van der vaart 07-05-2007, 04:56:PM Bah, Amstel Bier sucks. It's one of the worst together with Bavaria
Congratulations with the Cup, for what it's worth. Ajax showed they were willing to fight to the end for it. I do think this'll cost you in the first match against Heerenveen. Although I think Ajax'll win over 2 legs. I have more doubts about AZ's chances vs. Twente
A week to go till Heerenveen's game, so enough time to restore our physical readiness and the psychological impact of this victory will be more meaningful for the team i think. in good way of course. i also think, that AZ is now absolutely finished after this defeat. 2 lost titles in 7 days in such a way.. is fu*king mental ruination

The game against Heerenveen is the day after tomorrow so it's very soon after the finals. I think we can pull of a win or maybe they will win by 1 goal, we can finish them in Amsterdam a few days later.
I'm convinced that we can make it to the CL but the next opponent could be tougher, maybe even AZ again :boohoo: hopefully it will be Twente cause we won with 4-1 in the competition against them..
Zlatan 07-05-2007, 05:36:PM Well I think there's a fair chance FC Twente might pull one over AZ. That's the stupidity of the play-offs. It will than be up to us to save our nation's football, by preventing Twente from reaching the CL.
But let's first just see off Heerenveen, that's gonna be tough enough. I'm hoping for a 1-1 draw or something on Wednesday and than finish them off at the ArenA. We must find a way to contain Alves though. :(

Like you did last year with Groningen....and then losing to FC Kopenhagen in the qualifying round...

Damn, i really thought that the game is just on sunday. it's on Wednesday, so we definitely can have some recovery problems after such a battle yesterday. but hoping everything will be ok. a draw 1-1 or 2-2 would be good result
van der vaart 07-05-2007, 06:26:PM Gabri is suspended for 3 matches :boohoo: it means that he will miss both games with Heerenveen and if we overcome them, he will miss first match in play-offs final
Zlatan 07-05-2007, 07:41:PM Like you did last year with Groningen....and then losing to FC Kopenhagen in the qualifying round...
Groningen would have lost hopelessly to Kopenhagen, while we did through an unlucky own goal.
Hopeunited 07-05-2007, 11:24:PM Like you did last year with Groningen....and then losing to FC Kopenhagen in the qualifying round...
haha, jerk :nape: :p
PS: damn do we look good in the new away kit.
Zlatan 08-05-2007, 05:14:PM Gabri has extended his contract until 2011! (Y)

Excellent news! :bob:
I applaud Martin v Geel our manager for taking action after there were stories that he would go to Liverpool.
I also read today that Ajax wants Wesley Sneijder to stay for 1 season more and they are willing to break his contract open and pay a LOT of money every month to keep him.
Sneijder is interested cause in one year he can be the replacement for Deco at Barcelona and he doesn't mind staying in Amsterdam with 'his club'.
GO MARTIN LET'S MAKE THIS WORK AND FOCK VALENCIA!
PSVFOREVER 09-05-2007, 09:31:AM Haha, Delorge, perfect replacement for Sneijder... And he isnt even a Ronald Koeman signing... :p
Zlatan 09-05-2007, 09:52:AM He isn't a replacement for Wes. Wes might even stay. He's more for the 'breedte' of the squad, I think.
Tosiek 09-05-2007, 10:35:AM Congrats for winning the Legaue Cup!(Y)
Silencer 09-05-2007, 11:05:AM Congrats for winning the Legaue Cup!(Y)
Yeah cheers it's at least something but I much rather qualify for the Champions League next season.
Delorge?? Hmm we'll see but it's like Zlatan said it's not even sure that Wes will leave Ajax due to other possibilities like replacing Deco next year at Barca.
We'll see how things go, I've read that Ajax want to buy new players for all positions and knowing Martin v Geel I'm sure they will be good players who can addapt wel to the Ajax Climate.
van der vaart 09-05-2007, 02:18:PM Ajax rejected Valencia 12 mln euros offer for Wesley
Zlatan 09-05-2007, 02:19:PM Way to low for him indeed. I want 20-25m for him at the very least.
Silencer 09-05-2007, 09:49:PM 1-0 loss we'll finish them off in Amsterdam.
Heerenveen think they are already there idiots remember Groningen last year?? We lost against them with 2-1 in the play-offs but finished them off at the Arena.
I'm sure we'll do the same again on sunday cause we want CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!
PSVFOREVER 09-05-2007, 10:41:PM Just as I expected, Ajax lost this match, but managed to keep the score low, so I think you'll advance to the final round.
Zlatan 10-05-2007, 09:26:AM I'm happy we kept it at 1-0. I still think we can make it.
I'll be there sunday, cheering the lads on. :D
van der vaart 10-05-2007, 11:01:AM 1-0 loss we'll finish them off in Amsterdam.

