what can i do . windows me says that the cd rom isnt valid . please insert the correct cd , and then press ok .. how do i fix it.?? it only happens in millenium . i tested in 98 , and it works perfectly .. please help me.

huh...who said with windows me ur game cannot start... huh..well my game still got in tune with my windows me.. and for your information... my fifa and windows me copy is the pirate one http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif...but it still ok with my comp...heemm maybe your computer full with bugs.. not the software..lol

I tried Windows ME and sold it off several weeks later.Too many gormless 'wizards' for my liking.

It could be that the CD Copy Protection software included on the FIFA 2001 is causing a problem... Why EA put it on the CD, I really don't know because it's no deterrant - it's just a hinderance!

The only thing I can think of is to get a no-CD crack to make the game work, or get a Safe-Disc cracker, which encrypts the *.ICD file in the directory and makes it a working *.EXE

One thing to add to my last post - there are currently no No-CD cracks for the latest update yet, so use an older crack. It seems as if EA haven't improved anything with the latest update...

One good thing with the no-CD cracks is that the game loads straight away without having to wait for the splashscreen that Safe-Disc generates...

Lexitt: I don't know, but do you have the original copy from the EA (the store bought version)? If you do have it then I suggest calling tech support. I called tech support for my problems and they fixed it. Make sure you speak to a Service Rep.

I also have WindowsMe but my FIFA works just fine. I agree with Mayatsan, you probably have some bugs on your computer.

I suggest call Tech Support at EA. If you need the number then e-mail me at Shamir@soccergaming.com and I will reply with the number.

In all cases, EA will try and figure out some trends in your problem with other similar problems and make a nice patch to correct it. Sorry, its a bit late, but I thought I could lend you a hand.

I have a similar problem and it is solved by a crack file. Does anyone want it? I can email to you but before you try it at your own risk, ensure to backup all the related original files.

i also have problems with my icd file too but i dunno what the hell to do. the best thing to do is screw it and tell ea to suck your d.. oops my bad

The problem may be caused because I had the warez version installed before I installed the original version.
