Yeah, Ok I know a load of you know how to do this, but given EA's complete inability to fix the damn render mode, please find attached here a zip containing a modified config.dat for that render_every_ai_smoothness.

1) Unpack the zip
2) Replace the config.dat in C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\2006 FIFA World Cup (TM) Demo with the one you just unzipped
3) Love the smoothness

Why is EA doing this every time? Why would we need to edit the config.dat to have a better game? This is changing the game completely. I will never understand why EA is doing this.

create a file called situation.ini in the fifa world cup main directory and write in this file this string
RENDER_RATE_MODE=2
after that, save and enjoy...

This gives you more control over camera height and zoom:

CAMERA_ZOOM_MODIFIER = 2.0
CAMERA_HEIGHT_MODIFIER = 6.0

You might want to experiment a little with the values.

That zip made my game crash upon start up, i'll try to do it manually...

i don't know how to create an .ini file what program do i use? I used word pad and it didn't work even though i changed the extension..

Hmm I used the config.zip in the first post on my full version of WC2k6... Could anyone post the original config.dat?

Ok, I extracted exactly where you said but still have the same problem, the screen becomes blurry momentarily when a long ball is played.
I do not have this problem with my regular fifa 06. Any other ideas?

I am using a Nvidia GE Force 128 and a hp v15f flatpanel if this makes any difference

I still get dark turff. :nape: I have tried all kinds of patches but nothing seems to help.

I tried the suggested file additions and it did not work. I had the same problem with FIFA 06 for which I added the frame render line and it worked. I contacted EA Support and of course they do not suggest file changes, however they said to reduce the monitor refresh rate to 60 mhz. I did and it works. For those who have this problem and the file additions don't work I would suggest reducing the refresh rate to 60 mhz and see if that fixes it. Yes 60 is a pretty low refresh rate but the game does play without video shaking on long passes. I have a Nvidia 6600gt 128 meg card. I should not have this problem but there you have it.

Could Omega drivers fix the turff problem?

is it me or this update makes the graphics become like they were in fifa 98?...coz i'm having that trouble...i don't know if it's because of this update or because of the "player detail -1"... :nape:

Omega drivers seems to not help. :( Is there fixed config.dat for full version available?
