It isn't bad luck. The other teams have just improved a lot. Especially teams like Uruguay. They've really improved a lot and have the best defence now. Paraguay and Ecuador have also improved. Brazil will qualify, but in the 5th position in South America

Brazil will get the 4 or 5 spot in Qualifying, I'm guessing 5. Too bad for Australia, because Brazil will give them a great beating.

I'm not to sure either that Brazil will beat Australia, the Aussies are getting better I think and Brazil....? Well that's a different story all together :(

The fact is that Brasil believed too much in the 2nd place in WC98. Since then, the quality of the players has been diminishing (good players getting older and new players not coming good), while other teams improved.

IMHO they are in the same spot as Germany in 1997...

About the playoff... I'm sure FIFA can't afford to lose a World Cup without Brasil...

I think, that Brazil will only recover after WC2002. They can't get throw, because they are choosing the bad players, well not bad, but the were another players that are better, they are taking, those who play in South America and not the players like, Rivaldo, R.Carlos, Cafu.