well, there was a bit different situation against groningen. we played first game at Arena and won 2-0 and then lost an away match 1-2.
we played s*it yeterday and if not steks, it probably would be a lot worse now. still 0-1 on away game always is a bad result. if they will score 1 in Arena, we'll have to score 3 and we scored 0 against them in last two encounters. we will attack and that means that alves will have some space on counterattacks and that's always a big dangerous. so honestly, i'm fuc*king worried about our situation right now. especially after the way we played yesterday
Zlatan 10-05-2007, 12:37:PM According to VI.nl we have almost secured our second signing of this summer. Kennedy Bakircioglu is coming from Twente, he only needs to go through the medical. I think this is a very good signing because he's at a good age, scored 15 and assisted 9 this season. We needed a right winger as Tom is probably gonna leave this summer, because he refused to sign a new contract just a few weeks ago.
Silencer 12-05-2007, 02:48:AM That's good news Zlatan (good news bringer ;)
It seems that the Eredivisie is going to introduce golden stars on the new kits for Ajax, Feyenoord and psv. (same as in Italy)
We are getting 2 stars representing 29 championtitles and psv gets 2 championstars as well for 20 Championchip titles, Feyenoord only get to wear one. One star represents 10 titles.
The stars will be placed just a bit above the Ajaxlogo and they will be introduced at the beginning of the new season probably during the Johan Cruyff cup in august when we play our traditional match against psv.
Now sunday we need a win with 2 goals more than Heerenveen, our captain Stam has asked us all to come to the stadium and to cheer the lads on. Well I'm always there when we play at home of course. Jaapie says that our support strengthens the team so if you can COME TO THE GAME!
When we won't make it to the Champions League there are going to be budgetcuts according to the financial manager but let's cross that bridge when we get there cause I think we can win this one in our own Arena.
Zlatan 12-05-2007, 08:53:AM Ofcourse I'll come, Japie's wish is my command, lol. :D
When we won't make it, I think Wesley will be sold and maybe Klaas too. :(
Silencer 12-05-2007, 04:10:PM Let's hope that's not going to happen shall we :boohoo:
Man I hope we win this one but after that it's probably AZ and us in the finals for the play-offs dear god not again :nape: I'm hoping it's gonna be FC Twente.
Just got a new signature here with Wes as well ;)
van der vaart 13-05-2007, 03:36:PM Ajax-Heerenveen 4-0
piece of cake :mexican:
Now it's AZ again. It will be two cruel encounters.. bring it on! :alex:
Davids and Gabri will miss first match, so probably Maduro will start from beginning, or Roger maybe. still, it's a great victory today! :jacko:

No, not Roger..I think they will play with 2 strikers (Babel and Huntelaar) and with Sneijder, Perez, Heitinga and Maduro on the midfield...
Zlatan 13-05-2007, 04:27:PM Just got back from the stadium. Nice match, good riddance. But we're not there yet. AZ is back up again. Well atleast, whatever happens, there will be a decent competitor for Holland in the CL next season.
We'll miss Edje though, he played marvelous again today.

Silencer 13-05-2007, 05:36:PM Sander how are ya pal good to see you back here :)
I had a great time at the Arena this afternoon like Zlatan but I was a bit surprised since the stadium was not sold out at all! :o Only halffull for as far as I could see but it was fantastic nevertheless.
For me one of the best on the pitch was without a doubt GEORGE OGARARU OMG he played superb most of the time, intercepted every cross from Heerenveen before Alves and Nielssen and he was agressive yet fair for the opponents. Watching this guy perform over 90 minutes was a feast for my eyes. And guys what a difference Perez makes when he enters the pitch, scored a good goal but he's dangerous as well. I agree with Sander, I think Perez will start against AZ next week. First away then home so hopefully it will be the same. A week rest for the lads and then it's bombs away Louis v Gaal and we can finish them off at our Arena.. Somehow I think that the stadium will be more filled in two weeks ;)
One bad thing today is that Stam has a hamstring injury (again) but our medical team has a week to make sure that he can play.
Davids suspended is a great loss for the team and Gabri will be back in Amsterdam in two weeks let's hold on to that.
PSVFOREVER 13-05-2007, 07:35:PM Yay, two more games Ajax-AZ! This will again be battles to live or die...(to be knocked out by some crappy scandinavian/eastern european side in the 3rd CL qualification round...
Zlatan 13-05-2007, 08:14:PM Damn, I just heard that Stam will be out for some weeks again, with the same hamstring injury. I think that means end of the season for him. :(
Seeing how important he was for us again today and also taking into account that Edje is suspended, it's gonna be very difficult in Alkmaar I'm afraid.
ajaxforever 14-05-2007, 03:02:PM Sander how are ya pal good to see you back here :)
...
hey martijn, i'm fine thanks! everything ok with you?

