italianstyle87 11-06-2007, 01:39:AM Trezeguet: Adieu Juve
http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jun10r.html
don't think you can make a gesture like that and still hang around next season
he's given a lot, which is why it's sad to see him go
I can't judge him, he has always given 100% and made history with us, should be treated better. Though I think someone like Secco or even Ranieri could talk him through and make him stay, would be a shame and a stupid mistake to let him go (even if we do sign Huntelaar).
Filipower 11-06-2007, 06:23:PM nevermind, you guys just got Iaquinta for like €10mill :p
Link please? Hopefully he'll understand that he should be the main scorer of the team since that's the reason he was signed for, with Trezeguet leaving.
mark77 11-06-2007, 07:06:PM to replace Zalayeta...
You think we'll get Klaas too, Mark?
mark77 11-06-2007, 07:16:PM Very good probability now that Trez is probably leaving.
Merci pour tout David!!! (Y)
Filipower 11-06-2007, 07:46:PM Iaquinta and Huntelaar?
where the hell are these clubs getting all this money from? United, Bayern, Juve, wtf man
JuventusForever 11-06-2007, 08:08:PM Don't really like Iaquinta, but if he's a Zalayeta replacement i'll take him any day.
italianstyle87 12-06-2007, 01:27:AM Iaquinta and Huntelaar?
where the hell are these clubs getting all this money from? United, Bayern, Juve, wtf man
juve signed off cannavaro, emerson, thuram, zambrotta, vieira and zlatan just to name a few with value, and now possibly trezeguet
plenty of cash to splash
mark77 12-06-2007, 01:43:AM about 40m + sells
italianstyle87 12-06-2007, 11:37:PM ranieri- miccoli will return

Tiago_10 13-06-2007, 12:53:AM ranieri- miccoli will return
Ah man, well I guess I was expecting something that to happen... :(
Though, I'll be hoping he does well for you guys in this new season :)
italianstyle87 13-06-2007, 06:08:AM i reckon we start a new thread
new league, quite a few fresh faces
deserves a new thread, juve are definitely onto the next chapter now
ShAnDo 13-06-2007, 08:14:AM nevermind, you guys just got Iaquinta for like €10mill :p
Please tell me that's a joke.
It's been like a month now of summer transfer season and no new players for juve? C'mon we need a lot of signings if we want to get back in the top places of the Serie A. What happened to Alex, Milito, Huntelaar... I even saw a Lampard rumour a couple of pages back and not even one signing?
And c'mon Iaquinta in to replace Trezeguet? He can't even fill his shoes for 10 minutes.
I seriously hope to see some singnings this week or i'll start to worry. I'm guessing we will end up getting de leftovers of the transfer window. :boohoo:
mark77 13-06-2007, 01:48:PM we did sign Salihamidzic, Grygera and Criscito. :mexican:
latest rumors are Iaquinta, Huntelaar/Gilardino, Diego, Almiron/Tiago, Mavuba/Sissoko, G. Milito(almost done), Cris/Barzagli...

