Could someone please help me out? I would like to be able to watch the Games and manually choose formations and substitutions but when I try I am forced to play the game (Control the players).

Is there a patch or setting I am missing to allow this?

You can set the controller icons in the team ready screen in between the teams then the computer will play both your and the opposing team, however each time you want to make tactical adjustments or make a substitution you'll have to take control of the team, open the menu, make your changes and then give back control to the CPU by putting the controllers in the middle again. I use that mode a lot to test my gameplay mod.

This works in normal gameplay but not whilst in manager mode :(
I am forced to start the game as player of my team then durring game play there is no option in the menu to switch controlers or teams.

Ah could be possible, I only start manager mode when the new Fifa comes out and done editting so I didn't check it out :)

TRy installing the mod that allows you to restart manager mode games. That maybe what allows me to do it. Or it might be that I have multiple controllers so the game needs to allow me to move them out of my team (to select the other one).
