I got unidb and have used it to alter values such as retirementage in table_players.

Though after importing back into fifa.db, i checked by exporting again.
To my surprise the values changed, i initially used retirement age 90, and the age changed to 34. So then i tried a less outrageous number like 45, this worked and stayed as 45 after checking, though in the game it seems to have no effect as players were still retiring before this age.

However i have seen results by altering the amount of money sponsors give u after each game.

I;ve tried to get the rinaldo dbmaster, and fifadata 2.8, but all the sites seem to have overused their bandwidth. plz help someone

Many values that you find in the database have a range that you have to stay between. I think for retirement age the range would stop somewhere in the 40s. Beware though, having values outside of the reasonable range can cause the game to crash whenver that value is used. A good example of this would be player height. If you make someone 250cm tall then the game will crash when that player is playing.

I have also found that many of the changed values will not update in the game unless you start a new career or delete the d.squads file (mostly for player attribute changes).

but i use 45, thats not too unreasonable and it stays unlike 90 which changes. In game this doesnt seem to work, players are retiring in 30's. Its like changing the value does nothing, yet with my sponsors i could change the amount of money each game.

Also when i start a new career, the problem remains

Have you tried deleting your d.squads file?

cool it works now, zidane and other players dont seem to be retiring soon. But after the first season it crashes when scheduling the new season