iaquinta is a done deal
and yeah i'm happy with the milito situation
then from there i'd go almiron, sissoko, the hunter and barzagli(unless criscito is good enough), and probably another central midfielder
Filipower 14-06-2007, 12:57:AM yeah Iaquinta is confirmed
mark77 14-06-2007, 01:25:AM I know it's a done deal but I always wait for the official announcement on the Juve or other team's site.
Could we confirm some players tomorrow? ;)
mark77 14-06-2007, 01:28:AM Since Hendrik is lurking here, what's the deal with Bild linking us with VdV? They want 20m €? ;)
Hendrik 14-06-2007, 01:57:AM Since Hendrik is lurking here, what's the deal with Bild linking us with VdV? They want 20m €? ;)
Sh*tty source to be honest. They're quoting Czech friends of Nedved who allegedly said Juve really want van der Vaart.
They say Juve are willing to pay €10M but Hamburg won't listen to any offers under €20M.
mark77 14-06-2007, 02:19:AM thanks, friends, uncles, the maid....those sources are 99% always BS. I guess we'll take *cough*Diego*cough* then. :p
Socrates 14-06-2007, 05:23:AM G. Milito(almost done)
Yep, I have heard the same thing. It's very close to being done and the pricetag is around 20 million euros.
BTW what is up with Trez? He seems very pissed off at the club for something?
Zalayeta Heading Towards Livorno
The Juventus striker wants more playing time on the field and with the arrivals of new players, the Uruguay attacker will find it more difficult to find space in the Bianconeri's first eleven next season.
Marcelo Zalayeta is searching for a new team who can guarantee him first team football and this would seem the case with Livorno who are searching for a new striker to replace Cristiano Lucarelli in case that the Amaranti's captain leaves the club this summer.
Juventus are ready to accept the Tuscan club's offer for their striker, where Zalayeta would join Livorno on loan for a season.
Apparently it was the same President Spinelli who made the request to sign the player as he is a keen admirer of the striker's qualities.
Zalayeta did not feature much in Juventus this season, despite playing in Serie B, however the Uruguay attacker still managed to score a few important goals for the Old Lady on their way back to Serie A.
Catania are also interested in signing Zalayeta, but Livorno are currently in the driver's seat.

Juve offered him a new contract but for less $$$. Valencia, Arsenal, Lyon...want him but the offers are low.
Socrates 14-06-2007, 03:23:PM Juve offered him a new contract but for less $$$. Valencia, Arsenal, Lyon...want him but the offers are low.
Wow, he is that mad over a contract?(:/) I know he has done a lot for Juve but if everything I read is true than he is going overboard a little bit.
mark77 15-06-2007, 03:06:AM He's just pissed because he thought the board didn't believe in him by offering him less.
anyway...unofficial news here...after DD and Tardelli...Secco could be the next to leave and be replaced by Sartori(Chievo). Bettega could do the job also or a long shot...Lippi.
more news tomorrow.
marko should stop dreaming about Gilardino :(
ShAnDo 15-06-2007, 06:43:AM Man I hope that Trezeguet stays...
after what happened, I really much doubt it. you dont go tell the whole world when theres a problem, unless of course, you dont care and want to leave.

is tardelli much of a loss really?
likewise with secco, juve sell themselves as a club, don't need him to do it, it's not like his some sort of genius like moggi (apart from the illeagal stuff)
mark77 15-06-2007, 01:49:PM Dream about Gila...I prefer 100x The Hunter, even Diego Milito.
Tardelli was useless with Juve, not a big loss. More of a win since Bettega will get more power.
No Secco news this morning...could be BS.

i'd say at this stage he'd be seen as a back-up player (could be, but dearly hope that he's not a trezeguet replacement)
and for a back-up he's very good indeed, WC winner, consistent scorer in serie a, can play CF and wing and support roles when needed, experienced while not being ridiculously old
btw mark, on the hunter, i read that he said he'd only ever want to play at madrid, i don't know when he said these comments however

Oh that's only statistical crap, we all know that he's not that good. And seeing how calm is the transfer scene for Juve I would say that Iaquinta is Trez's replacement... hello 10th place!
Socrates 16-06-2007, 12:15:AM btw mark, on the hunter, i read that he said he'd only ever want to play at madrid, i don't know when he said these comments however
You serious? Too bad we don't really need a ST right now as Soldado should be back with us next season. Anyway soccer players always say things like that and end up joining whichever team is out there.
italianstyle87 16-06-2007, 12:47:AM Oh that's only statistical crap, we all know that he's not that good. And seeing how calm is the transfer scene for Juve I would say that Iaquinta is Trez's replacement... hello 10th place!
he's scored 50 goals in the last 4 seasons
that's a statisic that says he can score
don't worry about the quietness of the mercato, still 1 and half months to go, just because you don't read everything doesn't mean it's not happening
most of the people that right those articles throw a dart at a team, then a dart at a player from another, and make a transfer story out of it
mark77 16-06-2007, 01:36:AM If Trez is leaving(Valencia?) then The Hunter won't object to come here. He would be happy to join us don't worry. ;)
Ajax have been very nice with us and gave us their word that if we want him before a certain date they will sell him to us for about 16-18m €. I heard 16m. Arsenal make a query and Ajax said sorry because of our relationship with them. The deal started when we talked with them about Grygera.
We can't screw this one now.

