Like Socrates said, for a lowered price haha, like always Socrates cares alot about money ;) WHAT A FINALE!!! Higuain was great too! Diarra!!! THATS why we kept him! For that header!! ALSO WHO saw Nadal?! The guy was almost crying! FANTASTIC! And Tom Cruise, when they scored he f*cking grabbed Katie and kissed her! What a guy!

HALA MADRID!
Sevillista 18-06-2007, 01:09:AM I retract my rude, erroneous statement.
Drvar 18-06-2007, 01:29:AM Nadal is a Mallorca fan, numbnuts. He was born in Mallorca and his uncle played for RCD Mallorca.
well, he didnt look like one today. it was really weird, but funny :D.
on the game, i will never forget this night. amazing, brilliant, just out of this world. thanks to the team, the coach, and to other madridistas! hala madrid!
Silencer 18-06-2007, 02:02:AM CONGRATS TO REAL MADRID WITH WINNING THE TITLE
I guess RUUD had a lot to do with that this season, I saw him go off the pitch injured :( How bad is it cause I"m really sick about it if it's his hamstring again. He will come back to our National Team after the summer and we need him for the next qualification games against Bulgaria and Romania.
Hopefully it's not too serious.
He scored more than 30 goals this season wowwww :| :o
Anyway congrats again on a job well done in the end, it was very exciting today with Barca almost grabbing it, Reyes did great this game and what a shame that Becks is leaving for the US cause he is still one of the very best.
Socrates 18-06-2007, 02:51:AM Nadal is a Mallorca fan, numbnuts. He was born in Mallorca and his uncle played for RCD Mallorca.
Easy there pal, Nadal is a BIG BIG Madridista ( he has been seen in the Bernabeu losts of times and goes nuts when we score ) and he has also said it in the press that he is a Madridista. I am way too lazy to look it up right now but it shouldn't be too hard to find. Also Nadal had an uncle or something like that who played for Barca but he supports Madrid. Also Tom was there because he is good buddies with Becks, or atleast that's what I hear.
Silencer - It looked like Ruud had a hamstring injury...it's a damn shame, he could have got the golden boot had he stayed on and yes he was very big for us this season.
Edit - Here is a quick search and a recent article where he says he is a fan of Mallorca and a fan of Madrid - http://uk.news.yahoo.com/afp/20070616/tts-tennis-atp-gbr-esp-nadal-c1b2fc3.html.
BTW - Is it me or does it look like Cannavaro is singing/encouraging the fan's who are singing Eto'o cabron saluda al campeon...hmm really did not expect it from Cannavaro, kind of suprising. http://www.marca.com/edicion/marca/futbol/1a_division/real_madrid/es/desarrollo/1006867.html
OrgulloVikingo 18-06-2007, 03:26:AM Nadal is a Mallorca fan, numbnuts. He was born in Mallorca and his uncle played for RCD Mallorca.
He's actually a Madridista! He said so himself. As is the case many times, people of smaller clubs always support their hometown but also support one of the big 2 in Spain. If Mallorca won it wouldn't mean jack, but if they won that would have made Barca champs...which Nadal wouldn't want.
SAMUELKATALAN 18-06-2007, 03:32:AM Congratulations. I am not going to say if you diserve it or not but i only give my coungratulations
MaestroZidane 18-06-2007, 03:41:AM Thats good enough samuelkatalan :). You guys played a hell of a season. This season was like last year when we failed to take our opportunities when barca slipped up. In the end, if you fail to take those opportunities, you end up paying for it....
I have all the games since we started our "Remontadas" and I will be enjoying them this summer and for a very, veryyyy long time. HALA MADRID!!
zlojack 18-06-2007, 03:46:AM Congrats Madridistas (Y)
Keep our trophy shiny because next year we're taking it back!
OrgulloVikingo 18-06-2007, 03:57:AM Congratulations. I am not going to say if you diserve it or not but i only give my coungratulations
Oh gee...thanks! Get the **** out of here. We don't need your "congrats" with that sentence. Be a man and tell us that we did not deserve it, which is what you really think. We fought and fought and never hung our heads, believed in ourselves and supported each other. The writing was on the wall. We won cause we had the biggest balls, we beat you sorry @sses, Valencia, Sevilla and grinded out some tough ones. And all this with many new players, new coach and the media all over our @sses...not to mention all the enemies we have! Go back to your board, loser(H)
Sevillista 18-06-2007, 03:59:AM Sorry. I was working off of what seemed common sense as well as a recent article I read which said:
"Nadal, who had interested the Real Mallorca scouts before he finally opted for tennis when he was 14, is of course a Barça fan, his uncle Miguel Angel having been an important member of the Dream Team. Nadal, on finishing his clinch with his dad, turned awkwardly to find himself face-to-face with Calderón. The half-handshake half-embrace that followed will make some juicy soundbites for this week's press, especially when Calderón admits that he went there to support Federer."
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story?id=437945&root=europe&cc=5739
Apologies all around.
That being said... what is Nadal thinking?? :$
I AM SO HAPPY THAT REAL MADRID WON LA LIGA!!!! This team deserve to win it this and congrats to the team and to the all other Madridistas fans.