i agree with that, i think they've to do 2 things, score 1 important away goal, and don't let them score (to much).
Silencer 14-05-2007, 05:14:PM hey martijn, i'm fine thanks! everything ok with you?
Yeah I'm good thanks :) Exciting weeks ahead of us let's hope we can keep the score decent in Alkmaar and win good at the Arena. We'll see
Zlatan 15-05-2007, 04:27:PM It's official guys. Bakircioglu has signed a contract with us and will join the squad on the 1st of July.

it's a good signing i think, especially, because it did'n cost us a cent :$
Silencer 16-05-2007, 03:01:PM it's a good signing i think, especially, because it did'n cost us a cent :$
Hmm I wouldn't call 1 million nothing :boohoo:
van der vaart 16-05-2007, 10:57:PM Hmm I wouldn't call 1 million nothing :boohoo:
i thought that we got him on transfer free, coz his contract at twente ended after this season. on ajax.nl also nothing is said about 1 million, but yeah i found on ajaxlive.nl that we paid that million. still, this is a good deal. 1 million in todays football is just a tip
Zlatan 17-05-2007, 08:39:AM His contract with Twente ended in 2008.
Still 1 million is pretty much nothing in modern days football.
Silencer 19-05-2007, 12:42:AM AJAX WANTS ANOTHER ROMANIAN PLAYER!
They are gunning for Marius Constantin from Rapid Bucarest as a replacement for Grygera. He has a reputation as a cardmagnet, receives many cards :o
He can play rightback, leftback and center it seems.
Any Romanian here knows who he is and if he's any good??
Zlatan 19-05-2007, 12:59:PM Hmm, I'm not so sure about all these Romanian players coming to Amsterdam. I mean only because Cristi was so legendary, doesn't mean all Romanians are.
5000th post!!! :jacko:
Silencer 19-05-2007, 01:26:PM Congrats Zlatan :mexican:
That's why I want to know more about this Constantin if he's any good or not but what I do know is that the Ajax-scouts are good in what they do so I trust they know what they're doing..
TOMORROW AZ AWAY without Stam, Davids and Gabri gonna be very hard but hopefully we can keep the score low in Alkmaar.
EDIT:
It seems it's not only Wes we're going to lose but Klaas-Jan as well, according to Tutto Sport in Italy he is close to a transfer to Juventus for 18m WTF I think they should pay double price for him!
Damn this is not looking good, Wes, Klaas-Jan :( the only good thing is that it means money in the bank for new players but try to replace KJH I really don't know who??? Alves??
Silencer 20-05-2007, 01:32:PM OK we lost with 2-1 in Alkmaar against AZ but this awaygoal could proven to be very important!
Only 1 goal difference and they scorded in the 90' minute (Arveladze who else). I think we can do it next week in Amsterdam, we have to finish them off and that's what we're going to do COME ON AJAX!
Wes scored a beauty, pure individual CLASS man we're going to miss him so very much :(
He won't play next week (suspension, yellow in 93 minute) so this could wel have been his last game for us :$ and URBY IS INJURED :boohoo:
But we can do it at home, like we've beaten Heerenveen, surprise them but without Wes it's not going to be easy.
Good thing is that Edje will be back and finally Gabri returns (about time) (H)
Zlatan 20-05-2007, 01:40:PM Shame we couldn't hold on to that 1-1 draw. That would've been a marvelous result. Still I think there's a fair chance we will make it, although we will miss Wes terribly next week. Atleast he scored a beautiful away goal.
PSVFOREVER 20-05-2007, 07:55:PM Bye bye Sneijder then. Nice way to end this phase of his career.
Silencer 20-05-2007, 08:49:PM Very soon it's bye bye Alex, bye bye Farfan so shut it :mexican:
UPDATE URBY:
The injury is not very severe, it looks like he's going to make the last game against AZ (Y)
Good cause we need him even though the first AZ goal today was because he made a huge mistake in defense.
Hopeunited 20-05-2007, 08:53:PM Very soon it's bye bye Alex, bye bye Farfan so shut it :mexican:
(H).
2-1 is not too bad. But no Sneijder for the next game?! :|
PSVFOREVER 20-05-2007, 09:24:PM oh, that's not what I meant, Ajax can deal with Sneijder's transfer too. But Alex, Cocu and other leaving players left at a glorious moment.
Kulixs 20-05-2007, 11:04:PM Why's everyone saying bye to Sneijder, has he actually agreed a transfer elsewhere? And where ?
Hopeunited 21-05-2007, 01:43:AM Why's everyone saying bye to Sneijder, has he actually agreed a transfer elsewhere? And where ?
