Am mai recuperat un punct. E bine. Suntem la 12 de caini acum. Ne simt rasuflarea in ceafa. Norocul lor ca numai arbitrii au putut opri iuresul stelist de la Oradea: cele 5-6 ocazii uriase parate de portarul advers (au fost atat de multe ca nu-mi aduc aminte decat cele 2 faze fixe...) stau marturie. In orice caz, Dinamo fii pe faza ca venim!

Nu-l voi mai critica pe antrenorul Stelei, deoarece n-as vrea sa se creada ca stiu numai una si buna.

In schimb, mi-am propus sa fac o analiza a celor trei antrenori de pe banca Stelei de dupa Piturca. Criteriile dupa care voi judeca rezultatele vor fi: rezultatele in campionat, rezultatele europene, sustinerea patronului, libertatea de decizie in privinta transferurilor, lotul de jucatori.

Incepem. Primul pe lista, Walter Zenga. Italian, fara mare experienta in spate ca antrenor, trecut glorios ca jucator. Capitan al lui Inter Milano. A fost privit cu neincredere de suporteri, din cauza lipsei de experienta ca antrenor. A mostenit echipa lui Victor Piturca (in randurile careia se aflau cu onoare: Aliuta, Falemi, Pitu, Dinita, Rachita, Fl. Dumitru, Cristea, Balan, Litu, Simion). A cerut insistent un atacant de careu. Rezultate interne: a lasat echipa pe primul loc cu trei etape inainte de final. Mai avea de jucat cu prietenii de la Bacau, Poli si candidata la retrogradare FC Brasov. In Europa, desi echipa sa NU beneficia de expererienta europeana, a reusit sa califice Steaua in primavara europeana dupa 12 ani. A eliminat detinatoarea trofeului dupa un meci memorabil la Bucuresti. A fost eliminat de proxima semi-finalista a Ligii Campionilor, Villareal. Sustinerea patronului: ZERO. A antrenat fara contract, patronul injosindu-l in repetate randuri, cel mai flagrant fiind atunci cand a spus ca-l prefera oricand pe geniul Florentin Dumitru in dauna sa ... A cerut DOAR UN JUCATOR ( atacantul de careu ), i s-a adus cea mai ieftina varianta posibila, Cristi Ciocoiu, care la acel moment se lasase de fotbal ... I-a mai dorit pe Mitrovic, Caramarin si Dimitrov, conducerea i l-a adus pe Goian.

Concluzie: Avand in vedere presiunea sub care a lucrat si lotul de jucatori, cred ca ceea ce a realizat la Steaua a fost o minune. Cel putin in Europa. Cred ca daca il avea pe Thereau si Cristocea, defilam acum in Divizia A si nu numai.

Cel mai bun 11 a fost: Hamutovsky - Ogararu, Ghionea, Radoi, Marin - Dumitru, Paraschiv, Dorinel - Dica, Neaga, Cristea.

Al doilea pe lista este Oleg Protasov. Ucrainean. Trecut de mare jucator. A mostenit echipa lui Zenga. Echipa deja incepuse sa aiba o experienta europeana. In campionat a lasat echipa pe 2 la 1 punct de lider la jumatatea sezonului. In Europa a continuat ceea ce incepuse precedesorul sau, calificand si el echipa in primavara europeana. Fara infrangere. Multi spun ca la Genova, Steaua a facut cel mai bun joc al sau in deplasare din ultimii 10 ani in Europa. Din pacate, a ratat calificarea in Liga, dupa un meci in care Steaua a avut cel putin 10 (zece) ocazii clare de a marca la Bucuresti si dupa un retur in care Mirel Radoi a facut cel mai slab joc al sau la Steaua. Patronul l-a sustinut prin absenta, necriticandu-l dar nici laudandu-l. Nu a incercat nimic pentru a-l opri sa plece de la echipa. In privinta transferurilor, ucraineanul a lucrat cu ce era acolo, nedorind pe nimeni. La jucatorii mosteniti de la Walter s-au adaugat Nicolita, Iacob, dar i-a pierdut pe Dorinel si Neaga.

Concluzie: A continuat pe linia lui Zenga, dand jocului Stelei mai multa VITEZA si FANTEZIE, acest lucru fiind posibil si prin plecarea lui Dorinel, care nu mai putea juca in acest ritm. A fost iubit de fani, pentru ca indiferent de rezultat, Steaua DOMINA adversarul.

Cel mai bun 11: Hamutovsky - Ogararu , Ghionea , D. Goian , Nesu - Nicolita , Radoi , Paraschiv , Bostina - Iacob , N. Dica.

