only one question: could you correct the ball name during replay?
if you use a ball from kitserver and you see a replay during the match, the game show the name of the ball selected from the original k_text.afs (for we9lek) and not from the kitserver's name...

I think this is a very little detail. I changed the names for my balls to "ball"
So in every replay the ball is called "ball" and that's engough for me. You know with which ball you are playing, why you need the name in replay mode?

If you read instructions in the docs folder m8.. its shows u everytin just use page up and page down on the keyboard to selct balls stadiums ect

Not every stadium has a preview pic in this pack

But don't forget this is not only my work, but Robbie's as well - he's written lots of new code in kitserver. Also, several people contributed to design (like Gwidon - with stadium ideas), testing and writing documentation in diff.languages. So it's really not a one-man project anymore, but a team work.
Ok, now it all sounds as a cliche, but the point is that i'd like people to recognize work done by other team members, not just myself.

Does this new version fix the subsitution glitch, which is when you subsitute a player and in the cutscene they show a whole different face on the players.

Yes, its fixed. They have right faces during substitute cutscene.

Added safety checks on map.txt. Most of the crashes were related to errors in map.txt (incorrectly spelled model files or textures). Now, the game shouldn't crash anymore even if you misspelled or put a wrong file in there. If ball server cannot find a texture of model file, or cannot uncompress it, then it will just ignore it and not show the preview.

Any chance you will be looking at the camera setting? As i said in another post it would be good to have the camera option angle allowed for every camera we have and not only for the ones SeaBass likes to play.....

Hi, i was wondering if someone could help me.
When I make a new kit using Paint Shop Pro, the kit shows up in the kit selection screen, but when i am playing the match the kit is invisible and I can see through the player's bodies. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, is there a way to fix it?

This is so strange, everything works and its really awesome :P but I cant change the balls... B, R, V, C... the keys dont do anything while in kit selection. What am I doing wrong?

with some video card, if you use kitserver with balls or kits in High Definition, the game can crash...

The game is scheduled for 256x256 pixels for balls, so if you use a pack in 512x512, perhaps, your GPU card crash the game...

Try with my balls pack (only in 256x256 format), i play less any problems with it...

It crashes during the opponents formation loading screen, just before match starts.

I also have a X800 (XT PE) and i have no crashes. Perhaps you have done a mistake with the maps for faces, stadiums etc or you have downloaded a wrong kit.

Can you help with my problem... My game crashes whenever I try to play with, subsitute or edit Shevchenko :boohoo:

Recopied the face and hair folder, different option file, different uni folder, even totally removed shevchenko and after that entire milan squad from map.txt but no luck at all.

How is this possible? If I start a match with shevva on the bench there is no problem but as soon as I try to bring him into the game, bang... the game crashes. Please help.

I just fixed the problem, shevchenko was on the map.txt in the hair folder but there was no shevchenko.bin in so I just removed him from the hair map.txt and all is well again.

There seems to be a small glitch with the cpu's subsitutions. Even If I select 3 subs, the cpu team usually only subsitutes 1 player a game. This never occured in the previous kitservers.

It's all working fine now I think, except one problem. If I select the default home/away kits for a team, then the ingame kit is fine. But when I start to mix parts, except I choose an orange shirt, blue short and blue socks for Holland, then ingame it is messed up, and I see some ugly white shirts... Same happens to Ajax, when I want blue shirts, white shorts and blue socks, then ingame it's an ugly home-kit.

What can I do? I'm using it with SP 3.0.

If you're around. I have a small issue. When I play a match with the LODMixer settings in-game I can't change the values.

For example, when I play a friendly, I have no subs, because the default is on 0.

Now I use a laptop and I don't have a the numerical keyboard. So when I press + and - I have to use shift and it doesn't work. Is that why I have this problem?

you must orientate your choice seeing some benchmarks...The choice depend also by how much you want spend...

However datum you have a Motherboard with AGP slot, you must see some comparatives with AGP graphics cards...

However for PES/WE on PC i reccomend you to see from geforce 6600 GT (AGP) to upward...

Datum you want to buy new card, i reccomend something upward, so your card's life will be more long with latest games...

ATTENTION!!!: when you change Graphic Card you must check also your power supply, because it's possible you also must change it...

Use only standard textures for the game...It's scheduled and tested by konami for their format, if you use balls, kits or other files with more definitions textures, the gameplay performances could be affected by some negative results (also the A.I. controll by Cpu could be affected) :ewan:

I have a bit of a problem. I'm using kitserver, Superpatch 3.0, and Andy's newest option file. It's great except for the double kits. I can't turn them off though, because everytime I enter the team edit mode the game crashes. What can I do to fix this?