Xifio 17-06-2007, 07:16:AM hey guys,
i know that transfer rumours are rife around Juventus right now, but is there any truth in the 'Rafael van der Vaart to Juve' rumours?
I think we've all seen the various articles that claims Nedved to have 'let-slip' Juventus' interest in him ... but then the article also quotes vdV saying that Real Madrid is his dream club, which I know is not true because Raffie's grandmother is from Barcelona (and during his time at Ajax, he made no secret of wanting to one day play for Barcelona at the Camp Nou -- his favourite stadium) ...
so I just wanted to find out from Turin/Italy residents -- or other people 'in the know' -- if there is any truth at all in these rumours ... would love to also know what your opinion would be if such a move were to take place ...
cheers.

Nedved: Juve want Van der Vaart
Czech international Pavel Nedved has revealed Juventus are keen to land Hamburg playmaker Rafael Van der Vaart.
The Italian giants bounced straight back to Serie A last season and according to Nedved, new boss Claudio Ranieri wants the Dutchman to run their midfield next term.
"Juventus are incredibly keen on Rafael. They want him to guide our game," Nedved was quoted in German daily Bild.
Reports suggest the Old Lady are ready to test Hamburg's resolve with a €10 million (£6.8million) bid.
The Hamburg skipper, who is tied to the AOL Arena side until 2010, recently turned down an offer from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and left no doubts about his strong commitment to the Rothosen.
Tosiek 17-06-2007, 12:12:PM That would be something, if you get VDV.(H)
JuventusForever 17-06-2007, 01:24:PM I really dunno about Van der Vaart in Italy, I mean he's a great player, but he's too prone to injury..

Iaquinta is Bianconero
Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that the agreement with Udinese Calcio S.p.A. for the acquisition of the registration rights of the player Vincenzo Iaquinta has been finalized.
Juventus Football Club and the player have signed a 5-years contract of employment.
Iaquinta: "I have grown up year-on-year and after seven seasons in Udine the moment has arrived to make a jump of quality in order to test myself with a challenge that only a great club like Juventus can offer. I believe that I am the right age to realise this dream. I like pressure and I cannot wait to start this new adventure."

considering we got Suazo for €14m.. :D
I cant help it man, Iaquinta :rockman:
Tosiek 19-06-2007, 12:46:PM Juve and Milan already bought strikers, meanwhile Roma is waiting for a miracle. :(
Roma got Barusso. He's gonna be big.
Besides, Roma always buy strikers but still end up using Totti as the tip of the formation.

Almiron, G. Milito, Tiago, Diego(pushing it a bit but who knows?), Barzagli(don't want him), Huntelaar(who changed from Adidas to Nike ;)..next?
italianstyle87 19-06-2007, 01:47:PM I am surprised you didnt get my joke :(
explain it then
mark, don't you think barzagli would be a pretty good acquisition for a season or two? there is definitely better, but he's available, and has performed in serie a
I hope you guys finalize Almiron quickly. It'll give more time for Milan to negotiate Tiago.
mark77 19-06-2007, 01:53:PM Tiago said he prefers Juve over Milan and Barca. With the other two he'd be on the bench.
I don't like Barzagli...if we can't get Milito(we will) then Cris is another option. Barzagli sucked last year. I don't think we told him to suck so we'd get him at a lower price. :p