He hasn't. But due to his phenomenal performances throughout this season, there is a logical general feeling that he is about to move to one of the big leagues this summer.
rpvankasteren 21-05-2007, 01:44:AM That and the interviews he gives wherein he constantly mentions his departure from the club.
newbie original 21-05-2007, 01:52:AM So, anyone able to confirm if the ManPoo delegation was infact at this game?
I'd prefer, and hope, to see him join his countryman up front at Anfield.
rpvankasteren 21-05-2007, 06:08:AM He's going to Valencia, if them and Ajax reach an agreement.
Silencer 21-05-2007, 09:41:AM So, anyone able to confirm if the ManPoo delegation was infact at this game?
I'd prefer, and hope, to see him join his countryman up front at Anfield.
Well yeah there was a delegation but they were more impressed with Wesley Sneijder then Huntelaar ;)
The newest rumour here is that Juventus wants KJH for 18m.
According to Martin van Geel, it has been silent for two weeks concerning the transfer regarding Wesley so nothing is certain yet but hearing him talk after the game yesterday it's pretty much certain that he will play for another team after the summervacation and Valencia has the best papers because he really wants to join them.
Zlatan 21-05-2007, 03:55:PM He shouldn't go to Valencia. That club is very unstable and below his level IMO.
Hopeunited 21-05-2007, 04:02:PM He shouldn't go to Valencia. That club is very unstable and below his level IMO.
At least it'll be a better choice than HSV. :p
PSVFOREVER 21-05-2007, 05:27:PM Valencia did win La Liga twice in the last 5 years and also won a UEFA-cup. Something tells me they are toplevel. They do well in the CL as well (quarters this year, but a few years ago they were in the final twice) They are unstable though, often after a good year, they end 5th or 6th or something.
newbie original 21-05-2007, 11:40:PM Wesley Sneijder!!!!!!
What a goal.
I just saw the hilites.
Silencer 27-05-2007, 03:38:AM KLAAS JAN HUNTELAAR: ONE MORE YEAR!
Huntelaar wants to stay in Amsterdam, he´s laughing about all the news that he´s already been signed. Let them do what they want I want to stay another year and I want to become Champions with Ajax next season, we were one goal short this year but next season we have to become champion.
He says it´s better for his development to stay one more season, you never know what can happen but right now I have no plans leaving Ajax.
Zlatan 27-05-2007, 09:03:AM That would be marvelous, if Klaas would stay. But I don't think he's going to reject a club like Man Utd, if they come with a good offer.
van der vaart 27-05-2007, 10:27:AM That would be marvelous, if Klaas would stay. But I don't think he's going to reject a club like Man Utd, if they come with a good offer.
ManU will spend a lot of money signing Hargreaves (25m euro), so i don't think, that this summer they are ready to pay 20-25m euro for KJH
van der vaart 27-05-2007, 03:32:PM Ajax-AZ 3-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jacko:
In your face AZ! :hit:
Zlatan 27-05-2007, 04:22:PM Haha, that's it.
I hope this will teach AZ to be a little less arrogant, next season. Great victory, but to be honest I never really doubted we would make it.
Hopeunited 27-05-2007, 08:38:PM Haha as expected. (Y)
The title will be ours next season.
PSVFOREVER 27-05-2007, 08:50:PM Im even not that unhappy Ajax won. I just cant stand van Gaal. His reaction after the match was utter bs. Even if Huntelaar did touch the ball, to make Heitinga's goal offside, still Ajax were way better and scored 2 more times.
Tosiek 28-05-2007, 01:23:PM AZ was on the best way to win everything, at the end they have nothing. That's pretty sad I think. Anyway congrats to Ajax (Y)
Silencer 28-05-2007, 09:31:PM It was a superparty yesterday in the ArenA, fantastic win over those arrogant b@st@rds, thinking they could win easily HELLLLLLLLL NO VAN GAAL take your loss like a man and stop complaining whino :boohoo:
MoM Edgar DAVIDS and Huntelaar was superb as well.
All in all a great teameffort and it's about time we returned to the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. I've read today that we have a 'protected status' in the qualifying rounds because we are AJAX :mexican: The UEFA decided on that today. This means we will not get very strong opponents welllll depends how you look at it:
Possible opponents: Fehnerbace, Racing Genk, AEK Athens, Dinamo Bucharest, Spartak Mosow, Sparta Prague, Red Star Belgrade, Toulouse and>................FC KOPENHAGEN (again).