Ultimul este Cosmin Olaroiu. Roman. A primit cadou echipa de la Oleg Protasov, calificata deja in primavara fara infrangere. In campionat a reusit sa castige campionatul la 5 puncte de urmatoarea clasata, in conditiile in care n-a reusit sa bata nici o echipa rivala. In Cupele Europene a eliminat pe Heerenveen, Betis si Rapid, fiind eliminat in semifinale dupa un joc catastrofal la Boro. Patronul Stelei a declarat nu o data despre el ca va fi cel mai mare antrenor roman din istorie si ca va ramane la Steaua pe viata. In acest sens, Olaroiu a primit toti jucatorii doriti: Carlos, Petre, Coman, Saban, Thereau, Croitoru, Andrey, Stancu, Badea, Panait, Cristocea. Cu exceptia lui Carlos, a terminat primul sau sezon, cu aceeasi echipa cu care-l si incepuse. In sezonul al doilea, momentan se afla la 12 puncte in spatele liderului, cu un meci in plus. In cupele europene, s-a calificat in Liga, eliminand chinuit pe Standard Liege, dupa ce in tur am egalat printr-o centrare a lui Petre Marin, iar in retur la 2-1 pentru noi, ne-am aparat continuu. In aceasta competitie a invins la Kiev o echipa care a tras 13 suturi la poarta Stelei si a marcat 1 gol, in timp ce Steaua a marcat 4 goluri din 4 suturi. Am pierdut lamentabil cu Real si Lyon acasa. In deplasare am reusit un egal cu Lyonul deja calificat si am pierdut cu 1-0 la Madrid. Meciul decisiv cu Dinamo Kiev s-a terminat 1-1, doar pentru ca arbitrii au anulat doua goluri ( oare unde am mai auzit asta? ) oaspetilor si Dica a marcat cu un sut deviat. In UEFA a fost eliminat de Sevilla, fara macar sa marcheze, cu o dubla infrangere. Patronul declara in continuare ca este pe viata la Steaua.

Concluzie: Intr-un an si jumatate, Olaroiu a adus CEI MAI MULTI JUCATORI, a fost cel mai sustinut antrenor de catre patroni, a mostenit cea mai buna echipa , a avut cea mai mare liniste.

In unicul sezon pe care l-a gestionat SINGUR, fara alti antrenori, Steaua a avut un numar record de accidentari grave, se afla la 12 puncte de lider, a suferit cea mai timpurie eliminare din Europa din cele 3 campanii, a reusit doar 2 victorii in Europa (preliminariile nu conteaza).

A transformat jocul echipei intr-unul "liniar, fara imaginatie" - Emeric Ienei. Echipa are maxim 2 ocazii pe meci, din faze fixe. Da mereu senzatia ca se apara.

Cel mai bun 11: Cernea/Carlos - Stancu, Ghionea, Goian, Marin/Coman - Nicolita, Petre/Paraschiv, Radoi, Cristocea/Bostina - Thereau/Badea, Dica.

Judecati si voi. Asta e situatia. Semneaza, un loser,

Great player, best attacking prospect to come out of Corinthians since the days of Ewerthon to Borussia Dortmund. Very short though. 158 cm, I guess.

wow, coming from you (a guy who actually lives in Brazil) this is the best news we've had all season (other than making the CL). I hope he pans out. What are his strenghts/weaknesses?

Elton's very quick, passes the ball decently and has a nice football brain. He can hold the ball a bit too much, though, and he's not strong enough.

He can score a few and is a decent dribbler, though I don't know Romanian football enough to make a prediction about his future.

I did watch him live when he was in the U-20s, and he did great there, never seemed out of the match, and most plays went through him.

Sorry, but I don't have highlights...

Sounts like the player we've been missing in midfield. A guy with creativity who can control the midfield and who needs to get the ball on every play in order for the attack to flow. Our midfield needs a player like that very bad, it's the area where we have been lacking. If he can hold the ball, make some nice passes to put or forwards in scoring positions, score a few then he will be a success in Romanian football.

Please make it happen. ProSport are saying that an agreement between Steaua and Corinthians has been reached, with a price around $800k.
He is expected to come soon for his medical visit.

Oh and from that video it looks like he'd make a fool outta most of the defenders in Liga 1. Young, fast and pretty smart... perfect for us.

We have the most expensive/talented/experienced roster in the Liga I and this f*cking idiot is making them play like a bunch of retards. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS AND THEY CAN'T STRING TWO PASSES TOGETHER IN MIDFIELD!!!!!

