Having one or two problems.

Most don't seem to be a problem. Deleting Shearer and Bergkamp for instance is fine. But I'm having problems deleting players who in the game play for both clubs and national teams. Zinedine Zidane for instance. I deleted him from Real Madrid, but if you then go to France, it completely ruins it and I got error messages.

Any way of avoiding this?

Is there also a way of editing players who in the game play for both a club and national team, but have since moved clubs to a team/league not in the game (Stan Lazaridis, Alexei Smertin etc)so that they play for a national team only?

You should never delete a player. When you want to remove him from a team, click on the "-" (Remove Player) button and then click "No".
