I think that after close to 8000 I should say something about the site and the good and bad times I spent here. I'll start by saying that without knowing what will happen to my dear Juventus(sounds like it will be serie B) is that no matter what happens I'll always be a Juventino for life and even after. I bleed black & white. People can say whatever they say about the old lady but I still find her attractive. Juventus to me is a passion that I can't describe. I cheered like crazy when they won the CL in 1996. I got up at 5 in the morning to listen to the Intercontinetal Cup that we won in 97. Juve made me happy and sometimes sad. That goes for every fan of any team.
I remember when I 1st came here, I wanted to add kits and stuff for my Fifa 97 and then I discovered the soccer forum. I met a lot of good people here and found out a lot about other teams and their supporters. I had a blast here and will continue so even if I won't post like a madman. It's time for old geysers like me to move on but it won't be easy. I'll go out gradually. :D
Thanks to all the guys here who made it fun to come here. I know I'll forget some of you and please forgive me.

To my fellow Juventini: IceBlu, Claupastore, Juventino, djperthglory, italianstyle87, Se7en, bianconeri6, JuevntusForever, nird, vitu, henry#14, jumbo, cyrex, JTNY, Rocky and ShAnDo.

cheers!

Thanks to all you non-Juve supporters also: Santino, Mikey, Pizarro14, Shevchenko-[7], Pede54, Rob, ForzaNerazzurri, modena_10, rony31,-Vince-, RUSI, Yossarian, Vinnie Jones, Virgo, Tom, TheBlueBalla, DraganT, Hakeem, AhmedK, ::shinji::, Grunger and the rest of you.

Your the definition of a true fan. I wish all the best to you Juventus fans and hopefully nothing serious happens to Juventus in the upcoming season.

it must be heartbreaking that the fans have to suffer through this.you can't pick up and leave like that pussy Capello does. With Juve distances from the scum Triade and after some justified years in lower divisions, hopefully they can bring themselves back up to a powerhouse team that has a reputation built on its own merits rather than gifted titles. I hate Juventus with a passion but for the sake of Calcio, pick yourselves back up in due time.

Take care Mark :rockman:

Ah, Mark...truly one of the best members around. You gave another example of that in the post above, everything came from the heart.
You see, there won't be many fans like you, at least not any soon, many would drop their favourite club in the situation Juve currently is in, though I don't think you ever thought of even following a different club other than la vecchia signora, and for that you deserve as much respect as you can get from us. You're truly a person anyone would be honoured to know or even talken to. Thanks Mark, thank you for everything.

Cheers Mark. You are a top poster and a top admin on this site, and that really speaks to the passion you have for a club. I am very sad to hear that you will be weening yourself off SG, but I can always hope that like Juve, you can return in all your former glory some day

Cheer up guys: the idiocy of Moggi will never taint what your club is because its about fans, players and history. Those things will live on forever, no matter where you are playing

I'm sorry I'm a little late with this question, but what matches in particular are Juve accused of fixing and how were they fixed???

mark77
07-07-2006, 08:28:PM
If you talk about certain games "fixed" meaning they bought the refs. NONE
If you talk about games with ref DeSantis we have a record of 2 wins 2 losses and 2 draws or something in the last 2 years and lost a Supercup because he dissalowed a good Trezeguet goal.
Moggi put us in deep sh*t for wanting "good" refs for certain games. No did he pay them? With all the millions of calls we don't see a glimpse of this so...
There's talk about Moggi wanting the refs to give out yellows to players that could miss the next game vs Juve but I don't remember any key players missing a game vs Juve. Maybe Flachi of Sampdoria, not sure.

EDIT: here's the supposed friend of Juve Mr.Desantis's stats in Juve games. He really did a bad job IF we bought him.