It also pisses me off how after every loss/draw they all jump on the "let's blame anybody but ourselves" bandwagon which is just poor team spirit and poor psychological mindset. Also, if let's say we lose a game and we lose it bad then the players start saying how "it's the best we could do" and "they were just much better, there was nothing we could do" like they did after the Real and Lyon matches. They just beat themselves down and nobody seems to have told these guys that that is not the way an athelete should think. It makes me puke listening to our players interview, they say the most retarted things. For example, Goian was asked before the Otelul match who he would prefer a final agains Rapid or Poli. He sat there for what seemed like an hour and then he spoke this jewel: "uhh, I don't care which one we play as long as we are there" yeah that's brilliant man, let's not even mention the opponent that you're playing in 12 hours who kicked your ass in the leauge, yeah, why not just completely over look them so we can get our ass kicked again :kader:

I'm so f*cking pissed, I want a western coach who can teach these poor bastards how to think, what mindset to have before he can teach them play.

"meh" cause we just can't do anything about it, no one is hearing us and it's been a good while since a change is needed. it's like everyone who is something at Steaua isn't watching the games, and keep telling that it was just a bad day, that things will get better and that the season isn't over yet. yes I'm tired of it too and we know it's not going to end here.

Miercuri, Steaua l-a prezentat oficial pe ultimul venit in familia ros-albastra, urmand modelul marilor cluburi ale lumii.

Mai intai, Elton Xavier Gomes a venit in sala de conferinte insotit de managerul general al Stelei, Mihai Stoica, de antrenorul principal, Cosmin Olaroiu si de managerul sau, Alex Duarte.

Mijlocasul brazilian a semnat un contract cu Steaua pana pe 30 iunie 2010.

"Sunt foarte fericit ca ma aflu la Steaua si doresc sa arat pe teren ceea ce stiu. Voi munci mult pentru a-mi castiga postul de titular si vreau sa scriu istorie la Steaua, sa castig multe meciuri si trofee. Ma voi pune imediat in slujba echipei. Am fost primit excelent de catre colegi, iar toti oamenii de la club m-au facut sa ma simt iubit si apreciat. Tin sa le multumesc tuturor pentru acest lucru. Am evoluat in cateva partide in echipa nationala Under 17 a Braziliei si, ca orice jucator, sper sa evoluez intr-o buna zi pentru echipa nationala a tarii mele. Dar pana atunci, ma voi concentra asupra muncii mele de la Steaua. Am avut si alte oferte din Turcia, din Ucraina, dar am ales Steaua. Ce m-a determinat sa vin la Steaua? Faptul ca MM a venit in Brazilia si a vorbit cu mine despre aceasta echipa si despre intentiile sale mi-a dat foarte mare incredere. Abia astept sa arat suporterilor Stelei de ce sunt in stare", a declarat Elton.

Brazilianul va purta pe tricou numarul 86, acesta fiind anul nasterii sale, dar si pentru ca acest an inseamna enorm pentru suporterii Stelei, anul in care a fost castigate Cupa Campionilor Europeni.

Elton a mers dupa conferinta la vestiare, unde s-a imbracat cu echipamentul de joc al Stelei si a venit pe gazonul Stadionului Steaua pentru o scurta sesiune de fotgrafii.

El a jonglat timp de doua minute cu mingea in fata camerelor de luat vederi, aratand de ce jucatorii brazilieni au atat de multa cautare in lume.

Managerul general al Stelei, Mihai Stoica, a tinut sa precizeze din start ca orice incercare a presei de a crea un conflict intre selectionerul echipei nationale a Romaniei si Steaua este sortita esecului: "Selectionerul Victor Piturca nu a atacat Steaua cand a facut acele declaratii. Acest jucator nu a fost adus pe baza unui DVD. Elton a fost semnalat de cel mai bun scouter al nostru. Niciodata nu mi-am dorit un jucator atat de mult. Sunt bucuros ca un jucator important, de la o echipa foarte importanta din America de Sud a ales sa vina la Steaua. Nu suntem foarte conectati la fotbalul brazilian, dar sa nu uitam ca echipa de la care vine Elton este a doua in Brazilia. Am postat filmuletul pe site pentru a evita comentariile discriminatorii. Sper ca indivizii care au facut aceste comentarii o sa lase privirea in jos. Observ o campanie de presa in ultima vreme impotriva Stelei. Ma refer la ProSport, Libertatea, ProTV si Prima TV. Inventati minciuni sfruntate. Va rog din suflet sa nu mai mintiti. Comparatia lui Elton cu fanionul de la colt este inadmisibila. Va dati de gol ca va stam in gat. Toti suporterii Stelei sunt alaturi de noi. Suntem aroganti pentru ca avem cu ce sa ne mândrim: Am facut performante in Europa unice in Romania si voi continua sa repet acest lucru de fiaecare data cand voi avea ocazia".