LeagueServer is a nice idea indeed. It's been brought up a few times in the past also, but it's something that is very different from the rest of the things that kitserver does. I'm not saying it's impossible, but i honesty have no idea how long it would take to hack something like that. Depends a lot on how league/cup/ml mode is architected in PES5. If it's done well, than we might be able do it, but if it's not designed to be extensible, then a LeagueServer would be a constant nightmare, with crashes after crashes.

That being said, i wanted to do custom tournaments ever since PES3 came out on PC. Just thought i'd start with something simple - like a kitserver - to get some understanding of how PES is built. Well... that simple kitserver now grew into an application of considerable size and complexity. :) Still, a LeagueServer (together with TeamServer), would've been one of the best patches ever for PES... for me, at least.

can you write a little summary of how chants are organized in AFS (which afs file, and what the file numbers are)? If a stadium server technique can be used, then that shouldn't be hard to implement...

It would be GREAT! Since you also like the idea maybe you could give a look on it after your deserved vacations. Being able to add teams/leagues and create new competitions inside the game would be perfect but maybe it would be easier to have some external program doing it and loading an expanded OF... There's a guy who's trying to do something like that but he hasn't too much time to work on it.

ok i have a problem, a VERY STRANGE problem.

Ok so i have kitserver with balls faces stadiums etc. and everything was working perfect, great work everyone involved espectially Juce. Anyway i decided to rename the kitserver folder, i dont know why, i changed it to "kits balls and stadiums server" ok.

so i try to load the game and i get the crappy error report, pes5.exe has encountered a problem. so i think right ok the folder must have to be called "kitserver" so i change it back, BUT it still continues to crash even though it is called kitserver again. This is really caused much head scratching. i reinstalled kitserver, (extracted it and replaced files) but problem persists, i downloaded a new pes5.exe from gamecopyworld installed kitserver and i still get the error. I cant believe it is just a coincendence that this error occured when i renamed the kitserver folder. any ideas, im baffled!

Camera hack would be very nice and for me more important than faces, stadiums etc. It's one of the big point for the gameplay. I don't like fifa 06 but the wide camera there is very nice. Also the camara hacks for sensible soccer 2006 make the game much better and i hope you will find a way to change it.

The last thing I'd like to request is an option to change the referee's face and his kit.

On the one hand he is the person you see most often in close view on the other hand he often has the same kit color as one of the teams has...

I think juce will mantain the same folder structure of kitserver for PES5/WE9LE, but the main problem for juce, will be study the PES6.exe file to make it compatible with his kitserver...

ok i have a problem, a VERY STRANGE problem.

Ok so i have kitserver with balls faces stadiums etc. and everything was working perfect, great work everyone involved espectially Juce. Anyway i decided to rename the kitserver folder, i dont know why, i changed it to "kits balls and stadiums server" ok.

so i try to load the game and i get the crappy error report, pes5.exe has encountered a problem. so i think right ok the folder must have to be called "kitserver" so i change it back, BUT it still continues to crash even though it is called kitserver again. This is really caused much head scratching. i reinstalled kitserver, (extracted it and replaced files) but problem persists, i downloaded a new pes5.exe from gamecopyworld installed kitserver and i still get the error. I cant believe it is just a coincendence that this error occured when i renamed the kitserver folder. any ideas, im baffled!


well i found out what was wrong if anyone cares. It was a program i had installed called SpyCatcher. It was basically quarantining the kitsever dll files. Took me so long to find it because the files were not even listed in the program, but uninstalling and unraring kitserver to pro DIR again sorted problem out. Kitserver is Fecking amazing, and that doesnt do it justice. well done everyone who worked on it.

To be fair to SpyCatcher, i can see why it classifies kitserver as the spyware: it has a typical spyware "signature" to it - the very first thing that a process does is loading a DLL that loads a whole bunch of other DLLs, and then modifies the code section of the process in memory. That's a pretty damn suspicious activity all right!

all i can say for those who are concerned about kitserver being spyware: there is nothing of that sort in it. But you'll have to take my word for it ;) (One semi-proof is that it's not sending or receiving any information on the network, so it's harmless).

Yeah no problem mate. thought others might have the same issue. I was working 24 hours straight trying to figure it out. Other spyware programs might cause crashes too, not just spycatcher. So maybe you should put it in the troubleshooting faq

Try to substitute your 0_text.afs with the original one. It worked for me.
If you have a pathced 0_text some balls or stadiums would crash.