With Gio as LB I dont know if I should count on that ;) No no joking mate ;) But we'll see...this season was something special ;) Fantastic ending! I cant believe it!
I cant stand it anymore, I must rate every player this season :P
Casillas: 8.5 (like always)
Ramos: 8.3 (wonderkid!)
Cannavaro: 7.3 (bad first half of the season, MUCH better second half)
Helguera: 7.3 (the old helguera was back)
Cicinho: 6.7 (shame on that injury)
Salgado: 4.8 (really past it, sell him)
Carlos: 7.0 (was fantastic in attack, but bad in defense)
Torres: 8.0 (Real Madrid youngsters are great and he is the proof of that)
Guti: 7.6 (Barca match anyone?! ;))
Beckham: 7.7 (BRILLIANT second half of the season)
Emerson: 7.2 (after a difficult start he played decent)
Diarra: 8.0 (new Makalele, PERIOD)
Gago: 7.5 (he was fantastic when played but I cant give him more)
Robinho: 7.8 (he starts to get it, less show more effectivity)
Raul: 7.4 (much better than previous years)
Higuain: 7.6 (We have a superb talent here)
Reyes: 7.0 (Buy him, what a shot! He still is a great winger/striker)

i believe reyes would want to stay at real
Socrates 18-06-2007, 11:06:PM How am I able to be a Madridista SGF Member??? is there some requirement??
A hug :rockman:
If you mean the Madridista SFG tag at the bottom than in your option menu in the sig line type in http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/9075/madridistacopy1bo.jpg , except take out the spaces. Just like how you have your sig right now except add in the link for the Madrid one.
On Reyes, from what I hear there are 3 Spanish teams interested in him and Atletico is indeed one of them....no matter how many players they buy they are still ****(H)No Uefa cup for those losers, hahahahaah. I would take Reyes but for a lowered fee, not the 20 million or so price that Arsenal has on him.
justhammy - You are much too kind my friend, for me there was only 3 consistantly good players RVN, Casillas, and Ramos. Everyone else had an off and on season and I won't include Torres, Gago, Higuain, and Marcelo in that list because they did not play the full season and Torres was good...for the most part at least.
It will be interesting to see what we do with Capello... I would like to see him gone but when I look at the managers available it does not look any better than Capello so it would be ok to keep him but only because there is no better option.
datboy 18-06-2007, 11:10:PM Reyes bleeds for Madrid. but the problem is that the club think 18M euro is too much to pay for him. but, seriously after what he did yesterday?? BUY HIM!!!!
randy23 18-06-2007, 11:18:PM New wallpaper, anyone? :)