Antrenorul Stelei, Cosmin Olaroiu, a vorbit si el despre calitatile care l-au recomandat pe brazilianul Elton la Steaua: "In Romania cei care nu fac nimic isi dau cu parerea si emit fel de fel de prostii. Elton este un jucator care compenseaza prin inteligenta si mobilitate handicapul de inaltime pe care il are. Elton este un jucator de exceptie. Ni l-am dorit foarte mult. Un punct important este faptul ca acesti oameni care vor veni la stadion vor veni si pentru Elton, pentru ca poate sa ofere un spectacol, pe care putini jucatori din fotbalul romanesc il pot oferi. Veti vedea ca este un jucator de o calitate tehnica formidabila. Noi aveam nevoie de fantezie si mobilitate in jocul nostrum, iar el va fi un plus in jocul nostru. Veti vedea ca suporterii il vor adopta foarte usor. Sper sa il inlocuiasca cu succes pe Dica, iar cat de curand ne dorim sa ii vedem pe ambii evoluand impreuna. Am adus jucatori buni. Nu toti jucatorii reusesc sa confirme. Depinde foarte mult de ei. Sunt convins ca majoritatea jucatorilor care au venit la Steaua si-au facut treaba. Chiar si Carlos, asa hulit cum a fost el. Cu el am jucat in semifinalele Cupei UEFA, cu el ne-am calificat in grupele Ligii Campionilor, cu el am castigat titlul. Asteptati să-l vedeti pe Elton si pe urma discutam".

I'm not sure Elton will play against Farul, as far as I know he's coming back from an injury and hasn't played the last 2 or 3 games for Corinthians. Would really like to see him though. :p Would also like to see Iacob or Badea (aka Cristea#2) get a goal.

How many get a UEFA Cup "ticket" in Romania?

I think it goes something like this:

1st place: 3rd Qualifying Round CL/CL Groups (depending on who wins the CL this year)
2nd place: 2nd Qualifying Round CL
Cup Winner: 1st Round UEFA Cup
3rd place: 2nd Qualifying Round UEFA Cup/1st Round UEFA Cup
4th place: 2nd Qualifying Round UEFA Cup/nothing

3rd and 4th place all depend on who wins the Cup.

If Steaua don't finish in 2nd place by the end of this season then I will consider this season to be the worst we've had in a long long time. I don't care that we made the CL groups, we didn't do anything once we were there and then we got embarassed in the UEFA Cup. We have head to head matches coming up against Rapid and Cluj (the two teams ahead of us at the moment) so our destiniy is dependant solely on us. We just have to start playing better, the players need some confidence.

I also noticed that again, we started lobbing balls up front to our strikers, hoping for chances, but again that proved to be not working....

I just hope that Elton adapts very quickly so we can start controlling at the midfield again and build our attack from there, instead of these long balls....

And yeah, the thing that pisses me off the most is that we could have been so close to Dinamo right now....

We HAVE to beat Rapid. I feel that if we go in there and get a win it will jumptstart us for the rest of the season. Remember we haven't won an away game since the FC Arges match which seems like 50 years ago. Goian and Radoi looked excellent for Romania so I'm not worried about them. I hope Olaroiu decides to start Petre Marin on the left. I miss the sense of security that he gives us when he's defending that flank, I just don't get the same feeling from Nesu and Coman (he's injured yey :clapwap: ). Therea, Iacob, Badea, Croitoru, Bostina, Cristocea, Nicolita and last but not least Elton are all fit! Oli has a deck to choose from, let's hope he makes the right combination. Thereau acuză în continuare dureri mari la degetul fisurat în derby-ul cu Rapid şi şansele lui de a fi recuperat sînt minime. Francezul Cyril Thereau nu s-a antrenat nici ieri şi şansele lui de a fi prezent pe teren împotriva lui Dinamo au scăzut dramatic. El acuză dureri mari la degetul mic de la unul dintre picioare, acolo unde a suferit o fisură în timpul meciului cu Rapid. Cel mai vechi medic care lucrează în fotbalul românesc, Teofil Bora, de la FCM Bacău, a explicat ieri: "Este aproape imposibil ca un jucător să poată evolua la doar 6 zile după ce a suferit o fisură de metatarsian. Durerile sînt insuportabile".
Şi un alt medic foarte cunoscut şi apreciat în fotbalul românesc a spus că Thereau n-ar putea juca sîmbătă, deoarece fisura este la metatarsianul numărul 1. "De regulă, atunci cînd apar fisuri la metatarsianul 1 sau 5, deci la cele din exterior, este exclus să poţi juca după doar o săptămînă. Dacă s-ar fi lovit la degetul 2, 3 sau 4, ar fi avut şanse. În plus, în caz de recidivă ar risca o accidentare de durată", a spus medicul respectiv.