19.09.2004 Campionato Juventus-Atalanta 2-0 W
14.11.2004 Campionato Lecce-Juventus 0-1 W
06.01.2005 Campionato Parma-Juventus 1-1 L
05.02.2005 Campionato Palermo-Juventus 1-0 L
20.04.2005 Campionato Juventus-Inter 0-1 L
20.08.2005 Supercoppa Italiana Juventus-Inter 0-1 L (perfectly good goals by Trez dissalowed)
21.12.2005 Campionato Juventus-Siena 2-0 W
12.03.2006 Campionato Juventus-Milan 0-0 D
07.05.2006 Campionato Juventus-Palermo 2-1 W

4 wins 4 lost 1 draw

Thanks for your kind words guys! :rockman:

OK so Juve is in trouble because Moggi manipulated who reffed your matches. That's just retarded. With a team like Juve, this guy still feels that he needs an extra edge to win a game. Pathetic. I feel bad for the players and fans.

Moggi was stupid. He let the fame get to his head and thought he was God. Milan wanted him, Inter wanted him, people wanted him in politics....

you blaming Galliani for the whole thing..?

but it is true though, Galliani told Berlu that Moggi shouldnt work at Milan because apparently he was dirty..

There are IMO, rumours that a phone company that has shares in Inter supplied the phone taps.. haha.. blame Inter

mark77
08-07-2006, 12:19:AM
I heard that also, the thing with Galliani is that we all know about the Milan/Juve alliance right? Berlu wanted moggi, Galliani heard about it and felt that he would lose his job to Big Luciano and spilled the beans.

Again these are all rumors but it's good that it got out and they should ALL pay for it. Serie C, B or A-20pts.....

I wouldnt mind seeing something like this

MARCHIONNI ZANETTI GIANNICHEDDA

DEL PIERO

PALLADINO BOJINOV

yea i don't see chiellini staying if we're relegated he'll probably go viola.
masiello could step up tho.
i can't express how great it feels personally that magnificent players such as del piero and cannavaro are staying on for the haul, seriously though it would bring tears to my eyes.
if only i could watch the matches.
But what about abbiati though, we might be able to pry him away from milan.

i'm not scared if we go to serie b or c1, to me its simply the difference between 1 or 2 years, hell if napoli can do it then.....
plus we will invest in youth more and they can represent the "new guard" of the calcio. i always wished we did that rather than rely on experience.

the capello thing does not surprise me one bit, just look at the manner in which he came....

At least we'll get a younger and possibly better player in Bojinov.

Guys like Cannavaro, Zambro, and Buffon will most likely get loaned to some big name team for a season if Juve gets demoted to Serie B. But players like Trezeguet, Zlatan, Emerson, and other foreigners will get sold. Those guys cannot afford to stay with us and we can't afford their wages either. :( So if we ever make it back to Serie A (and we will!) Our core will still be there but it looks like we will have to start from zero, especially to get back to a scudetto winning team.

If you guys get relegated, I don't think you'll be able to hold onto the likes of Zambrotta and Buffon.
If you go down to Serie C, they would have to "wait" for you for a minimum of two years. And that's if you rocket your way back to Serie A.

I could be wrong, but I don't think players are that loyal.

If you're talking about loaning them out, then I think the bigger clubs in which your stars would agree to play in are not an option, as I think those clubs would prefer to buy them rather than loan them in just to accomodate Juventus.

I'm looking at it from my point of view. If Juve offered us for ex. Zlatan to have him for two seasons and then give him back, I wouldn't do it. Not just because of Eto'o, but because big teams have both aspiration and finances to build teams on their own, and they don't have to look for quick solutions like a loan. The winter window is an exception.

Bottom line, if you go down, I think you have to accept the fact that you'll lose most of your bigger names, apart from those who have already pledged their future to you. Plus, you are not very likely to play in Europe so you'll have financial deficits. Transfer income may come in handy.

I agree, I wont accept a loan for only a year or two. If we loan Zambro there better be a option to buy after the loan is done ( a cheap buy out clause aswell ). As for Canna due to his age I wont mind a loan for him as I think he is still a class defender but only for 2-3 more years. Emerson...fu*k him, not needed.

