Funky--K 03-07-2006, 02:32:PM they should be stripped out of their european title (H)
Tiago_10 03-07-2006, 02:37:PM ^ Ahah Agreed :shades:
hs232 03-07-2006, 03:10:PM What exactly did Greece do to get them kicked out? What law was passed?
Punkt 03-07-2006, 03:17:PM according to FIFA the national federations must be totally indepedent of the governamens. apparently this isn't happen in Greece. another stupidity of FIFA that thinks it's a different world over the countries own laws.
Shortstraw 03-07-2006, 03:30:PM If they are suspended for the champions league who would take up their places? Extra qualifying rounds?
WilliamFAlmeida 03-07-2006, 03:36:PM I agree with this rule, and if they break it- gotta do what you gotta do
Help? 03-07-2006, 03:38:PM OMG, Rob actually wasn't kidding!
JJSFC 03-07-2006, 03:49:PM This is stupid, and who will take thir place in europe competition?
VanTheMan 03-07-2006, 04:07:PM Spurs and Blackburn in for two greek clubs in the CL? :bob:
Shortstraw 03-07-2006, 04:13:PM I think they may give a team like tottenham a place in the qualifying round, and make one of the better teams in the qualifying round (e.g. Liverpool) an automatic qualifier.
Help? 03-07-2006, 04:15:PM Nah, you guys shouldn't be jumping at conclusions too fast. This situation is funny, but i'll be really surprised if Greece doesn't sort it out in the next month.
MaSsiVe 03-07-2006, 04:28:PM haha (H)
Da Kid 03-07-2006, 04:31:PM Nah, you guys shouldn't be jumping at conclusions too fast. This situation is funny, but i'll be really surprised if Greece doesn't sort it out in the next month.
I totaly agree........... :junior:
$teauA 03-07-2006, 05:14:PM I don't even have a problem with Greece but this is great because of a certain member we have here on SG (H)
haha
Theblobber 03-07-2006, 05:27:PM ^I agree. Why is everyone so pleased?
Everyone isn't pleased. The Turks on here will be as they have a hatred of Greece. That might explain the reaction.
Best's_cadaver 03-07-2006, 05:29:PM Italy should really follow mates. i mean talking about dependance..
Psyatika 03-07-2006, 06:12:PM The law makes sense though. National governments should not be wasting their time deciding football matters, and should have nothing to do with football.
In the USA, the government has been getting heavily involved with baseball, and it's a ******* joke to see these highly paid politicians sitting around talking about baseball players and steriods and **** instead of doing something useful for the country.
Theblobber 03-07-2006, 06:29:PM Italy should really follow mates. i mean talking about dependance..
I think if this match fixing thing is true then Italy should be banned from european and International competiton for a period of time similar to English Football's banishment during the eighties after Heysel. It will never happen though.
Everyone isn't pleased. The Turks on here will be as they have a hatred of Greece. That might explain the reaction.
meh, I don't hate them.. there's something called sportsmanship (H)
actually a win against greece would please me more... and I agree, you're a bit quick jumping on this bandwagon.. I think greeks will sort this out.. :shades:
Rui10Costa 03-07-2006, 08:44:PM hahaha thats what greece gets for beating portugal in the final...portugal should get the title now
bmpv666 03-07-2006, 09:15:PM it won't, and i don't want it, at least in such a way.
anyway, it's a shame that the European Champion can't live up that title, it seems that the burden was too heavier than they thought.... :nape:
$teauA 04-07-2006, 12:47:AM still no pontiakos reply? this is dissapointing

Ubik Valis 04-07-2006, 04:04:AM The amount of sh!t people talk here has reached new heights. I never thought you people could do it, but congratulations. (Y)
Jannes 04-07-2006, 04:09:AM lolol
Pontiakos 04-07-2006, 05:49:AM Well I'm glad everyone is so happy. I'm sure the Euro still hurts alot of you.
Any way this is temporary until the new law goes into effect! The new law is set to pass parliament by the end of this week.
As usual Greece takes its time doing things......we had the greatest olympics of all time and we finished the stadiums a week before. I dont' see why everyone is so startled at this.
In Greece we do things when we want not when others dictate it to us. Fifa will eat its words soon enough.
The haters can F*ck Off.
:ewan:
Bam-Bam 04-07-2006, 06:46:AM These idiots don't even explain what laws have been violated.
How can FIFA diactate the terms to a Sovern Country anyway?
It sounds to me it's FIFA who's arrogant. :-puke:
Nimreitz 04-07-2006, 10:33:AM In Greece we do things when we want not when others dictate it to us. Fifa will eat its words soon enough.
That seems like a bad attitude, I always thought you wanted to defend your European Title, but I guess not.
So I was wrong in an earlier post, Rehhagel won't be leaving at the end of 2007, he'll be leaving mid 2006.
You know what cracked me up? Saying Athens 2004 was the best Olympics.
With stadiums that were rushed to be finished, empty seats at every event, etc. Sydney = best olympics, mate.
Nimreitz 04-07-2006, 11:09:AM Actually it was Atlanta, but you guys can feel free to decide who's second best.
It had everything including a pipe bomb to keep everyone on their toes.
Seán D 04-07-2006, 11:17:AM haha