really ? why would you still want capello out, capello would win you titles, cause he is a great tactictian and has tremendous luck, in resume why would someone want to change a good thing.
datboy 18-06-2007, 11:36:PM Capello has to stay! the players love him and we need some CONTINUITY for ffs!!!
ShAnDo 18-06-2007, 11:47:PM Just came here to say that the new home kit is a beauty!
Congrats on winning La Liga, I was really hoping for Real to bring back to reality all those Barça fans :rockman:
Seggie8 18-06-2007, 11:58:PM :fluffy:WEEEEE ARE THE CHAMPIONS MY FRRRIENDS!!!
AND WE'LL KEEP ON FIGHTING TIL THE END!!:fluffy:
AND FIGHT WE DID! MADRID ARE FINALLY CHAMPIONS AGAIN!!! The drought is over baby! A much deserved League Title for Real Madrid in arguably the finest ending in La Liga or any league for that matter. I couldn't believe what I was witnessing. First of all, to anyone that gave up hope....NEVER give up hope with Real Madrid. The ending to this match was phenomenal. Especially seeing Casillas crying, it really showed the guts and the glory this team is all about. Great ending to a wonderful season for Real Madrid.
CHAMPIONS!!!
REAL MADRID FOR LIFE!
Socrates 19-06-2007, 12:04:AM really ? why would you still want capello out, capello would win you titles, cause he is a great tactictian and has tremendous luck, in resume why would someone want to change a good thing.
Great tactictian? Maybe for Italy yeah but even in the last part of our season we still played bad ( Espanyol, Recreativo for letting them back in, Mallorca first half ), our end of the season win's were more to do with the players than the coach ( the only thing he seemed to do right was the subs ). I also don't want to see all his transfers come true ( Adriano, Ibrahimobitch, and etc ). He also has some other problems like not changing his tactic to suite his players and the style of play aswell. I won't say much more as I would be repeating myself as that's been my opinion of him all season long and it has not changed. We also won't have as much luck next season either.
Right now I would keep him because there are really no better options and the players seem to be confident with him. Hopefully it works.
treble41 19-06-2007, 12:08:AM That is an awesome pic. Reyes played good in some games and scored goals (like yesterday) but that doesn't mean you just splash out money to buy him. I honestly think that Robinho will have a better season next year; don't need Reyes.
Socrates 19-06-2007, 12:31:AM That is an awesome pic. Reyes played good in some games and scored goals (like yesterday) but that doesn't mean you just splash out money to buy him. I honestly think that Robinho will have a better season next year; don't need Reyes.
I would play both on the same team actually, seeing as we have no wingers ( Reyes on the left and Robinho on the right ). It always bugged me that Capello never tried that and he always played Reyes on the right instead of the left. Also it's important to mention that he was injured for quite some time and after he came back he was placed on the bench and only given spare mins to play and he still had an an impact on our result which is impressive. I would buy him but not more than 10-12 million euros, he does not want to go back to Arsenal and wants to stay with us so we have an upper hand there.
Some more news here Telemadrid is reporting that Schuster will be the new coach come the 1st of July, if it's true I won't know what to think of it as he is better/or at least that much better than Capello is.
Also it's being reported that we have signed Saviola....I don't like this move. We have Soldado coming back next season to be Ruud's backup and I sure as hell don't want to pay him that fat check of his to be a bench player for us. Lets see how this rumor ends up, could be true or false.
Becks is God 19-06-2007, 01:29:AM I really don’t want us to sack Capello im so sick of every season having a new coach year after year it really is ridiculous. And if we have signed Saviola whose bloody signing is it? Capello's? Schuster's? Calderon's? crazy.
Capello united the whole team towards one cause and that's something no manager was able to do since Del Bosque, and that's 4 years ago, when you've won the league. He's no great tactician, he's got no charisma, he's stubborn and most of his sides play anti-football but the man can win titles. He's got merits, considering that if someone told you guys back in January you would win the league, you would laugh at his face and think it was a bad taste joke.
OrgulloVikingo 19-06-2007, 03:12:AM KEEP CAPELLO! Why? Because he wins titles! Look at his resume. Look at his first stint with us in 96 and now in 07. They brought him in with the intention of winning something and he always delivered. Look at his record in Italy as well. I was one who criticized him for a vast amount of the season but now I am convinced that it doesn't get better than him (winningwise). We don't need another coach, enough with the revolving door. Caps knows what he's doing. With our core young talent, the future looks bright. I guarantee with Caps we will win another trophy next year. Lets look past style for a couple of seasons...I think it'll be worth it.
Now on to Becks...what a player! I too criticized him so much but he has truly proven that he is indeed a very good player and didn't come just to sell shirts. With the media on top of him, getting sacked from the English team and benched for no reason by Caps, he handled himself like atrue pro, kept his mouth shut and played his best football when he got a chance during the last stretch of the season and has been very key to our Championship, period. Excellent character he has and is a true pro in all areas of his life. Thumbs up.
Now Ruud....well what can we say? Marvelous....Robinho? Just getting warmed up.....Roberto Carlos? Best LB ever in my book, great servant to our club...Well, the whole team has been excellent...with a couple of exceptions but I'll let it slide since we are campeones. Hala!
randy23 19-06-2007, 03:43:AM Capello is a dickhead he doesnt play attacking football but that dickhead can win tittles and make the young players better just look at robinho he took ronaldo off the team and robinho started to perform again
why would you want to get another coach and sacking capello after he won the tittle for us is just the same story with del bosque
Schuster please the guy is Barca member and has said before that he wants to be the manager of bayern munich
I didnt like that capello took Beckham off the team but he was kinda right becks was not on shape and most of you critized him and then when becks came back he said it himself that he was in the best shape
do you think he did all by himself? well no capello got all of our players in shape besides cassano who i was never happy with his signing
Saviola is a great player and if we sign him Im happy with it
Socrates 19-06-2007, 05:09:AM Like I said I would keep Capello only because we don't have any other good option's ( reading recent comments by Schuster I don't really want him ) and also the squad has trust in Capello so I would keep him but limit his transfer activity. I am sure he won't be here too long so I don't want a bunch of Capello transfers and also him selling players that I think we should keep.
Let's see how many players we get linked to this summer, it's going to be a long summer.
I also want to say a special thanks to Carlos, Beckham, Helguera, and Salgado. All of them came up when needed ( even if Salgado was **** for most the time ) and I am happy that all of them got one more title before their time at Madrid was over. Carlos and Beckham are already gone and the other 2 are sure to be gone aswell.
Jaouadinho 19-06-2007, 01:03:PM also pavon and minambres.
i thought salgado did well on sunday i remeber when he went up the pitch and took it past 3 or four players that was his best game thins season probably because he knows he is oing to leave and that was his last match.
getting shuster would be a big mistake he playes worste football then capello getafe have conceded the least goals in la liga and i think scored the fewest as well.
we should keep capello next season atleast, bring back soldado and we need a right winger to replace beks, and maybe anothe defender if helguera leaves because we have already got metzelder.
I'm so proud of our team. Capello must stay. I don't want to start from scratch all over again. Calderon better not do nothing stupid.
BTW thanks for the wallpaper datboy!
Becks is God 19-06-2007, 04:38:PM http://cache.gettyimages.com/xc/74773982.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF19328B1795B4DC23433579FA85E19857AD9
Thank you Roberto  it'll be wierd seeing him play in another teams colours.
justhammy 19-06-2007, 04:46:PM Thank you Roberto! LEGEND!
BTW, Metzelder is coming. 1 July he will be here. (old news i guess) Also Calderon said that he almost has the yes-word of 3 other players ;) (hope he isnt talking BS) Who would those players be?! Robben? Zapater? Alves? We will know more in the coming weeks.
EDIT: Once again we are on the edge to sack a succesfull coach. AS has published something today that gets on my nerve (even if its not sure). Portugal, the Santander coach (I think) has stepped up. He will follow Mijatovich up. And the chance is big that Schuster will take over then.
You can say what you want, but sacking Capello would be so stupid, that its even nor funny anymore. Mijatovich did a good job this year too. Why get rid of a succesfull duo?! Pretty weird this! I wont believe it till its 100% sure, but it would be absolutely nonsense!
datboy 19-06-2007, 10:54:PM The Champions played a friendly in Israel tonight against a Tel Aviv All-Star team. final score was 8-0.
Goals - Guti (4) Raúl (1) Negredo (3)
:mexican:
Deisler 19-06-2007, 11:29:PM I think letting Capello go is not a dumb move after all. I mean the players he lead to the tittle are partially gone. He hasn't been very player 'frendly' either. I mean the first part of the season all of you called for his head. Capello knows that and he also is eager to bounce back to a new platform. Having said that Calderon should consider major labor shift in the defense. Carlos is gone, Salgado just doesn't have it. Yeah Metzelder and Cananvarro are a decent duo and Ramos is ok too but that defense need depth and at least another good winger. The midfield needs a Beckham like presence and a playmaker would really help feed Ruud better. Emerson time is up.
Socrates 20-06-2007, 01:40:AM You can say what you want, but sacking Capello would be so stupid, that its even nor funny anymore. Mijatovich did a good job this year too. Why get rid of a succesfull duo?! Pretty weird this! I wont believe it till its 100% sure, but it would be absolutely nonsense!
Well it was not a great year, it was a great finish to a year but not a great year at all. As I have said before even in our last 12 games we struggled a lot, his starting eleven never really worked ( Emerson-Diarra can't create, Reyes and Higuain should have played more mins, he also ****ed Marcelo over ), and his tactics were not even right. Remember it was not until our players more or less said **** the tactic lets get some goals in which we started to play a higher d-line and put more players forward. Not only that but most of all Capello was never meant to be some long term project, he was here to win a title ( and he did so great job to him ) but that's it. The only problem really ( for me at least ) is that there is no good replacement, no thanks to Schuster.
Also looks like Baldini will go back to Italy and Portugal ( Racing manager ) will work alongside Mijatovic. Not really happy about Baldini leaving as he did very well for us in making our transfer's happen ( we got the players for a fair price imo ).
Azrael 20-06-2007, 01:51:AM I found nothing anywhere on the net, and thought maybe someone here knew about it, what was the idea behind the Real Madrid - Peace Team match, exactly? It's a nice concept and all, and I enjoyed watching it, but I just thought that a charity event, or promotional thing like that would get more attention.
Sevillista 20-06-2007, 02:50:AM I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned Real Madrid Castilla's relegation.
MaestroZidane 20-06-2007, 03:47:AM maybe because most people treat them as a different team overall. I did hear when it happen though.
An off topic post - I just order my campeones 30 shirt, a bit pricey but hey, a team can only win their 30th title once. Hala madrid!!