Şi ieri, Rădoi a continuat tratamentul la glezna stîngă, unde a suferit o entorsă în prima repriză a partidei cu Rapid. "Face eforturi disperate să poată juca. Norocul lui a fost că entorsa n-a fost gravă, este de gradul 1, este cea mai uşoară formă a acestei accidentări", a declarat ieri unul dintre şefii Stelei. "Ţine neapărat să joace şi pentru că Oli se află într-o situaţie ingrată, din apărare lipsind Goian, Ghionea, Stancu şi Ovidiu Petre", a adăugat oficialul campioanei.

We played well for the first 10 minutes (Munteanu's goal was just a stroke of genius, can't do anything about that) then we decided to go to our s*itty "let's play the ball over the top to one striker against 4 defenders" tactic, Oli's specialty, and in 20 minutes javrele were up 3-0, IN OUR F*CKING STADIUM! Then we picked it up again the last 10 minutes. Steaua played well for 20 minutes the other 25 they were completely outclassed and looked like a Liga II team out there. Unless we f*cking tie this game up then I expect Becali will do the right thing and finally fire Oli's ass, I'm tired of this s*it. No coach that let's his team be embarrased like this in Ghencea deserves to stay. End of story.

PS: Andrey is s*it. This is the first full match I've gotten the chance to see him play and he just plain sucks.

You're seeing things if you think luck is the major reason why we're getting our asses raped. Rednic basically pulled Olaroiu's pants down tonight. This game reminds me of Dynamo Kyev - Steaua except we are playing the role of Dynamo Kyev. We've had at least 15 shots and probably around 7 on goal but two posts and then Radoi's mistake :nape:

Starting with Lovin was the stupidest thing Olaroiu could have done. wow, we just scored so that means we won the second half 2-1 (after Lovin was out and we were no longer playing with two DMs). Oli just doens't get it, NOBODY uses two DMs anymore.

I can't believe i paid 8 euros to watch this s*it.

Well game over, 2-4.

- we could have got at least a draw if all our players would have been fit (= no Nicolita and no Lovin)
- Radoi's mistake was decisive
- a Dinamo without Lobont would have been crashed in Ghencea
- Elton is God
- Thereau is Allah
- Radoi will definetly leave if we don't grab the 2nd spot (which we won't)
- we probably won't be seeing Cristocea til next season since he usually misses about 2 or 3 months for each injury.

I think Steaua will get the second place, for obvious reasons- they're the better team, and also got easier schedule, as far as i see it in the net.. Cluj and Rapid have games against all other strong teams, including against each other, and Steaua has a domestic game versus Cluj, that they should take. So, i think it's not as scary as it looks like at the moment..

I want to believe that but the way we are playing right now and all the injuries and suspensions we've been having we can't afford any more mistakes.

Ştirea că Daniel Opriţa a semnat cu Dinamo un contract pe 4 sezoane a luat prin surprindere pe toată lumea. Nu atît pentru că plecarea unui jucător direct de la Steaua la Dinamo, sau invers, e destul de puţin întîlnită, cît pentru că informaţia a fost făcută publică acum, cu destule etape înaintea finalului, tocmai cînd Opriţa revenise la antrenamente după grava accidentare din decembrie.

Această tranzacţie este, după mine, un pas înainte pentru fotbalul nostru. Nu e nimic incorect, pentru că Opriţa era în ultimele 6 luni de contract şi putea semna liniştit pentru oricine. A ales Dinamo, a fost opţiunea lui, să fie sănătos. Altceva mă întreb eu. Va mai fi el primit la antrenamentele primei echipe a Stelei? Va avea Olăroiu curaj să-l şi folosească? Nu acum, evident, pentru că e încă în convalescenţă, ci spre finalul campionatului, cînd va fi recuperat. Tare mă tem că nu. Civilizaţia în România e mult prea departe de cea occidentală, unde un Ayala, de exemplu, joacă meci de meci la Valencia, deşi a anunţat de cîteva luni că va pleca la Villarreal. Nimeni nu-i pune la îndoială profesionalismul, nimeni nu-l tratează ca pe un trădător.

