I think both games are worth buying & playing, though I prefer FIFA 2001 myself. Why ? because FIFA 2001 has more teams, leagues, real player's name, and authentic kits than ISS. I don't care if FIFA 2001 lacks the realistic gameplay 'cuz that can be improved next year, right ?

If you play soccer games because you like the :
1) strategy -- buy and play CM
2) realistic gameplay -- buy and play ISS
3) graphics, more teams & leagues selection -- buy and play FIFA 2001
