I was pretty sure it will be easy match as hell because Legia played with half -professional team. I expected something really different. Unfortunately they didn't show how well they can play football.
I'm hoping I'll see in Warsaw more goals and the most important thing much better style than that which Legia showed on Iceland :)
hehehe,
after Champions League draw, Ukrainians take up Legia's fan board with their posts. They are from Kiev and from Donetsk... And they're picking a quarrel (about who's better Dynamo or Shakhtar) :chew:

I've never seen an Icelandic club play, how would you say their style is? Is it similar to Norweigian football which is little technique and lots of physical play?
I'm sure Legia will go through easily..

I'm sure Legia will go through easily..Players in Iceland are half-proffesional. They go to work and at evening after work they train. Their style... hm, yes, lots of physical... They're very tall and good-building.
Tosiek 31-07-2006, 04:46:PM Good game against Cracovia. Shame about the players who scored in that match... only brazilians. :boohoo: (final score 3:1 for Legia)

Can you give me some info on Korzym? I just know he's a really promising forward, about 18, and also a god in FM :fool:.
Would like him to become a good player, been knowing him since he was 16 (Total Club Manager).
Can you give me some info on Korzym? I just know he's a really promising forward, about 18, and also a god in FM :fool:.
Would like him to become a good player, been knowing him since he was 16 (Total Club Manager). It's true - in FM series he's a very good player, but in real world...
Maciej Korzym - born in 1988 in Nowy Sacz. His first club was Sandecja Nowy Sacz (3rd division team). In 2004/2005 season he moved to Legia as very big talent. He was 16 on this time. In 04/05 seson he was at reserves, he wasn't play at any Legia match. After season he moved to Odra Wodzislaw (average first division team) on loan. In Odra he played on right midfield (he's a striker) and played very average. This season he's back from loan and... probably once again he'll be at reserve.
In real world better is Dawid Janczyk, who came to us from the same club as Korzym - Sandecja Nowy Sacz but one year later. In 2005/06 season he scored some goals in league for Legia and in EURO CHAMPS U-19 (this tournament was on Eurosport Live). He's 19.
But for FM team Korzym is better than Janczyk...
Sorry for my poor english.

http://legia.com.pl/img_news/20070412_144835_wdowczyk1.jpgWdowczyk sacked

German "Bild" journalist was on Legia match (Legia played agianst Korona). He wanted to check how Poles supporters support their clubs. He wrote:
"Poland: No beer, but super fans"
That was suprising week in Poland: UEFA EURO 2012 will be play in Poland and Ukraine. But football in Poland - where it is going to? BILD-am-SONNTAG's journalist Julien Wolff was on friday on top match: Legia Warsaw against Korona Kielce. And he enjoyed it.
(my translation from german to english, sorry for mistakes)
German journalist underlined great atmosphere at Warsaw stadium. He was only afraid of crowd of policemen, whose looked like antiterrorist squad.
"A hour before the match the biggest platform is full of fans. They are jumping and screaming: "Legia, Legia". When players appear aon the pitch, everyone hold scarfs very high and singing club antherm" - he wrote.
"Beer at the stadium is forbidden but fans are very happy. They talking and laughing. I don't notice any violence."

Błaszczykowski = genius
Yeah... someone one day asked me how good is Korzym because he is very big talent in Football Manager. I answered that he is average. But yesterday he was the best Legia player in this match... Football Manager squad is infallible ;)
Błaszczykowski - pure talent. If he won't be in first squad in Dortmund next season I will be very suprised.
Tosiek 28-04-2007, 12:47:PM That would be a suprise, if next season, he'll be play in second Bundesliga.
LEGIA IN INTERTOTO CUP
After disappointing season Legia will play in Intertoto Cup. Club from Warsaw placed 3rd in Orange Ekstraklasa 2006/2007 season.
In Intertoto Cup Legia will play against club form Lithuania. If Legia advance to 2nd round - against Blackburn Rovers

Tosiek 26-05-2007, 06:17:PM Fabiański has gone. Who's gonna be number one now?
New players in Legia:
Wojciech Skaba [GK] (from Odra Wodzislaw)
Kamil Grosciki [FW] (from Pogon Szczecin)
Tosiek 03-06-2007, 09:22:PM You're taking last Poles from Pogoń:p From that what I read and heard about Grosicki, he seems to be a big talent.
Is there any rumours about probable transfers to Legia? Are you still talking with Jacek Bąk? I'm so sorry about that defeat with Łęczna, it has had to be painful experience losing at own stadium.:S
I know about Jacek Bak. Now he is in Armenia with our National Team, and probably after match against this country he'll back to Warsaw and he will start talking with Legia.
Another rumour is that Jacek Kosmalski (Polonia Warsaw) will sign Legia. Newpapers also metioned something about Emmanuel Ekwueme and Mariusz Zasada
Tosiek 04-06-2007, 03:53:PM Did Jan Urban become the coach of Legia officially?
Today is Legia's press conference (at 19:00CET). We will see.
Tosiek 04-06-2007, 08:24:PM Jan Urban was officially presented as the coach of Legia at press conference . (Y)
Jan Urban trenerem warszawskiej Legii

Tosiek 13-06-2007, 09:05:PM Austria offered more so I am not surprised at all.
