I am pleased to see that the U.S. hasn't sunk to the depths plumbed by Mexico and other dive and hack happy CONCACAF nations.

seriously who cares diving is just part of the game and it's the referee's job to look carefully if a player was actually fouled or just dived.

That's what happens when kicked in the groin, kicked on the shin, and sorts. Very real pain, but it lets off and has no effect on play except minor limping/weird facial expressions.

I would've thought more points ought to be given for red & yellow cards. Well diving and 'faking' might be widely accepted in many Latin speaking countries for eg. But its generally shunned in most English speaking countries and other places like Scandinavia. It depends on the football culture i guess. Australia keep getting criticised for being a very physical and aggressive team, but in a country where much more violent contact sports like rugby are played most people don't see anything wrong with it.

I'm glad you enjoyed the US not diving... hope you enjoyed it as much as not getting out of the group. (Y) Not to worry though, the US is still set to win the 2010 World Cup right?