I believe how it happend was that we were invited to play the peace match in Isreal and we agreed to do so, realmadrid.com has been talking for the last 2 weeks now.
And yea Castilla did get relegated which sucks but people are too busy talking about the first team. I know that sounds bad but it seems like the youth teams are going to keep being neglected. Well looks like some players will either get promoted to the first team ( not very likely ) or loaned out ( very likely ).

I agree with you about the fact that we didnt play great this year. Ofcourse thats true, but its just not good to sack a winning coach. Look at Del Bosque, he went away and 3 years there was nothing. And like you said, there is no good replacement. Capello is a coach with reputation, Schuster isnt like him. Im not a fan of Capello, not at all, but he won La Liga and therefore he did his job. Also, sacking him would mean paying him his contract. And if you believe the rumours about that then its a f*cking HUGE amount of money Calderon should pay.
Really, if there were other good coaches to replace him, I wouldnt mind. There just arent ;) (or not yet)

we have plenty of players in that position i would pefer us to buy someone who is young and cheaper, or promote someone from castilla.

Actually if I remember right Alexis had a pricetag of 8 million euros. I also think Alexis would be better because he can play more than just CB ( LB, RB, and DM ) and he is younger but he is gone now so it won't matter to talk about it.

Ok first on Drenthe. Dont jump in the air already man. He is a good player, but he has alot to learn and is NOWHERE as good as Robinho (who plays on the left). Drenthe can play as LB, but then i'd prefer Marcelo or like every newspaper says Heinze. Drenthe wasnt very good this year at Feyenoord (still one of their best players because Feyenoord was VERY poor this year), so leave him there for a few years then we'll talk. But I cant deny that he has the potential to be the new davids.
Lets hope we bring Soldado back, he has had a fantastic year at Osasuna! Great player.
Socrates 21-06-2007, 02:27:PM Latest news with Soldado is that he wants to renew his contract and he wants to be loaned out again so he has a good shot at making the Euro 2008 squad.

Im still pissed about the Mata sale, i hope some other youngsters come up to the first team though. Torres was a genius find, another of his kind in the midfield would be great :). And Soldado should return, im sure he could play alot, 3 competitions are not easy, so we need another good striker.