i'm thinking of the partner to milito, which is why i'm happy to settle for barzagli as it's already a win with getting milito
criscito and milito maybe?
I know, but with Almiron and Tiago, you have no steel in midfield (nice rhythmics, eh? :D)
The ideal situation is for Juve to wrap up Almiron, and now that Emerson has excluded the possibility of joining Milan, you guys get him, and Tiago has no choice but to go to Milan :p
mark77 19-06-2007, 02:04:PM I don't want Emerson either. He's 50 and plays on one leg, let him go to Inter thinking they got you back for the Suazo deal. Brilliant work by Galliani. ;)
If the Milito deal falls or we really want another D with him then the Samuel rumor will resurface although I don't like 2 lefties playing together(Samuel/Milito...Milito/Criscito).
Criscito would learn a lot from Milito and even Samuel so we should keep him.
why are you not comfortable with two lefties playing together when LOTS of defender partnerships around the world are two righties?
mark77 19-06-2007, 02:15:PM Because you rarely see them play together and from what I saw lefties have more trouble with their positioning if they play on the right side of the CB position. If they are also decent with the right then it's ok.
anyway, Almiron will probably announced in a few hours, MAX tomorrow.
About Iaquinta, I'm happy we bought him. He runs the whole 90m+ and for a tall guy that's great. He can play with 2 in the front or even on the right of a 3 men striking force. He could be very useful IMO.
Juventino 19-06-2007, 02:36:PM Iaquinta's most viewed YouTube video...

mmmmmmm he had a hair on his chest in the world cup!!
where did the haire go??
Anyway.... As long as another mid comes too, I'm fine with Almiron. Still an upgrade over what we have now. Could Tiago Almiron work in midfield?
I dont think so. Both are not defensive minded.
And this is Juve man. At least 3 DM's have to start (H)
Mr. Pirlo-Gattuso-Ambrosini is talking?
Pirlo is not a defensive midfielder.
And Milan play with two super attacking fullbacks, so it balances up :D

Tiago to join Juve, say Lyon
Wednesday 20 June, 2007
French champions Lyon have revealed that Juventus are very close to signing midfield ace Tiago.
The Bianconeri have been paired with the Portuguese star over the past few weeks after the player himself admitted that his time with the Ligue 1 outfit was over.
“We cannot say that a deal has been finalised, but that is only because there are a few details that still need to be clarified,” said Lyon official Marino Faccioli.
“However, we can semi-officially say that Tiago will join Juventus.”
Bianconeri director general Jean-Claude Blanc has also confirmed that negotiations are underway to bring the 26-year-old to the Stadio Olimpico.
“We are working on this operation and Tiago is moving closer to Juventus,” he declared.
The international turned down the offer of a contract extension at Christmas and is valued at £12m by chief Jean-Michel Aulas.
Tiago, a reported target for Milan as well, joined Lyon in 2005 after appearing for Sporting Braga, Benfica and Chelsea.
The midfielder contributed to his club’s record sixth straight League title last term and played an important role in the Portugal side that reached the semi-finals of last summer’s World Cup.
Juventus are also on the verge of signing Empoli star Sergio Almiron, whose capture is expected to be announced shortly.

italianstyle87 20-06-2007, 11:46:AM ......and perhaps.....cannavaro too? little bit too hard to believe this one
Real join Milito chase
Wednesday 20 June, 2007
Juventus’ proposed capture of Real Zaragoza stopper Gabriel Alejandro Milito may be complicated by Real Madrid.
Both sides want the Argentine international with the Old Lady of Italian football seemingly in pole position.
However, a report in Spain on Tuesday claims that Real could still launch a bid for the defender – even after he joins the Bianconeri.
According to AS, Real sporting director Predrag Mijatovic is ready to contact the Italian club where they will offer Juve cash and Fabio Cannavaro in return.
The Golden Ball winner may quit Spain this summer if rumours suggesting that Coach Fabio Capello will be sacked – in favour of Bernd Schuster – turn out to be true.
The Merengues are reportedly willing to part with Cannavaro, who left Juve last summer, and are ready to offer his services plus £12m to sign Milito.
Nevertheless, the chances of such a transfer taking place look slim. Juventus are unlikely to waste their effort signing the South American and then letting him go almost immediately.
Cannavaro’s agent, Gaetano Fedele, is also adamant that the 2006 World Cup winning captain is going nowhere.
“I think Cannavaro’s return to Italy is unlikely,” he said. “He likes it in Madrid and I don’t think Capello’s destiny will change his position in any way.
“We have been contacted by Juventus recently, but only because they wanted to congratulate us for the Liga title and we did the same for their return to Serie A.”
Juventino 20-06-2007, 12:39:PM Even if it was true it would be stupid to accept such a deal. Cannavaro only has 2, maybe 3 good seasons left in him, plus Milito is probably the best defender on the market right now. If Milito signs for Juve he's here to stay.
JuventusForever 20-06-2007, 09:59:PM Boy am I glad to hear about the dirty financial stuff at Inter. If they'll lose any Scudetti revenge will be even sweeter.