Observaţi, inca n-am amintit nimic de suporteri. Pentru cei ai Stelei, e clar că Opriţa asta este, un trădător. Deşi omul n-are nici o vină că nimeni de la Steaua nu şi-a pus problema că el termină contractul şi ar putea ajunge la marea rivală. Ce să facă pînă la urmă şi Opriţa? Să stea şi să joace gratis, doar pentru fani? Sau să refuze oferta lui Dinamo, aşteptînd ca steliştii să termine voiajele braziliene şi să-şi amintească de el? Înainte să-l înjuraţi, puneţi-vă în situaţia lui!

N-am terminat. Dacă reacţia steliştilor o accept pînă la un punct, pe cea a dinamoviştilor n-o înţeleg. În Spania, ca Barcelona să ia un jucător de la Real e cea mai mare satisfacţie pentru fani. La fel în Italia, cu Inter sau Milan. Cînd Milan l-a luat pe Vieri, care mai mult stătea decît juca, ba mai şi cîştiga milioane de euro pentru asta, milanezii au fost încîntaţi. Furaseră o piesă rivalilor. Ei bine, observ că suporterii dinamovişti nu par deloc încîntaţi de mutare. O consideră o glumă proastă, promit că-i vor face zile fripte fotbalistului etc. Şi nu pricep de ce. Pînă una-alta, Opriţa nu e chiar un jucător oarecare, a dat destule goluri pentru Steaua, le-a adus inclusiv Supercupa. A fost accidentat, corect, dar în acelaşi timp a venit gratis. Dacă nu va corespunde, pierderea va fi minimă. Vranjkovici a fost luat cu o căruţă de bani şi a dispărut. Ze Kalanga, la fel. Ce e mai bine

P.S. N-o să cad în capcana celor care îl aplaudă pe Gigi Becali pentru că a renunţat la serviciile avocatului Radu Enache, pe motiv că acesta îl apără pe celebrul deja “Tweety”. Gestul e populist pînă la extrem. N-a contat că Enache l-a ajutat poate pe Becali în diverse speţe, a contat doar imaginea de om foarte corect pe care acesta şi-a creat-o prin respectiva decizie. Nici nu-l critic pe avocat pentru că l-a învăţat pe “ultras” să susţină că e nevinovat ori l-a îndemnat să spună chestiile alea hazlii, cum că l-a lovit pe cameraman cu o zgardă. E strategia lui de apărare, e meseria lui, una infamă ce-i drept, aşa a gîndit el că-şi poate “rezolva” clientul. Eu o să-mi pun doar o întrebare: cum naiba, din sutele de avocaţi ce pledează în ţara asta, acest “Tweety” s-a orientat exact către Radu Enache, un apropiat al clubului Steaua? Asta în timp ce conducerea se tot dezice de manifestările unei anumite părţi a galeriei.

I wish Oli would start Cernea instead of Andrey who has been scored on like 11 times in 7 matches or something like that (and you can't blame them all on the defense either). I have my doubts about that line-up you used too. Would it surprise you to see two DMs once again and Coman somehow starting :nape:?

Maybe we could get Zenga back, or some other foreign coach. Olaroiu's ego is so big that he didn't play Croitoru at all, since Becali transferred him without talking to either Oli or MM. :rolleyes: And that's just an example.

If Olaroiu doesn't leave us after this match (which is likely) he better watch out next time he comes in Ghencea because it won't be pretty. Everything he achieved last season was from the work of Zenga and Protasov, once he started to instill his 'style' into the team it was all over for us. I see us finishing in the 5-8 range and I'm not even kidding.

Really good read, that guy couldn't be more right. It's amazing to me that a man like Olaroiu who is proving every day that he has no idea how to manage a team, could end up at the helm of the biggest club in Romania and one of the best in all of Eastern Europe. If he decides to stay maybe it will be for the best. Becali will surely get rid of him at the end of the season along with MM who said that if Olaroiu leaves he will go with him. Then maybe he can hire a real manager however if we end up with Hagi I don't see any better results next season. We'll see, as it stands this is the worst season Steaua has had in my lifetime :(:kader::nape: (N)

To be honest, I'd want Oli to be fired right now rather than in the the summer, it would mean more time for the new coach to get used to the players and the other way round, the players to get used to him. At least that's how I see it.

Yeah but what if a new manager comes in and doesn't get results? Then he gets fired at season's end and another manager comes along and you have a situation where the players have to play for 3 different managers in a span of less than 3-4 months maybe? We're not dinamo....

I'm just praying that somehow, someway this wreckage of a season will get turned around but not enough to where Olaroiu will keep his job (if that makes any sense). Let's say we finish 3rd and lose in the cup final. That would give us an UEFA Cup spot in the 1st round but losing the cup final and not getting the 2nd spot for CL would be enough to get Oli fired I think. God I can't believe we've come to this, and things were so shiny at the start of the season :(

All the fans see them but their voice is not big enough. Idiots like MM like to pay attention to what the media is saying and he always gets in stupid unecessary 'fights' which only cause the club trouble. He's another sour spot that needs to go.