NOwhere in my post I said Drenthe was Better than Robinho we cant always wait for the players to become stars because then another big team might step in a buy him and make it harder for us to buy example C.Ronaldo his agent had offered him to play in madrid years ago but he was too young now we want him and we cant get him!!! we are looking for young players and I rather get Drenthe now than buy Robben
he is just a good buy because he can play LM and LB we can have Macelo playing LB and Drenthe for a back up when needed

I didnt say that you think Drenthe was better then Robinho, but lets see. Drenthe is a LB and LMF. Who plays LMF at Real?! Robinho....thats why I said that he is nowhere as good. And also I would keep Reyes instead. ;) Really Robinho is 22/23. Drenthe is 20/21. 2 years difference, but the potential and talent of both are not compareble ;) Its just one of those rumours though, we wont get Drenthe, Feyenoord would never let him go, because they need him for next year. They need him f*ckin badly ;)
Guys a question, Is Mata sold or not yet?! I thought he was sold a few months ago to Valencia, is that true? (that would s*ck!!)

I don't want capello to leave. seriously what must be going through calderon'd head. We just won la liga and he can't come out and say that capello will be our coach for the coming season. Does he want to follow in perez shoes by getting rid of the coach who just won?? I hope we keep capello because unless there is a coach that will guarantee another trophy, there is no point in letting him go.

You make some interesting points, although if you have the type of team we have, even after a less than successful season, you don't just blow them up right away.
I mean, despite playing a long stretch of the season without our best players, we tied for first place with a better goal differential. We still have the one of the best teams in the world, and yes I agree, we need some tweaks. The simple fact is that, during those key injuries to Messi and Eto'o, we didn't have the players who could step in and fill the gaps. I still think you guys need to do more rebuilding than we do.
Madrid overachieved to finish the season, while we underachieved. So if both clubs go back to normal, we'll come out on top. That said, I do think we need to strengthen certain aspects of the squad, and I think this will happen. If you can sign some important players and continue with Capello, you should do alright. But if your crazy president fires him (despite blaming Mijatovic), I think you will have a tough season.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind when you go down in flames, but I also enjoy a strong rivalry, even with the painful ending it sometimes brings. I'll still say it, Madrid was not better than us this year. You did not get more points and you did not score more goals. Our goal differential was double yours. Nonetheless you are champions and that is reality. I live with it and accept it.
Enjoy it, but don't fool yourself into thinking that you are suddenly back to dominance. You still have a lot of work to do.

Actually, I wasn't talking **** about your team. I admire what they did and how they pulled together and did what was necessary to win.
I think what I said was pretty much an accurate description of what happened. Being a better team didn't matter in the end, you're right. You are the champions and we're not and, as I said, I accept that. I also never said "CRAPPY TEAM" as obviously you are not.
I thought I was engaging in intelligent discussion about football, and my favourite club, with rivals, not coming into your thread and causing trouble. If you read a few pages of the Barcelona Thread, you will see many, many posts by Madridistas talking **** and causing trouble, while you will see very few of that same type of post in here by me. (other Cules I can't always vouch for).
Anyway, congrats again on being champions, watch out for us next season as we are taking that trophy back.

Sure we have lots of work to do and even with the work that's needed we won Laa Liga and beat Sevilla convincingly, Valencia convincingly and you guys as well and you had just about everyone playing in that game so all in all I wouldn't say you are better, hardly. As for the goal differential, if you score 5 goals against Nastic, does that mean you are better or doesn't the head to head prove it more? I think our future looks bright with all the young players we have. We are just starting over while you guys have been in tact basically for years.

Again, weekly form and head-to-head battles go up and down over the course of the year.
When I say we have a better team I mean, if you had to pick a starting 11 from the two clubs, I think only 3 Madrid players would be there. Ramos, Casillas and Diarra. Of course, being better on paper means nothing, as we have all seen this year. You have to play the games, and for many reasons Barca underachieved this season. So now the task falls to getting the right pieces in place and getting the team playing back up to potential, which I think could be easier than getting a team to play over their heads again like Madrid did the second half this season.
Plus the coaching circus isn't going to help you guys. Your young guys like Robinho, Higuain, Gago, Ramos, Casillas et al are a great bunch, and I do hope you return to a high level as it is not good for the sport that a great club such as Madrid be in such a shambles for as long as you were.
But I think that Barca has had their "Jalon de orejas" and are going to be back better than ever next year.

Well..we paid 75 million for Zidane when he was 29! Kaka is 23. 6 years younger and 5 million more. If we have so much money then...well *** it, get him. He may be the key to winning a couple more CL titles and liga titles which bring in enormous revenue + shirt sales, liscensing rights, etc. We would get real close to getting our money back! I say do it!
Becks is God 23-06-2007, 12:16:AM I agree, IF we can get him then we have the money and we should sign him, look how much we have wasted on guys like woodgate, baptista, samuel etc. etc. at least this would be a good investment also i think we need 2 or 3 good signings as Barcelona are very close to signing Yaya Toure, Chivu and Thierry Henry.