Not trying to be mean or harsh to you guys but loans like that wont happen, at least it better not happen because I for one will be pissed.

Mutu completes Viola move
Saturday 8 July, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adrian Mutu is officially a Fiorentina player, joined by Inter defender Alessandro Potenza and Udinese’s Michele Pazienza.

There had been talk for several weeks that the Juventus star was of interest to the Viola, reportedly in an exchange deal for Valeri Bojinov, but the move was completed this afternoon without the revelation of the financial details.

It is a permanent switch for Mutu, who was picked up on a free transfer by Juve last January following his sacking from Chelsea when he failed a routine drugs test.

It’s a reunion for the Romanian with Coach Cesare Prandelli, who really kick-started his Serie A career when they were together at Parma in 2002-03.

--------------------

So Mutu is gone... Bojinov 100% ours?

Mutu makes Viola move
By Nadia Carminati - Created on 9 Jul 2006

Adrian Mutu has left Juventus for Fiorentina with Valeri Bojinov going in the opposite direction.

Former Chelsea striker Mutu has been linked with a move to Fiorentina for some time after failing to establish himself at Juve.

Despite the threat of relegation hanging over both clubs because of the match-fixing scandal in Italy they have pushed through the swap deal.

Mutu has joined Fiorentina on a permanent basis, while Bojinov has moved to Turin on a season-long loan with the option of a permanent move.

The Viola have also announced the signings of Internazionale defender Alessandro Potenza and Udinese's Michele Pazienza as they complete their summer rebuilding programme.

Pazienza has signed on a season-long loan, while Potenza has arrived on a permanent basis.

Fiorentina's director general Pantaleo Corvino revealed the arrival of the trio were the last additions of the summer

"We worked to put together and to complete a really good team, who had already shown their value on the pitch last season," said Corvino.

"I can consider this job concluded with the arrival of a few important players in each line.

"I'm really satisfied with this job."

The Bojinov - Mutu is a good deal for us..
Bojinov has proved himself in the Viola squad and he could really build up to a top player with Juve, even if we do get relegated. Mutu was a good player but he never was really commited to the team.

Deschamps is the new coach

Didier Deschamps is the new coach of Juventus. The Frenchman today signed a contract that ties him to the club for the next two years. Deschamps' return is great news for the bianconeri, who witnessed the peak of his playing career during his five years with the club from 1994-1999. Didier played 178 times, scored four goals and won almost every conceivable trophy: 3 scudetti, a Champions League, an Intercontinental Cup, a European Supercup, a Coppa Italia and 3 Italian Supercups.

Deschamps has previously managed Monaco, from 2002 to september 2005, with whom he came second and third in the French league, and reached the final of the Champions League in 2004.

Didier will be ready to shine once again as he undertakes his next adventure, at the helm of the new Juventus.

Heard Juve actually might not get relegated, and just lose points...

I guess that way it's harder to get Miccoli on a free, but as Juve stays in Serie A, all their star attackers will stay also, considering you also got Bojinov, we can keep Miccoli for another year on a loan...

That's what i heard, don't know if it's true, can anyone confirm this?

Hmm, Bojinov, me likes. (Y) Just imagine if he scores like 20-30 goals if we go down, He'll instantly be legendary. It will give him a major confidence boost too.

Latest news is that they will not be relegated to C but to B-series with pointdeduction so that it won't take them two years to come back to the Serie A but one year, sources on tv confirm this.

IF Juve will be found guilty then it could be according to lawyers that they also bought referees in CL games like the finals in 1996 against Ajax and in this way we will get that title after all, Ajaxlawyers are already on it :p :ewan: and if not ah well we don't have it now anyway so nothing lost there..

I hope for your sake Juve stays in Serie A but the whole world is watching and they have to set some kind of example

if we do stay up we'll get a massive point deduction and most probably wont be able to win the scudetto.
in that respect and a couple others i think that trezeguet and ibrahimovic may be out the door.
hence we could really use miccoli, plus i think he'd want to come back now that capello rode out to pasture.