I think Oli will be gone in the summer no matter what, and plus, he said that if we don't beat Poli he'll resign. I can def. see us going to the final and loosing to Rapid. Anyways, this season will be considered a big bust if we don't get 2nd. Our chances are so small but it's still possible. I like what's being done in Cluj, but it's really pointless for them to finish 2nd because at the most they'll get into the UEFA Cup.
And what do you guys think about Andrey? I think so far this guy is a bust, I haven't seen him play a great game yet. Cernea's way above him from what I've seen so far.

Cernea is WAY better. I have no idea why MM insisted on bringing a foreing goalkeeper. I'm sure if you look hard enough you will find some great young goalies in Romania but instead he buys an overrated Brazilian guy who doesn't know how to catch the ball. At least he's a nice guy so I give him that over Carlos.

I really hope Thereau stays, he is a class above our other strikers. Do you think he would of missed those chances that Iacob and Badea wasted this past weekend? Exactly.

Well you know that he himself stated that he'd move to a bigger club if given the opportunity, and I can't really blame him. Would love to see him stay though, best striker in Romania imo, next season he can even go for the top goalscorer spot.

Yeah him and Radoi will probably want to leave so they can get a chance to play in the CL. That's why it's so important that we get 2nd spot this season but we've f*cked ourselves in the ass pretty bad.

Becali probably doesn't even remember he was a Steaua player before this injury. He was never really one of my favorites but he got the job done. The fact that he has Baciu, Lovin and Coman on the list though makes the decision a bit more credible. Cernea though :(

This record proves that he is a mediocre manager. In the two month break the players pretty much forgot everything that they had learned from Zenga/Protasov and were trained solely in Oli's "system" and look at the results. He is a bad tactical coach and horrible when it comes to the psychology of the team and the mental attitude of the players.

Well Thereau will be back, possibly Ghionea too and Elton will be starting since he was a sub last night. Really don't know what to say, we played really good against Poli Iasi, created chances and controlled the game.

Croitoru and Nesu (Y) Apparently Neaga is set for a Steaua come-back, what do you think? If Iacob will really go, then I'd like Neaga to return, even though he's 28 or so. Though now we've got the best striker in Romania and he's on fire! (H)

I didn't see the match so I'll trust you with those comments even though the media said we didn't convince but then again all they want to do is stirr up crap so I'm not surprised.

It's not the players that I'm worried about, it's the tactics that Oli uses that disadvantages the players and puts us in a bad spot. Afterall these are the same players and some more that Oleg/Zenga had. I think we have really missed Ghionea-Goian pairing in the center of defense. Radoi isn't as influential playing as a CB and Baciu is just a tragedy right now.

Neaga? Hell yes I love the guy! How is he doing right now in Korea?

Negea and Herea!!! I would go nuts if these two came :bouncy:. The one game that I saw Herea play in (the thrashing that we handed National in Ghencea) he played amazing on that right wing (finally some competiton for Nico (Y)). He also has 5 or 6 goals this season which is pretty good just for league play for a poor team and he's only 22. Neaga coming back is HUGE! Man our strike-force would be amazing, we already have strikers who have all scored 10+ goals this season.

I'm don't know much about the other two :confused:. Gurita seems pretty old and washed up but I guess and extra experienced striker never hurts. Prepelita is the best player Arges has right? What position does he play in midfield?

edit: just found his profile on romaniansoccer.ro, http://www.romaniansoccer.ro/players/p/prepelita.shtml, it says that he's a Dinamo fan (N), we'll be quick to change that garbage if he comes (H). He plays right midfielder or central offensive mid btw (Y)

Ovidu Herea - 5 goals (FC National has only scored 19 this season)
Andrei Prepelita - 4 goals (FC Arges has only scored 19 this season)

and they are BOTH midfielders! These are exactly the type of players that we need. Young, attacking mids who can score. Again if these deals go through then I won't say anything bad about MM/Becali/Oli for the entire off-season. However if it's just bulls*it talk by MM on national tv then I WILL BE F*CKING PISSED!

Great victory today, I don't even remember the last time we scored 3 goals, wasn't it against Otelul in the Cup? Still, it took us more than 90 minutes in that game so it's nice to see we're back on track with our third straight victory (Y), hadn't had a 3 game winning streak in the league since like matchday 6. Ochirosii's goal :o!!

The game next week scares me a bit, Dan Petrescu is doing a fantastic job with Unirea, they've gone 8 straight games without conceeding a goal (6 wins, 2 draws). And we all know our record away is anything but great.