Valdo is a right winger who can play as an AMC/FC. He is fast, good dribble, pass, and well he is one of the better Osasuna players so he should do you guys well. Yes he did came from our cantera but he has gained more at Osasuna. He is no Ribery though so just keep that in mind.

you got me their mate, but hey if we win the next 5 ligas who do you think is going to be happier? lol... plus at the rate we are winning leagues( 8 in the last 17 years ), i dont see gaining up to you that far fetch, in the meantime we are having fun doing it. :p
zlojack 23-06-2007, 06:22:AM You forgot Ruud! He isn't pichichi for nothing. Not only is he pichichi but pichichi on a Capello side!I think we'll be more than o.k. next season. I see things only getting much better for the next 5 years...unless something drastic happens.
Eto'o > Ruud
No disrespect to Ruud as the man can score goals, but I would take Eto'o over RVN in a heartbeat. After that, Ronaldinho, Messi, Deco, Xavi, Iniesta, Diarra, Puyol, Zambrotta, Ramos, Casillas.
So it's still 3 players.
Something drastic like the president firing the league-winning coach could happen to you this week.
Anyway, as I said, the rivalry is eternal and it is great to see. I am not dissing Madrid, as you obviously have enough of a team to win the league, and have good potential, but at the moment, Barca is better positioned both in terms of talent and future promise.
And again, that doesn't win leagues, points and wins do. So enjoy this championship, despite the fact that we were statistically better, we are not champions and that is the bottom line.
But watch out next year. Henry will do a better job than Ezquerro/Saviola/Gudjohnsen and we aren't done improving the squad yet.
Guillaume 23-06-2007, 11:57:AM Valdo is a right winger who can play as an AMC/FC. He is fast, good dribble, pass, and well he is one of the better Osasuna players so he should do you guys well. Yes he did came from our cantera but he has gained more at Osasuna. He is no Ribery though so just keep that in mind.
Thank you for your answer! Valdo is free so it would be a good transfer. I know it will be hard to replace Ribéry but we have Samir Nasri, amazing playmaker, and some prospects as Giuly or Ziani so... Thx again :)
Drvar 23-06-2007, 12:44:PM But watch out next year. Henry will do a better job than Ezquerro/Saviola/Gudjohnsen and we aren't done improving the squad yet.
just one question, arent you atleast a little worried about the Etoo/Henry thing? I think that will either make or break your team this year.
Jaouadinho 23-06-2007, 01:20:PM just one question, arent you atleast a little worried about the Etoo/Henry thing? I think that will either make or break your team this year.
2 of the moodiest, and arrogant players in world football playing in the same team, i cant wait to see them come to blows on the pitch like bower and dyer a couple of seasons ago for newcastle.

Well, since they are good friends, I'm not so worried.
I'm more worried about Ronaldinho. But at the same time, with everyone having a full summer of rest and a proper pre-season, I think they will be stronger next year in that sense. I hope Ronnie comes in with a renewed work ethic as that was lacking this season from him.
justhammy 24-06-2007, 11:04:PM Calderon again proves that he is inconsistent in everything. He said that the decision of Capello will be in 2/3 weeks time. Weird sh*t!
KingPaulV 24-06-2007, 11:48:PM So I pose a serious issue, /question to you all fellow Madridistas....How does Madrid counter the lates two signings from Barca, I will say that lets not be naive, with Beckham's departure, it is important that we secure one or two big signings, this summer; to be able to replace and redoubt Barca....so...WHO?? Kaka already said he wasnt coming I read a report that says, that Calderon was willing to put $100 down for the man, that is crazy to me, personally, just dumb actually...
Becks is God 25-06-2007, 12:23:AM With Barca signing Henry and widely expected to wrap up deals for Yaya Toure , Chivu and Abidal before the window shuts i think we really do need 2 or 3 big signings. Kaka would be amazing and while i wouldn't completely rule him out it's looking more likely he will stay with Milan, i think Arjen Robben may be one of the faces to arrive in Madrid, another Striker is needed, Olivera and Saviola are targets as well as Tevez and Adriano. That leaves LB which will probaby be filled by Gabriel Heinze and Gabriel Milito is also rumoured to prefer us to Juve. My ideal line-up next season would be:
--------------Casillas-----------------
--------------------------------------
-Ramos---Milito---Cannavarro--Heinze-
--------------------------------------
------------Diarra--Gago--------------
-------------------------------------
----Robinho---------------Robben----
-------------Kaka-------------------
-----------------Ruud--------------