italianstyle87 22-06-2007, 04:43:AM more great news
tiago is a proven class act, but i'm more excited about almiron to be honest, i think he has more improvement left in him
this is such an exciting time, it was so hard watching all those players leave last summer, elements of them will never be replaced, but now it's great to be getting in all this fresh talent
it will take time for the team to gel, but i think there is no doubt juve will have a championship winning team on paper come season's start
Juventino 22-06-2007, 10:03:AM Tiago si presenta: "Chiamatemi 'lavatrice' "
22 06 2007
In Francia mi chiamavano 'lavatrice' perchè ripulisco i palloni sporchi e li rielaboro in puliti. Un messaggio ai tifosi? Sono certo che lotteremo per lo scudetto"
--------------------------
Tiago basically says he can play behind or on the right of midfield. He sees himself as a classic number 8, even though he will play with number 30 at Juve. In France they call him a ''washing machine'' because he intercepts dirty balls and makes the play go on clean? ''A message to the fans? I'm sure we will fight for the scudetto''
Kinda odd he will wear number 30. Legrottaglie won't be amused! :p
italianstyle87 22-06-2007, 11:42:AM is tacchinardi any use for juve right now?
i think he could be very handy in this first season back
but i think there is no doubt juve will have a championship winning team on paper come season's start
Sorry man, but I dont think so. Currently on par with Fiorentina or there somewhere.
However, nobody really rated Man Utd for the EPL last season, so we never know!

inter and possibly milan are a step above juve right now, but after that....
i'm not saying juve are going to win the title first time up, i'm staying starting XI on paper, taking each player individually, it's good enough to match anyone
fiorentina were the third best team in serie a last season, so i'd class the third best team as a title contender (although this season toni will leave a gaping hole)
4ndr3i 22-06-2007, 12:31:PM Juve Chase €25 Million Mario Gomez
Juventus look set to go on a spending spree, and target number one appears to be Stuttgart’s Mario Gomez.
https://ad.yieldmanager.com/pixel?id=36773&t=2&data=101101The ‘Old Lady’ of Italian football is on the way up again after their return to Serie A. A €101 million windfall from the stock exchange means that Juventus will have plenty of cash to spend - more than they initially thought - as they try to plot their return to glory.
Top of their list of new players is a striker because of the imminent departure of David Trezeguet for either Lyon or Valencia. The Juve management have signed Iaquinta, but need one more striker, and have been keeping tabs on Stuttgart’s Mario Gomez for months.
The striker has a very good reputation in Italy and is seen as one of Giovanni Trapattoni’s discoveries. Proof of his popularity is demonstrated by the fact that a video-stream of his best goals is shown on the homepage of the sports paper ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’.
Italian fans may be getting a sneak preview of what is to come.
Gomez himself is defensive about the current rumours: “I am a player for VfB Stuttgart. I’ve said that often enough. My advisor deals with everything else."
Stuttgart manager Horst Heldt has been quoted in an Italian newspaper as joking “Gomez is staying with us- unless we got an offer of €25 million.”
Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli appears ready to offer Stuttgart exactly that price to get his man.
Manager Horst Heldt has responded by saying “I have heard of the rumours. But for us it is clear, we will not let Mario leave. It would send out the wrong signals to the rest of the team.”

mark77 22-06-2007, 02:03:PM denied.
anyway, we have some people in Spain to close to Milito deal...very close but if we lose out on him we're going for Garay, Pepe and Barzagli.

