I experienced this and would like to share with you all. I have Athlon XP 1.83Ghz + 6600GT graphics card. When playing the demo, the players running like a robot and it is really too fast. To make it more realistic, here how I do it,

1. Boot up your PC with normal CPU speed. For mine is 1.83 Ghz 166FSB x 11.
2. Use software tool (if mobo supported) to reduce it to slower CPU speed. I have reduced to 150FSB x 11.
3. Start the WC06 Demo...

Cool.. you will find the players run slower ... much more realistic!!!

This is the only I know, but if you have better idea to get the game run smooth, please share with me. Thanks.

Hi,

This is depends on your motherboard. I have Abit NF7-S Version 2.0 and I can use the tool called '8rda' to tweak my motherboard... If you have nVidia chipset motherboard, you can use nTune to tune your motherboard FSB to lower.

If you choose nTune, I assumed you having nforce2/3/4 motherboard chipset.
Just set the FSB to lower ... if 200, set it to 180 or 160... This will make your processor speed slower and the game will become slower as well. It is good because slow processor will drop its temperature.

when you start the ntune, you will see 'manage my nforce System'. you should notice below will have few circle buttons. select 2nd one (something like clock), then it will bring you to 'clock control', you will see 'system bus speed' ... normally 400Mhz DDR. you can set it to 360 or 320, 300... then apply.

when start wc06, you should notice slow down.

Yeah it is named "Tune my system performance"..but when i choose a clock...it just start the clock..but i cant change the ´system bus speed´ anywhere!...well any way..it would be nice to change it...cause my computer is also getting very hot each time! (C)

If your CPU gets very hot, clean the dust and/or buy better cooler. Don't declock CPU for no reason..

Isn't there any patch available for this problem? I am not very familiar with these kinds of programs.