While we're at it, why not give out all our scudetti and cups? Even better, let all the clubs in Italy and the rest of the world participate in a BINGO or Texas Hold'em card tournament and the winners get a scudetto or a cup. To get a cup you need to spin the big wheel on The Price Is Right and if you land on 1.00$ you get a CL and if you land on a green section you get a Coppa Italia. The winner of the showcase showdown gets the Intercontinental Cup and a big vanfanculo from all Juventini around the world.

according to "La Stampa" the verdict is already decided. just not made official yet.

- Juventus get relegated to Serie B and starts the season with -15 points.
- Milan gets to stay in Serie A but starts the season with -9 points.
- Fiorentina and Lazio also gets to stay in Serie A. but starts the season with -15 points.

That would be a greater scandal than this one but the non-Juventini wouldn't care.
Sports fraud is sports fraud and it brings you down one division automatically.

If this is the decision watch out.

Juve could still appeal to the "Tar del Lazio" and get, let's say, serie A with -25pts.
The thing is that our new management don't care enough about Juve. They seem content with Serie B and selling our best players. You wanna know the reason why? Bring $$$ to FIAT.

I'm telling ya, if Juve is the only team relegated there will be havoc.

If Juve does get relegated I don't see the reason why the other teams who did the same thing should be able to stay in Serie A, like you said sports fraud is sports fraud and the teams are all getting charged with the same crime. And Milanistas don't come in here and give us the bull**** that "oh we were involved the least". Please I've had enough of it. You fixed matches, you should be in B according to the regular standards. Serie A -25 points for Juve wouldn't be bad, I'd like that, but they won't do it and UEFA and FIFA might get pissed and have to step in because they didn't set an example out of Juve and the rest.

Thats not much of a punishment... especially if Juventus is in Serie B
They'll walk away with the title..

If that happens Milan might actually have a shot at the title again for once.

No. You're trying to defend AC Milan, but you're doing it by defending Juventus because the easier the sentence is for them, the better off Milan is because your club wasn't that implicated so you will definitely get off easier. I don't think you want Juve in Serie A because you know that, if they are gone, Milan can take the title with ease. But you don't want to sound like a hypocrite and defend one club while accusing another so you defend them all even tho you know the chances of Juve staying in A are next to none. Nice.

messi54

If Juve is relegated, there should be an exodus of their top players and a lot of clubs are eyeing the talents. Players like Cannavaro and Buffon has already been targeted by Spanish clubs.
Main thing is the fans don't desert the club and they should be back in Serie A in no time.

I never for once stated like the others "oh I hope they get relegated so we can get X". Yeah of course Zambro and co are great players to have, but having them this way sucks. And what would I get by defending Juve to indirectly defend Milan? Does it influence the decision? Have you ever heard of winning againts the best? Would it be sweeter if a team beat Barca that played without Ronaldinho? In this case, people are gonna keep saying "oh Milan only won it because Juve arent in it". That takes away the pleasure of winning a title. Finally, yes, Juve may well get relegated and I know that. But sincerely, I hope they dont. Its not fair to the fans.

It's bad to lose Canna, but his time's up soon so that diminishes the pain a LITTLE. It's really gonna suck losing Zambrotta and Buffon. Damn, what a sad f*cking day:(:(:(:(

Bojinov is a good young player... sucks for the fans who had no part in this corupt business. i don't blame them of course, but pay juve should because of the jerk*** moggi... as much as i dislike juve, i love the rivalry between inter and milan... always good stuff to watch.

not trying to rub it in or anything, but realistically, what team do you expect to play?

heres my suggestion

Mirante

Balzaretti-Cannavaro-Legrottaglie-Chiellini

Marchionni-Zanetti-Kapo

Del Piero

Bojinov-Palladino

That team would finish in the top 5 in Serie A. If you are the kind that never becomes attached to players and wont miss them that much, this is really an exciting challenge. That squad, with the exception of Del Piero, Cannavaro and Zanetti, maybe has an average age of about 23-25.

