Here is my v1.0 gameplay update release for FWC Germany 2006. :)

I've reworked many of the most important issues and I will keep working on all other suggested or new aspects.

The install file includes all information about what will this update do, so read it, and enjoy the game. I'll be waiting for the feed backs. :)

smm2k2, What do you mean 6 listed? did you click on the picture (the first post)?? It seems that you are downloading the FIFA 06 patch instead of the FWC 2006... The link is right, click on the picture at the first post to download the new version for FWC 2006 Germany GPU Patch... :)

If any one having a camera problem, please go to the main directory of 2006 FIFA World Cup (Usually in "C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\2006 FIFA World Cup (TM)" folder), then delete the file called: "situation.ini"... the camera will reset to the original... With me it's working very fine and it's sooo cool. I'm using the English version of FWC 2006.

It works now, was the situation.ini, the figures in there messed up my camera, i just deleated it, thanks!

played a good game. REally love the ball physics. I observed much more ball curving on high kick crosses into the box. Gameplay is harder seems more like watching English premiere league on tv :) realistic.

had initial camera problem using sideline view mid level on height and zoom settings. (situation.ini was removed previously)
What happens is the camera height goes down to the grass. But i pause the game then re-adjust the camera, then it stays that way for the rest of the game.

Grim, you've brought up a good point, which is that after installing this patch, you have to go and change the camera settings and everything will be fine. :)

CopeCowBoy, re-install the patch with the setuation.ini and try changing the camera settings inside the game just before you kick the ball at the start. (to save the settings quit or continue the match and then head to the main FIFA WC menu and hit the "Save Settings" button)

Hello again guys... I'm heading after 10 minutes to Downtown Dubai (my city) for a concert by DJ ATB, so I'll not be in front of my PC until at least tomorrow after noon. (The concert will start at 9:00 PM and ends at 3:00 AM and I'll eventually sleep for another 7 hours! Right now it's 5:30 pm at my local city)

Well, for next version i would only change a thing. Sometimes when the ball is passed, it's acceleration is to fast... and perhaps make the ball a little heavier... just a little.

I found something that I think needs tweaking.

The goalie when rushing goes right to the end of the box then lets the ball go 5 feet ahead of him or else he gets carded for handling outside the box.

This can be an exploit used by the other team see the replay attached.

There are two ways that i can see to fix the exploit of letting the ball go when goalie crosses outside the box:
1) make the goalie stop and backup so he still keeps the ball
2) make the goalie punch the ball out farther eg 30 feet to clear the ball instead of just letting it go.

Can anyone else verify this? It happen with a few different goalies. I just want to make sure it is not due to goalie being not a good player.

hey biggy, ive downloaded ur gameplay patch...
everything works well, but sometimes when i score a goal or try to quit a match the game just crashes and gives me the send/dont send error...
does someone know what to do?

Predatorian, I'll make sure that the passes slow down when rolling on the ground.

I'm still testing some stuff and I'll make sure to add even more and better features. It seems that their are no complains on the CPU gameplay, which is very good, I guess. most of the errors are technical and will be fixed as mentioned. :)

Same here. The patch looks great but the game crashes (WC games, friendly games, goal scored, card shown...).

Same here, :( I'll observe if it's related to cpu substitution.

Guys, re-install the game and wait for a fix tonight. The weird thing is that I'm not getting any error at all, I'm trying right now to figure out a solution.

Except the cause problem, I notice some player's head were missing.
Is the problem related to the process of import files to the *.big file?

Here is a v1.1 of my gameplay update. It seems that the FifaFS file is not fully supporting the new FWC 2006 *.big files, which is weird because they've mentioned that the new version of it is compatible!

Anyways, in this v1.1 I've discluded the ability to install any new intensty files, which will not effect the gameplay experience so much (5 - 10 % difference). For now keep using this new version until I or someone in the FIFA community could figure out the solution for this small, but annoying problem. :)

Thanks Biggy, a fine release indeed. Although the no intensity changes made a difference in my Greece vs Belgium match, we'll just have to wait till FifaFS' developer makes an update.

You are most welcome guys. I'll keep trying to modify the game to the better and eventually add the intensty setting, but we have to wait for some fixed programs.

I love this game more than FIFA 06 because of many stuff; I hope that you all will like it more after using this gameplay update.

OK, really liking your gameplay Bigs but I do have 2 suggestions.

Can you make the cpu shoot more often (especially 30-35 yards) and i'd really like to see those 30-35 yard shots dip faster in the end. They seem to float forever.
not as bad as the original gameplay shots but they still need modification.
Can this be modified any ini file without the game crashing?

Can you tell me which files have to modify without the game crashing and with programs i need too?

