View Full Version : Edit game text J.Karlsson 11-08-2000, 10:31:PM I changed the name of the stadiums to the Swedish stadium names with FEd99, but when I started Fifa 99, all game text was messed up! The language is set to Swedish, but if I changed to another language, it was ok - it's only when the language is set to Swedish as the game text is messed up! Does anyone have any idea why this happened or how to solve it? Kohler 12-08-2000, 12:49:AM Yep, I have! All game texts base on the English game text! The English game text is sorted by alphabet while the others are just translated without being resorted to alphabetical order! Now if you change the game text with FEd99 the editor automatically sorts the text by alphabet again! This may work with the English game text but not with the Swedish, German, French or whatever... Just copy your default game text from the CD back to your data/cmn/fe folder, remove the "read only" protection of the file and then edit the game text with MS WORD or a different text program! But be careful!!! Don't change the order of the text and don't forget to save changes in the end! Good luck! That's strange... did you save the changes in WORD? And did you remove the read only protection before you opened the file with WORD? I don't know... if you want I can do it for you?
