y).

Rosenborg have secured Fredrik Stoor from Hammarby, in exchange of Sebastian Eguren. RBK actually earns on this deal, since Hammarby also pays RBK money for Eguren as well. (Stupid Hammarby, haha)

Didier Konan signs with RBK
22 år gamle Didier Konan fra Elfenbenskysten skrev onsdag under for RBK. Konan er ifølge RBKs hjememside midtbanespiller, og har de siste sesongene spilt for den ivorianske klubben ASEC Abidjan.

Konan har skrevet under en treårskontrakt med Rosenborg, etter at han besto den medisinske sjekken på Lerkendal tidligere på onsdag.

Ivorianeren var en av tre spillere som ble nominert til tittelen «Årets Spiller» i Afrika i 2006, blant annet etter strålende innsats i den afrikanske mesterligaturneringen. 2007 Season

Instead of making a new thread for the 2007 season we'll just keep on with this one. So from here and on we'll post about the new season.

Rapid won 4-2 on pen. shootout.

Well, the first match of the season has been played. A boring match against a good Romanian side. The penalty shootout was used in order to get a winner of the tournament. Rosenborg now have 1 point, while Rapid got 2 points for this draw. On Friday we'll meet Shaktar Donetsk, who faces Brøndby in their first match of the tournament.

Indeed. Those two matches were really poor, even though the opposition were good it's just not even close to good enough. We barely created one goal oppurtunity. :S

Its surprising me. You was good until Fredrikstad match in last round last year. Since that, you have been poor. But remember that Brann was poor before seasonstart last year!

The hunt for new director of sports begins

Rune Bratseth has resigned. Rosenborg therefore has to start looking for a new director of sports.

"We haven't been able to begin looking yet, but we will start the process immediately," club president Terje Svendsen told rosenborg.info.

Bratseth decided to quit this week. Therefore there are no candidates yet. However, Knut Torbjørn Eggen, Erik Hoftun and Trond Sollied should all be considered.

"We have not made a list of demands regarding qualifications yet, but it is important that the people in management know Rosenborg and what we stand for. But Rune has told us that he will be at our disposition in the future, so the most important thing for us is to look at the totality," Svendsen explained.

Which means the position will be open for candidates outside of the RBK-school.

"The most important thing is that the person has a great network of contacts and a great understanding and competence when it comes to football," Svendsen made clear.

Within 1 July a new director of sports should have been found. That's enough time according to RBK.

"The whole market now knows that we are looking for a new person in that role," Terje Svendsen said.

PS! Bratseth might get a new position within RBK, but it is yet to be discussed.

I'm not surprised really. Since he needed a break of 6 months last year, and he has gotten a lot of ctitics for many weird decisions. I think he has done a good job, and he deserves some credit too.

Honestly, if he moves to VIF he must be one of the dumbest alive. He said he has ambitions to go out and play for a better team in a better league. Going to VIF is just the opposite. He is choosing the UEFA Cup instead of the Champions League, if you get the draw.

Of course not, but you shouldn't either. The result was good for you, but both teams played like ****. Really boring match, and both teams seems to have a lot to work with, especially RBK.

We have had a Champions League out of dimensions so far. We we're supposed to be doomed in this group, but instead we have surprised everyone (including ourselves) and are in a fantastic position to make it to the next round (which is the round 16 of and not the quarter-finals, Hepoas). :p

I so desperately hope that I don't have service when the Chelsea match is, so I can go and see it live. That would be great, especially if we qualify then.

Whats up with Rosenborg now? I feel you guys got many problems inside the club. Eggen jr is sick, and you buy 1st division players. :s

Haha, yeah. I really can't answer that. But I'm very worried by the present situation, we haven't got any new players that are really good (except Jarstein, but we didn't really need him). If we don't get 2-3 new defenders in before the new season, this is going to be a very tough year for a club that should be fighting for the title.

What about Pelu and Demidov?

Never heard about them before they signed. Probably going to sit on the bench much of the time.