We should only sign players we need, and think about this. We spent €66m on a much older player in Zidane so spending €80m or so should make sense for Kaka don't you think? Now I don't want to do this because right now we have more than just 1 position to solve so we can't really just splash out 80 million and continue getting players. Also any hope we had of getting Kaka goes away as soon as Calderon opens his mouth about him, Kaka is too much of a gentelmen to force his way out otherwise he would join us but the problem is dealing with Milan.
Anyway this season it looks like we have done some basman singing's. Metzelder is for sure and according to rumors Saviola and Dudek could also join us.
One last thing, if Alves joins us he should play as a right winger not a RB ( we already have a RB who can't defend in Cicinho, Alves is a better defender but not that great as he can get cought out of position quite easily ).
MaestroZidane 25-06-2007, 03:33:AM I just want calderon to finally say that capello is staying and that we are keeping reyes. I can't understand why he must act like this and not commit to the guy that just won us the title.
Moreira_Benfica 25-06-2007, 04:26:AM because you could get a better play for the money it takes to keep reyes....
yt23w 25-06-2007, 08:52:AM So, summing up the rumor mill so far...:
IN:
Dudek - GK - well, i guess we could use him as a back up.
G. Milito - CB - Have signed?
Metzelder - CB - Have signed.
Heinze - LB -Have we made an offer?
Drenthe - LB - Young LB, could he replace Marcello already?
D. Alves - RB - Again, have we made an offer? and does that mean Cichinho is going?
Kaka - AMF -Seemingly nearly totally improbable to get our hands on.
Malouda - WF - not much talk about him really.
Robben - WF -Just signed a 5 year deal with Chelsea. (personally, i dont want him)
Ricardo Oliveira - ST - A back-up/replacement/cover for Raul/Ruud?
Saviola - ST - Him or Soldado?
Soldado - ST - Him or Saviola? (my vote is for Soldado)
Tevez- ST - just a rumor? or is there real interest?
OUT:
Kiko Casillas - GK - Espanyol have signed him.
Diego Lopez - GK - Villareal have signed him.
Meija - CB - wanted by Mallorca and Zaragoza.
Cannavaro - CB - Juventus + hes gettin older. (not toooo old tho)
Pavon - CB - Olympiakos have offered a contract to him.
Cassano - SS - Napoli want him to go back. (I totally forgot we had him....whoooops!)
Portillo - CF - well, has already signed with Osasuna.
So thats:
OUT: 2 GK's, 3 CB's, 1 SS and 1 CF
IN: 1 GK, 2 CB's, 2 LB's, 1 RB, 1 AMF, 2 WF's and 4 ST
Have i missed anyone???
and remember....this is NOT a complete list of the ACTUAL players that we are after/signed.
Jaouadinho 25-06-2007, 10:51:AM why does everyone keep saying we need a left back, we have 3 players who can play in that position torres, marcelo and raul bravo, id say play torres there untill marcelo gets a bit mot mature. we really shouldnt get heinze iam telling u the guy is worse then salgado except salgado actully can defend.
we really dont need another striker if we get soldado back thats it, the guy is pretty good and i would like us to have a player from the cantera. We have ruud, raul, higuin, soldado thats 4 players in one 2 positions, and robinho and guti can play second striker, and reyes if he stays.
what we really need is wingers we should keep reyes and try to get a new right winger. an offensive midfielder as well, kaka is probably out of the question so i would say someone like nasri or diego i dont know.
i really hope calderon doesnt try and pay crazy amount like 100 mil for kaka because he isnt worth that much.
people say oh he is younger then zidane and we payed a lot for zidane, kaka is no zidane personally i think zidane is much better then kaka, i think kaka i snot worth more then £35 mill.
PSVFOREVER 25-06-2007, 01:19:PM Drenthe at LB? He's probably one of the worst left defenders I've seen in the Eredivisie last season. At left midfield he's good though.

looks like we have to wait another 2 weeks to find out whose the new manager goig to be.
calderon is really starting to piss me off, he should just say to capello he will stay on as coach. the preseason starts in a few weeks, and we need to have all the signings ready so we are not behind schedule again this summer.
bit random but i found this hilarious especially the guti one, LMAO

KingPaulV 25-06-2007, 07:05:PM So then its pretty clear that our transfer situation outside of Metzelder and Alves is pretty much in the air....that just stinks. I agree with the fact we should only sign who we need, but the questions about who our coach is going to be coupled with buying who we need versus who we can get to counter Barca is really unsettling....
KingPaulV 25-06-2007, 07:47:PM OK Folk I got some news here
Pedja has already stated that Capello wont be staying as a matte rof fact both him and Calderon have cut comms with Capello. Schuster is the main candidate but....Getafe's president has bad juju wirth Calderon so it is possible that he might move to block the pass of Schuster....Pedja already has a plan for a replacement for Schuster should that deal fall thru, the candidates are:
Laudrup
Wenger
Koeman
Laudrup has declined an offer from Recre and has placed one from Getafe on hold until the Madrid situation clears.....
so that is the info on the coaches so far....
KingPaulV 25-06-2007, 07:51:PM Oh yeah, Metzelder is official He is a Madrid Player :D

no way to laudrap and koemen.
wenger is the only one on that list that i would take.
unless we are defentley getting wenger, we shouldnt let capello go.
KingPaulV 25-06-2007, 08:21:PM Well, Pedja believes that winning is not enough, admitedly we won the Liga with bad football and lots of heart, that is a typical characteristic of a Capello team, so that Pedja wants better football along with the titles, Capello, they feel cannot provide that, so that is the reason they are getting rid of him. Me personally, I like Capello's winning attitude he instills, in the players, He is one of a winning mentality, all around and that really showed with us
KingPaulV 26-06-2007, 04:01:PM Some more info...Tevez might be coming. Pedja Mijatovic has indeed started talks with West Ham owners for the details of a transfer. Tevez has already stated his desire to move to a bigger club, the other rivals are Inter and Chelsea

i doubt we will get him, like i said i prefer soldado and saviola before him.
he is too pricey.
MaestroZidane 26-06-2007, 05:06:PM Teves won't be coming, he said it himself that he prefers inter over real.. I really don't know what to say about the capello rumor. I guess we will see where we are at in december. I just hope Pedja and calderon know what F**K they are doing.

pedja does but calderon doesnt know **** about football. the only thing he seems to know is KAKA, AND SOME MORE KAKA.
which is a good thing as long as he keeps away from it.
i hope we keep capello, he wont play great attacking foorball but it wont be as boring as the begening of the season he seems to have changed his style a bit.
Reikko 26-06-2007, 05:50:PM I can't understand why Real isn't trying to transfer Quaresma...He's one of the best wing playes right now...he can take Beckham's place...