Ok, i tested the problem here of falling to desktop and it's related to substitution, when the cpu makes the subs it happens. before the sub animation.

Biggy, if you could do the following in the next versions that would be great:

Make the ball heavier, in lobs it goes too high
Make the wing backs attack automatically
Give the CPU more attacking ways (sometimes the right back goes forward, sometimes the left wing, sometimes the center back, change formation, etc)

Anyways, I've reworked most of the issues that you've all mentioned and I've come up with this new version (v1.2). This version has many changed things such as:

1. Faster shots, not very fast though.
2. Slower passing, leading to a slower game in general.
3. Better ball physics, stronger bounces and a little bit heavier ball.

And many other small things.

Don't expect this version to wow you, as I'm still trying to understand the new game play that EA has generated, but with your suggestions and feedbacks, and some time I can make this gameplay update become even better and better on every new release.

Yo biggy. Did you check the parameter that i told you about online cap of framerate of 30 and does your patch work online? I've played a few with 1.1 and it seems to crash online.

Man, any small change on the gameplay files will always lead to crashing the game online! because the other player has different ball physics and stuff so when the online server calculates these values it finds them different so it crashes, in other words the PCs get confused.

Plus from the safety side, EA dose not allow you to play online with any changes, so that everybody has a fair game. think about it! :)

Biggy, the new patch's gameplay is great. But there is an issue with the D-pad tactics.

Example:
I chose ZN defence, and MR, CA, WP for offence, leaving BO off.

Well, when I checked my tactics during gameplay, BO was on. So I turned it off and it also turned off my ZN defence.

for issue #1: You don't need to rebuild anything, but also do not edit the config.dat directly. There are 7 files that are built in inside the config.dat, to view these files you got to use File Master 06 (Works for FIFA 06 and FWC 2006).

Issue #2: The gameplay update has nothing to do with controlling the tactics, so it's either a problem in your D-pad or something else.

I think ball's acceleration when passing is still too fast. And also players still run too fast however I have set game speed to slow in options. Sprint is not so efficient, defenders can catch me up easily. :( I am using v1.2.

i dont know how u can keep going but i find this game too boring and incomplete to work one. well best of luck. also try to make pu more attacking and the shots a bit harder. cos gerred and carlos dont blast in your patch with is most unreal

Anyways...I had to move to professional...because all my matches on semi-pro were winding up 4 and 5-0. Your gameplay patch has certainly led to some enthralling stuff. Teams that should be cruising...like Senegal and Japan continue rolling along...but by 1-0, 2-1 scores. But there have been other surprises...like Azerbaijan getting a point off England with Rooney having to come on and score in the 81st minute on the road for a 1-1 draw. Or...there was the 3-0 hammering the Finns put on the Dutch. I am also playing a World Cup with Brazil and France. Brazil is on the brink of elimination after losing to Croatia 1-0 and drawing with Australia 1-1. They need a 3-0 win over Japan and an Australia loss to Croatia to move on.

Meanwhile...there's the French. In their first game, they blew a 2-0 lead to Switzerland...but in the second minute of stoppage time, Zidane touched a through ball to Henry at midfield. Henry burst through the defense and won the 1v1 with Zuberbuhler for the 3-2 on the last kick! Then there was South Korea and I have never seen a game like this in the 5 years I've been playing these games. Trezeguet and Henry scored early...but Korea hit a cross bar and a post late in the first half...so second half was game on...right? Wrong!
Seven goals later the final was 9-0. Henry scored the hat trick, Trezeguet and Zidane had two apiece, Viera scored a scorcher from about 30 yards out and substitute Cisse finished the scoring with a sensational shot as he was being American Football tackled by the goalie at the top of the six yard box. Even in my days of FIFA '01 and the bicycle kick, I have never scored that many goals. But the thing is...nothing was cheap...most goals came off scrambles, corners, freekicks...really cool looking stuff.

I must say that shots are still a little unbalanced...in the Finland-Holland game, the Finnish goalie made 13 saves...Finland ended up with four shots.
But the defensive tuning is evident...keepers no longer are super-human for the most part...and 1v1's happen only a few times a game as opposed to every other trip down the field. Great effort...look forward to more.

By the way...I don't know if this is a peculiarity with this game play or not...but I've been wiped out by the keeper on a couple of occasions and there has been nothing called. Can goalies foul/get carded in this game?

I downloaded V1.2 and installed it in my Fifa directory. When I start the game the screen goes black for a couple of seconds and throws me back to the desktop. When I use the installer again and use default settings the game works...any idea why that happens?

ZDClan, are you using any other patches? If so, try a fresh install.

can you do something so the ball doesn't bounce on the players?
i mean, in a pass, the ball bounces on them, no one stops the ball and have full control of it like real players do
