Podolski had one good 12 minute spell when he put away 2 chances laid on a plate for him. And also one good finish in the Ecuador game and apart from that he done jack all just drifted out of game.

But yeah I guess Ronaldos antics may have cost him but I dont think Podolski deserved to win it on a whole as I thought it was more his team carrying him where as the likes of Ronaldo and Valencia were carrying there teams to a degree.

Podolski sucked when it most mattered for Germany (apart from the penalty he got vs Argentina). But C. Ronaldo was (rightly) dumped from selection because of his ongoing tantrums and diving shenanigans.