Bosman Ruling. Basically it means a player is not getting enough ttime on the pitch or not being played a smuch as he was told he could play so he options out of his contract; he puts himself available for transfer...
Well that info I had from Tevez seems to agree that while Tevez would preffer Inter he would not be opposed to come to Madrid, just as big if not bigger club....I personally wouldnt mind Tevez, he showed great level at the WC and England, he is an explosive player something Madrid has been lacking since Ronnie's good days

thats a bit of a lame reason to buy tevez and ronnie is 10 times better then him.
MaestroZidane 26-06-2007, 07:45:PM I Hope that reyes leaving is not true. It be a shame to let go of the player that won us the title :(
F4rrukh 26-06-2007, 07:48:PM Hey PaulV thanks about the Bosman Ruling help :). Hopefully Saviola will come to us.. I have this bad feeling don't know why that Tevez won't be easy to get, I don't think he will choose us but if he comes no problem :).
We also need another GK to backup Casillas, do you think Dudek will come? He said he would like to join for a very big club.. so I think the chances are high.
If Wenger comes it's fine but if he doesn't I don't want Capello to leave even though we had quite a bad start last season. But come on guys the start was bad naturally as everyone was new and it took time to collaborate and look it payed off as a La Liga title! We should keep Capello, I am really fed up with this coach changing every season. If right now another coach comes we will again have to start from 0 and go up! That will be because then again all the players and everyone will start working as the new coach says and everything will be mixed up exactly like how it was in the 1st part of the 06/07 season!
KingPaulV 26-06-2007, 08:02:PM Well certainly changing coaches like we have been over the past few seasons has not helped us win any more titles....lets not forget this was our first anything in four years, so yes i agree changing coaches doesnt work for us or anybody for that matter, there should be some continuity....As far as Capello...well, see, the thing with Capello is a tradeoff, you either get good football which could result in titles or not (look at Barca) or you could get bad football, lots of physical and mental sacrifice and a higher likelyhood of championships.....The mindset in Madrid and really the mindset of Pedja (because Calderon has NOTHING to do with football operations) is that he wants to keep the tradition of Madrid good football and championships....that is why Capello is not going to stay.
You can count him out, I am telling you, He is gone, I think in the end Schuster will be our coach and he has a descent record, needless to say he has dreamt of coaching Madrid from forever.
Tevez, most likely wont come. Javier 'Pupi" Zanetti is a longtime rossonieri and he is also one of Tevez closest friends, same for Passarella, so yes, I definetly put Tevez chance of coming at %30
As far as Dudek, yeah I can definetly see that happening but it wont be a priority remember that a couple of our cantera guys are more than descent as backups, who knows maybe this will help develop the next Iker Casillas, the fact is that Spain produces some high quality GKs so that we dont need to go out of Spain to look for a backup
Jaouadinho 26-06-2007, 08:15:PM the thing is though shuster doesnt play attractive football he plays more of the same style as capello, he is german after all. if they think schuster is going to play good football they can forget it, if u look at getafe's statistics they have the best defnese in la liga and one of the teams who have scored the fewest goals in the league as well.
KingPaulV 26-06-2007, 08:25:PM Yeah but Getafe didnt have the offensive potential nor the players Madrid has or had
Jaouadinho 26-06-2007, 08:29:PM Yeah but Getafe didnt have the offensive potential nor the players Madrid has or had
the jury is still out on schuster, yeh he was a great player but it doesnt nesecarily mean he is a good coach at the top level, if we were desperate then he would be a good choice but we have capello and he has a contract we should just stick with capello.
justhammy 26-06-2007, 08:53:PM I dont know, but everyone here says that Capello didnt give us good football. Well, to tell you the truth...I FREAKIN ENJOYED watching my team after the Christmas break. Gago, Robinho, Higuain, Ruud, DIARRA, Ramos, Torres....They were magnificant. I really enjoyed watching that team. Even Raul did good. I forgot about Guti! Fantastic and Becks was superb.
In short, Capello deserves to stay. He gave us the title, bad football or not I dont care. (I thought it was good football for the past 10-15 games) We got the title! It would be just idiotic to sack him. Like it was stupid to sack Del Bosque. Everyone might want Schuster, but I dont know about him....I wasnt impressed by Getafe. And about Wenger...well he could be good, but for one reason I dont want him here. He would turn Real into a youth team. Youth players are good (look at Higuain, Torres and Gago), but Wenger really over does it. I dont want us to have only 20 year olds in the team and that they tell us that we have a great future. Real Madrid isnt a team for those experiments. So Capello should stay, because IMO there arent better coaches available.