I dind't think this was going to happen.. but i'ts here..
Today I feel more juventino than ever, it's painful sure, but Moggi is gone and we have a great team for Serie B, even Serie A. Even with a -30 point start we can make it back in 2 seasons, i'm sure of this.
The only thing that pisses me off is that Milan got away with it, but it's ok, i only worry for my team..

Think we'll be seeing a lot of Bojinov sigs this year =P

i'm not upset at players for leaving, they don't deserve to have 2 years of their careers taken away by moggi

del piero, and anyone else of a world class nature who stays will go down as legends in the eyes of everyone, if they already aren't

if the point reduction could be reduced, even to 20, just so relegation isn't such a factor, there is a really exciting challenge to look forward to

when juve win that next scudetto, it will be the sweetest f*cking victory of all

We still have other appeals to throw at their faces so we could get B with -10/15pts.

That would help us get back in A if we put up a good team.

as I see it you shouldn't really sell anyone until all the appeals have been made.

If the -30 points is confirmed you should sell Cannavaro, Vieira, Emerson and all the players that are 30ish but keep Buffon, Zambro, Ibra and others on loan.

You should look at building a young team that has time to gel in the Serie B and that will therefore be ready to challenge once it reaches the Serie A again.

It's clear that Cannavaro will leave Juve, together with Zambrotta and Emerson. Mijatovic will fly to Turin to talk with Juve, he wants all three for Real Madrid and I'm pretty sure they will go. Cannavaro will not play for two years in serie B I think and Capello is now in Madrid. What happens to sponsorcontracts, will Nike pull back or not? And Tamoil??
Inter is the laughing third here but if I were them I wouldn't be happy with the two scudettos they are about to receive cause they didn't earned them.
Juve earned it with football, the players didn't know what was going on. Moggi is the mastermind here, bribing, cheating, hell he even locked referees in their room so that they couldn't go to the game I heard that yesterday. Now that guy should get at least 10 years in the slammer for what he did to Juventus and Italian football :nape:

When he was at Monaco he played attacking football, kind of a 4-3-3 formation with Giuly as a AM-come-CF. He has a completely different team though, so he'll have to adapt. At Monaco he had a very strong left side (Evra/Rothen) and attack (Morientes/Giuly) so he tailored the tactics to suit them.

“I’m 100% sure I’ve made the right choice”

http://www.juventus.com/Allegati/f_Marchionni11571702b3fc1d6-55da-47eb-b97c-64fab7ec55b.jpg

Following his summer transfer from Parma, wizard of the wing Marco Marchionni is convinced he made the right decision: “Why Juve? Because this is a club that belongs at the top. If I wasn’t convinced this was the right place for me, I wouldn’t be here”. The young midfielder has a positive outlook on the season ahead: “Even if we do end up in Serie B with a 30 point penalty, I still believe we can achieve promotion in one season, potentially one of the greatest chapters in this club’s history, and I will do my best to make sure Juve get back on top. We will concentrate hard on winning every game and see what happens. No one is assured of a place in the starting line-up, there are a lot of great players at this club, but I think the presence of a player like Alessandro Del Piero, the symbol of this club, will be a great example to everyone”. And as for the appeal? “I’ve spoken to Didier and some of the other players, and although it’s hard to imagine a club like Juventus in Serie B, we’re all hoping that the situation will improve with the second phase of proceedings” The 25 year-old, who celebrates his birthday in six days time, also revealed he chose Juventus despite offers from a number of other big clubs: “When you get out there on the pitch, you’re concerned with only one thing, the football. I had the option of joining Fiorentina but Juve is Juve: this is the club everyone dreams of playing for. I have no regrets”.

Another loyal player on the growing list. Giorgio Chiellini:
Chiellini makes Juve pledge

Giorgio Chiellini has reacted to the news of Juventus’ relegation to Serie B by committing his future to the Bianconeri.

While a host of his more established colleagues are looking for a way out of Turin and the Second Division, the youngster is ready to stay.