I'm hoping on FC Kopenhagen cause we still have a score to settle with them but no tough opponents hahahaha come on they are tough enough if you ask me. But we can beat most of them I'm sure of that.
PSVFOREVER 28-05-2007, 09:59:PM Those are pretty tough teams. All those Eastern European teams are tough, Fenerbahce as well. Genk is probably the easiest.
Zlatan 29-05-2007, 12:33:PM I hope we get Kopenhagen and show them how lucky they were last year...
Silencer 29-05-2007, 06:09:PM I hope we get Kopenhagen and show them how lucky they were last year...
I second that, it would be a great revanche for us :mexican:
NEWS:
Ajax told the following players that they can leave the club:
Nicolae Mitea, Tom de Mul and Perez wants to leave himself.
Too bad about Kenneth and Mitea if you ask me but on the other hand.... Schilder and Vertonghen will return to Ajax next season.
Zlatan 29-05-2007, 07:05:PM It's sad Kenneth wants to leave. I think he shouldn't give up this easily, after all he did score 12 in 27 games. And if Wes leaves(which is almost certain to happen, even Japie admitted he thought he would go) he'll get more games and starting places.
I don't really care about the other two. Tom did well last season, but with Bakircioglu coming, we won't really need him anymore. Mitea is injured all the time, so it's better if he goes to find his luck somewhere else.
van der vaart 30-05-2007, 12:25:PM if i remember good, we paid 2.5m euros for perez, so i wonder, how much can we have for him now if he really leaves this summer
Silencer 31-05-2007, 12:17:AM OK our coach Ten Cate wants to review his future with Ajax in 6 months time, it could well be that he signs for another year after next season. He did good this season, we played better, scored more goals, won the cup and qualified for Prerounds CL and we were soooooooooo close (1 goal) to the championship.
Ten Cate said in an interview that he wants to buy a striker who is strong, agressive, is a good header and someone who can decides a game when needed but who???????????
The teams for the Amsterdam Tournament are: ARSENAL, ATLETICO MADRID, LAZIO and us of course. We play against Arsenal and Atletico.
I will be there, a few weeks later we play the JC Cup again against psv (third year in a row), both times the JC game was a win for us.
OH AND GET THIS: Martin van Geel said yesterday:"MITEA IS GOING NOWHERE" he wants to give him a chance because he had an injury for a long time and he wants him to prove himself for the team.....good choice (Y)
Hopeunited 31-05-2007, 02:39:AM OH AND GET THIS: Martin van Geel said yesterday:"MITEA IS GOING NOWHERE" he wants to give him a chance because he had an injury for a long time and he wants him to prove himself for the team.....good choice (Y)
That's good news. I like Mitea.
Zlatan 31-05-2007, 09:20:AM I don't really. He's one of those Romanians surving on the success of Cristi a few years ago. He's injured all the time and if he's not, he plays sh*t.
van der vaart 31-05-2007, 05:22:PM Mitea just don't have quality we need. we should sell or loan him
Zlatan 04-06-2007, 08:36:AM New developments concerning Wesley guys.
Valencia has stopped negotiations about him. They made an offer for him twice, but twice they were rejected. Now Wes is starting to get angry. Understandable, but he'll have to understand that 12m is just not good enough. Moreover I'm still not convinced Valencia is the right club for him, really.
Doesn't mean he won't go though. I think maybe a club like Barca will come around now and will pay the right price...
PSVFOREVER 04-06-2007, 10:45:AM Sneijder will leave. It's obvious he wants to leave, and you cant stop him. Forcing him to stay would be bad for everyone: he'll be unhappy and won't perform as good as he did this season, due to this hois value would drop quite a bit.
Zlatan 04-06-2007, 01:33:PM Is that some wishful thinking I hear, Cody?
No, I know. He's gonna leave, it's not like this will keep him from that and it's not like no one knows that. But he shouldn't go to Valencia really. And if they don't offer enough, it just won't be good for all parties.
bybuti 04-06-2007, 02:36:PM i heard something that barcelona will make a partnership agreement with ajax, to exchange coaching staff, players and medical services.
the new barca stars Bojan Krkic, Giovani dos Santos and Marco Crosas next season can be in ajax shirt, to make their senior experience :D
i hope this come true :D
I LOVE HOLLAND :)
ajax has great academy :D and is the best place when players from barca academy can make their experience ;)
