Exactly the same problem!
Are you getting Kernel32.dll error?
I got WIN 98, Pentium III 800MHz
voodoo3 3500 TV
and Sound blaster Live X-Gamer
I went here http://www.ea.com/rivals/games/mm_fifa01/home.jsp
Find TechnicalSupport and go there.
I post my problem with another dude.
Let me know if you find out something.

Ok, I fixed it. I uninstalled WEB TV from my Win 98.
Now, The good news is that I can play Multiplayer in FIFA 2001.
The bad news is that I can't watch TV on my voodoo3 3500 TV card. (and that was the main reason why I bought it).
Dear EA Castomer Support, now that I gave you the exact reason for the (kernel32.dll) problem that MANY people with voodoo3 3500 TV card have, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE solve these problem with a patch or something, so we don't have to [uninstall WEB TV-restart-instal-restart-...... our computers to play FIFA 2001 and to watch TV.