“Every player will now base their decisions on what alternatives they have,” stated the full-back. “It will be important to keep as many players from last season’s squad as possible.

“I personally will be proud to stay and be a part of the serious project which has already been outlined.

“I haven’t asked to be sold and I’m actually negotiating a contract renewal until June 2009. Juventus are and remain a great club.”

The ambitious Chiellini is also confident that his decision to remain in the second tier of the game won’t harm his international prospects after breaking into the set-up under previous boss Marcello Lippi.

“Playing for Italy is a dream for any player,” he noted. “[New boss Roberto] Donadoni already knows me well and I believe I can be of use, even in Serie B.”

Chiellini will also be working under new Coach Didier Deschamps after the resignation of Fabio Capello.

“Every tactician leaves their mark on you and he [Capello] was my first boss at Juventus on the biggest stage in the game,” he added.

“He taught me that my comportment is as important off the pitch as it is on it. Now he’s gone to Real Madrid and I wish him the best.

“Deschamps? He’s left a good opening impression.”

that's all fine and dandy that the fans of these clubs stand behind their club 100% but for the players in those clubs is a whole another deal dude so be real.

for the younger players it could mean playing second division, and not playing Champion's league Football until they're past their prime......

for the older ones it could mean retiring on second division and with the class of players this clubs have, you gotta be real, they won't want to finish their playing days trying to make the cut to Serie A again.

again be real, I'm pretty sure that whatever Thuram said he was just being focused on the task at hand (the WC) and/or being pissed at whoever pulled that BS at Juve.

Hats off for Del Piero, Chiellini, and Marchionni...I understand Thuram, but he could have been more polite...I'm glad we got Kapo back...he's class and very promising...I was upset when we loaned him last season.

"This is the most important club in the world"

Valeri Bojinov spoke of his hopes for a big future with the Old Lady at this afternoon’s press conference: “Juventus belongs at the top and I will do everything in my power to see the team challenging for trophies again, in Italy and in Europe. Football is not an individual sport, it’s the team that’s always the winner. We have a great group of players here and we expect to win. The situation we’re in is by no means perfect but you can’t always have it all your own way. We’re all hoping the penalty will be reduced but make no mistake, we are prepared and, if we have to play in Serie B, we will do all we can to gain promotion as quickly as we can”. The young Bulgarian striker then spoke of what it means to him to play for the bianconeri: “As soon as I heard they wanted me I said yes; Juve is Juve. It’s an honour to wear this jersey and I will give my all for the club. I’m very happy to play for Juventus but I realise that if I’m to be successful here I need to play well; there’s still a lot for me to learn, I need to keep improving if I want a place in the team”.

Bojinov also revealed his admiration for Alessandro Del Piero: “I’m very excited about playing with Del Piero, he’s a true champion. He gives his all for the side and always comes up with the goods when his team needs him most. I know I can learn a lot from him as a player and a person, he’s a phenomenon, truly world-class”. For Valeri the recipe for success is simple: “We need to concentrate, use our heads and play to our strengths”. And helping him along the way will be new head coach Didier Deschamps: “He’s told us what he requires of his players - hard work, concentration and a professional approach both on and off the pitch. He told us to honour the jersey with results. As a player he never stopped running for his team and he has asked for the same work ethic from us”. And what does the Bulgarian youngster make of his hosts? “The Italian people have always made me feel at home, in Lecce, in Florence, everywhere. This is the greatest footballing nation in the world and I’d like to thank the people for making me feel like one of the family. I know that I have to play well and behave well to win over the fans but that’s exactly why I’m here and I hope my performances will demonstrate that”. And that goal in training? “I’m happy I scored, it was a good goal, but it means nothing”. He ended the conference on a similarly pragmatic note: “I could talk to you all day but it would mean nothing. It’s what you do on the pitch that counts: actions speak louder than words”

I agree. Of course he could have been molre polite but... I'm sure journalists can be a huge pain in the ass.