With MM gone, Becali is in pure control which scares me as he knows nothing about the game. I don't undertand why Oli is still here. We won 3-0 today but played like sh!t. Well Croitoru has been starting for 3 games now :confused:, and be sure that Dica would be playing if it wasn't for the injury. As for Elton, the media is trying to turn this into a Becali vs. Elton thing but it's clear that he's not playing because he has reported pain in his leg muscles to the trainers.

I'm not denying or taking away anything that MM did but when you think about it he did more bad than good for Steaua. He wasn't the one that took the team to the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup and the CL groups and the back to back titles, the players did that. I respect him for being curageous and looking for managers outside of Romania and coming up with Zenga and Protasov but eventually he settled for "an old friend" who has turned the great team that Zenga and Protasov put together into a mediocre squad.

I think in his tenure with Steaua, MM gave the club a negative vibe because of his stupid cries in the media and his ability to pick up verbal media fights with almost any stupid prick in that country. He's got too much attitude to be a general manager, a position which after all should be about staying in the dark and making your moves not coming out and starting fights with everyone, which creates controversy for the club. You don't see GMs here in the US giving interviews every single day and screaming out their opinions like they're on top of Everest. I appreciate what he did but GOOD RIDDANCE.

Would love to see him start at a good club with European action in France or Italy (honestly these are the only countries were I could see him perform).

"Din acei bani, 20 la sută mi-ar reveni mie, dar eu renunţ la ei. Mai rămîn 800.000, care vor fi plătiţi de Steaua, dar o parte şi de mine, că am salariul mare aici şi îmi permit să dau şi eu ceva", a explicat Neaga.

De ce Becali îl doreşte pe Neaga la echipă, în ciuda faptului că MM nu mai e la club? Dindouă motive. yeah you're probably right about him not liking to play there but at the way he's played this season he needs to keep it shut and play wherever he is told which he has done. Look at that cross he had today for the 2nd goal though (Y), class, reminds me of the Nicolita from last season. Contra would be a solid player to bring in.

CL baby, after how s*itty this season was we can still say at the end that we have a chance to play in the CL next season. Props to the team for putting it together for these last 8 games and getting 8 straight wins (Y)(Y)(Y). If anything Olaroiu deserves to coach Steaua next season just for the way he handled the end of this one.

11 losses is a bit much but that's not the thing that bothers me the most, the 11 draws screwed us up even more in Liga 1. Had it not been for those poor 0-0 away results we would of still had a chance to win our third straight (:/). The goal differential is fantastic though.

As for Iacob, what can you say, he's played in like 10 games or something this season and he scored 8, Becali would be a fool to not keep him. Oh and you won your bet with your friend. Cyril's total is only at Steaua and doesn't even include the 4 goals he scored for Charleroi.

Thereau and Badea (Y) Really unexpected. Also it was nice to see Ochirosii get some games, he'll turn up big.

Would like us to get Contra and Gurita. I mean we're really in need of a constant right-back, and Contra, even though he isn't fast, is a pretty complete one, with a large experience. Yeah, he played for Dinamo, but as long as he can give everything for us, I don't see any problems. Gurita would be good too, he's that type of penalty box veteran who went through all the ranks of the Romanian football. Could be really useful if one of our strikers would get injuried, also he could be a good sub and could start in the Cup games so we can rest the other forwards.

Atacantul Farului Constanţa, Mihai Guriţă, spune că s-a înţeles cu patronul Gheorghe Bosînceanu şi că urmează să semneze în cel mai scurt timp cu Steaua. "Am vorbit cu preşedintele Farului şi am bătut palma, îmi va da drumul să plec. Luni voi veni în Bucureşti pentru a semna actele, sînt deja al Stelei", a spus Guriţă.

Valeriu Argaseala a ajuns la un acord cu oficialii clubului Jiul si pentru transferul fundasului Fabian Teusan, dupa ce Eric Bicfalvi a fost deja acontat de gruparea bucuresteana.
Fundasul stanga in varsta de 19 ani va semna un contract cu Steaua pe cinci ani, la fel ca Bicfalvi.

Desi Ioan Sdrobis (n.r. managerul general al Jiului) a declarat ca nu il va lasa pe acesta sa se transfere la Jiul, se pare ca fotbalistul va semna la revenirea din Elvetia contractul de joc, odata cu Eric Bicfalvi.

In acest moment, Fabian Teusan si Eric Bicfalvi se afla in Elvetia, fiind componenti ai lotului national U 19, care participa acolo la un turneu de calificare la Campionatul European din 2009.
