Does anyone knows how to solve this problem?
At scandisk it restarts scanning after 30 seconds and after doing this 10 times it gives an error saying: scandisk has restarted ten times because windows or an other application writed to the disk. If you close down some programs, scandisk will finish faster. But the problem is i just run one program (scandisk). At defrag it just restarts after again 30 seconds. In the ctrl+alt+del menu, i only run explorer and systray. Who can help me out?

dunno, maybe an antivirus program is running in the background? it's abviously something that is writing to the drive... or maybe becuse it's windoze http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif... also u might wanna try expending your virtual memory size.

1) allow the option to "Automatically fix all errors"

2) Do a thorough test

3) Do not run any other apps while you run scandisk, so once u start scandisk (from a fresh reboot)

4) Walk away for a very long time, i usually perform scandisk and defrag while i sleep

i know what the problem is ...
i had the same once !

- first check there are no other programs running... in windows like virusscan,...

- if that doesn't work ... you just have to format your pc !!
after that it will work again

Why don't you defrag or scanddisk in Safe mode. Better still download the Norton Utilities 2001 demo and use it.
