yoyo913 26-06-2011, 08:26:PM You should move Jones to center back. Nimreitz 26-06-2011, 10:29:PM Definitely either bundesliga or the eridivisie; they're the two leagues left that are known for teaching and valuing a highly technical and creative style of play. actually, one place that'd be interesting would be barca b, although i have no idea how that might work or if it'd even be feasible (i note that their entire roster sans one mexican is spanish born). think about how much he'd pick up there, though, in a dedicated development team. Barca B aren't really professionals. I mean, they kind of are, but not really; it's a development squad. Germany, a team like Hannover (a team that's had success with an American in the past) or something like that would probably be the best for him. Higher level than Holland, but I think there would be playing time available. And I think as far as bringing him in on loan, it wouldn't be too much of a gamble for a newly promoted side to bring him in. Arnau 26-06-2011, 11:00:PM Barça B is a professional squad and they finished 3th in liga adelante. Their main objective it's players development but they would be fighting for a europa league spot in first division. There are only 2 teams in the city, Barça and Barça B, **** you Espanyol de cornellà (H). Nimreitz 26-06-2011, 11:06:PM Yeah, but they don't go out and buy players, and I think the contracts their players get are different from the contracts of the first team. They do, Nolito and Armando for example were signed to improve the squad not as a future posible Barça player, this season we are going to sign Kiko Femenía and José Ángel for Barça B team. farmboy 27-06-2011, 01:58:AM The fact that they aren't 'full pro' is kind of the point. The issue Freddy has has in every single team he's signed for is that they can't waste any time or games teaching him. They all wanted to, and all saw what he COULD be, but he would have been a liability for them on the field. Do whatever you want in practice, you aren't going to improve much if you're riding the pine. Thus, he needs to sign somewhere where they have an established history of IMPROVING and EDUCATING players; somewhere they can afford to give him playing time and allow him to make mistakes without having the pressure of a championship fight or looming relegation. A development team, in other words. Obviously, he needs enough money to live off of, but beyond that, taking a pay cut for assurances of playing time and individual training would be prudent IMO. I'm not saying Barca B is the right move, merely that it's an intriguing idea. Nimreitz 27-06-2011, 10:10:AM Well, he's also not anywhere close to good enough to play for Barca B. Thiago was playing at Barca B last year; Thiago is really good. farmboy 27-06-2011, 04:12:PM fair enough. i rescind the idea. i still think he could stand to play on a reserve/development team somewhere. What the hell!!!!?? He will be introduced at a press conference on Monday August 1 in the unofficial capital of the world - New York City, New York. In case you are wondering, the US debt ceiling deadline is midnight on Monday August 1. Will America care about Jurgen Klinsmann on August 1? Nimreitz 30-07-2011, 12:48:PM Dan, I expect you're thrilled! :-D The sad part is that no one understands how ****ty he is. I've been at war on a friends' facebook wall. Did you know that people are giving Klinsmann credit for the youth explosion in Germany recently? Has nothing to do with the $20 million invested in 2002 by the DFB at all, it was all Klinsmann! His lack of faith in Kroos and his selling of Hummels for Magic Beans alone should disqualify him from any position that requires the evaluation of talent. |