13m € for Tiago is great!!!
9m € for Almiron is ok but we'll lower it by loaning Giovinco and co-own Paro and Volpato probably.
Milan supposedly offered €17m but Tiago wanted first team football :(
Best Juve signing by far, so far.

mark77 22-06-2007, 07:12:PM Bettega's contract hasn't been renewed.
He did a lot for this transfer session and I really hope we get a good replacement.
Thanks Bobby! :rockman:
Juventino 22-06-2007, 10:59:PM Pfft, too bad it had to go like this. Let's hope they will just hire someone who knows how to run a club with good football knowledge. Not just a big name (like Tardelli).
Grazie Bettega
And now for the team... What are the standings on new defenders? This would be a pretty sweeettt line-up... I also like how there seems to be a good chance Trez will extend and stay.
Buffon
Grygera Barzagli Milito Chiellini
Zanetti
Tiago Almiron
Nedved
Trezeguet Del Piero
I put Barzagli in, but you might aswell move Grygera there and put Zebina in... I'm not so thrilled with the options currently on the market (besides Milito).
Filipower 23-06-2007, 12:20:AM isn't Trezeguet going away? if so it's Iaquinta in that place imo..
oh and i f*cking hope you guys don't take Pepe from us :(
Juventino 23-06-2007, 12:28:AM Latest on Trezeguet is that Juve offered him a new improved contract and he and his dad who was at the Juve headquarters seem to have accepted this one (if you believe the media). Just waiting for the signature...
italianstyle87 23-06-2007, 12:47:AM bettega is a big loss, the last of the triade
i'm sure juve will go ok without him though
Deisler 23-06-2007, 01:14:AM Without Bettega Juve will be a much more honest team. :D

Pavel Nedved go to retire.:( The Czech waits for the encounter with the Juventus before announcing its decision next week. If with they call it or they do not convince it, he may be back in his decision

djperthglory 23-06-2007, 09:38:AM guys after 1 whole year not being on these forums i have chosen to return
what a year
i was in macedonia tis time last year finding out juventus had been demoted... i cried my eyes out. i was on holiday. but it hurt me like my family had past away.
now after watching every one of their games, because rai asia shows serie b games only. most weeks they would show juve. it was great to watch the boys with strength and determinationa and passion to make it back.
i hope no one thinks i, pavle, have jumped ship. infact i have taken criticism and insult every damn day.. that is until as the juve shirts said Bast...A!!! thank god we are back... all of us should continuously be happy with the boys and support them all the time.... thats what makes us juventini....
on the new signings
tiago, almiron, iaquinta, grygera and others its really fantastic that they are value juventus sooo much. they look at juve as still the same professional team despite demotion last season. i wish juve luck next season for sure!!!
lets hope we can support the boys till scudetto 30, well scudetto 28 now!
majestic7 23-06-2007, 11:00:AM Tiago = quality player, quite underrated IMO Congratulations
JuventusForever 23-06-2007, 12:30:PM We already released Bojinov? On channel 4 it says we did, but no words on Bojinov on the official site.
mark77 23-06-2007, 01:58:PM welcome back pavle!
Bojinov was on loan and we decided not to buy half of his contract for a determined sum.
Juventino 25-06-2007, 06:19:PM When are we going to move on in a 2007/2008 thread?
I'm bored as hell, so if anyone doesn't mind, I'm volunteering to do it when the time arrives. :jap:

Juventino 25-06-2007, 11:55:PM Great news!!! :rockman:
In other breaking news, I made the new thread. It's a pretty quick version but I'll keep on updating it. Just waiting for the approval now. :p