Try to substitute your 0_text.afs with the original one. It worked for me.
If you have a pathced 0_text some balls or stadiums would crash.

Yes you can.

The gloves go in the "ga" and "gb" folders, then you will see them in game. The fonts are specific to each team as they go in the different folders inside GDB\uni

Oh and the crash with patched afs could be a game bug. Kitserver is designed to function with a clean game. I suggest you use your original 0_text then just import the minimum updates, and use the rest with kitserver.
Thats what I do and it works fine for me. I use e_text from the Superpatch.

Make sure you typed everything right. You have to have the map.txt perfect with all the " and , and everything. Make sure you spelled it right.

You need to be more specific about what "not working" means.

Kitserver has nothing to do with the OF. You have to either dl a kitserver friendly OF. Or go into edit mode and reset all uniforms to default.

But if you play online, the game load nationals teams logos ON, because it use database directly from 0_text.asf and not from Option file...
For this problem, it would be necessary deactivate logos ON, directly into .EXE file or into 0_text.afs file...but what file and what bits of it, we have to change? This is the question...

Ok...for the change player option....

1. In kit selection screen, press PAGE DOWN until the LODMixer Options appear
2. Press "2" until the "Subs" option appears
3. Use the "+" and "-" keys to set the number of subs.

As for the crashing problem. When does it crash? What GDB are you using? Have you checked your map.txt file to make sure all the file names and paths are correct?

i updated my balls pack (256x256 format only) with others added balls...

it could happens, some balls of this pack produce a game's crash, although this pack is only in standard 256x256 format... It could depend by 3d structure of mdl file for certains balls and your video card...

I tested all the pack with my Nvidia Geforce 6800 ULTRA, and all the balls works perfectly, I hope they could works good also with yours PC's...

Guys im really sorry to bring this up again, cos i see alot of people have asked this..

But i downloaded the Online Roster Update so i could play online with updated transfers. However when i play now, half of the kits are ALL BLACK.

I saw people are saying to get kitserver 5.2.3 so i did this. I put it in my PES5 directory, clicked setup.exe and it said it was installed.

However, the kits are all still black! What am i meant to do with Kitserver to fix this problem? Even when i play offline, i dont have the new balls + kits etc that im meant to have..

Also, sometimes when i go to start PES5 it tells me theres no CD in my drive. It will do this either once or twice, then the next time it will load fine o_O.

Sorry, ignore my previous post. I have now sorted it. I downloaded a version of kitserver 5.2 that had the kits there already so i dont have to download them myself.

I have one question though, is there a kit patch released with the newest kits? Cos man utd still got vodafone, Chelsea still with samsung, Arsenal still got burgandy kits. Was just wondering if there is a release that has the most up to date kits.

You have to have it yellow to change it.

Using 1 or 2 to move to it, then + or - to change it. If that doesn't work, then I don't know.

OK..so the only solution is not to use lodmixer..

In lodmixer i use Konami Random/Seasonal, but when i play a league never never rains, and never obviously snow...why??

I have a question. I downloaded the Vennegoor Hesselink face made by Cigman and the files are named as Hesselink_face.bin and Hesselink_hair.bin.

Now is it possible to install that face using GGS and DKZ ? If yes then how ?

Extract the kitserver folder to the folder where you have your PES5.exe (i.e your Pro Evolution Soccer 5 folder ).Now run the setup.exe in the kitserver folder where it will detect your PES5.exe and then press the install button.

It wasn't a problem the no DVD for pes5 (for patches and kitserver update), now why for this game could be a problem?

If i have the original game i could use a no cd/no dvd to avoid discharge my original DVD or to avoid to insert it any time i want play the game...

i've installed superpatch 4 and kitserver. I've put all the required files in the GDB folder and reinstalled kitserver... on the kit selection screen I can only see the text 'kit selection [1/4]' which is part of the kitserver bit but I can't do anything. And I also have balls and stadiums in the GDB folder too.

What have I done wrong?

Juce, do you can fix stadium server? becouse "stad1_main.bin" bigger than 1mb (just "1.083.936 bytes" i mean bigger, not too more than 1mb, just a little) dont work and the game crash, but if the "stad1_main.bin" is inserted in 0_TEXT.afs then work fine. :boohoo:

yess.after uninstall.delete the old one.then paste kitserver5.23 into it.installed.
the kitserver i dl from the 1st post with no GDB.is it supposed to be tt or must it haf a GDB?

Did you delete your GDB with all the kits in it? The 1st post is just the program. You need a GDB to have the kits.

Yeah you could do that, or search around here and at Evo-Web and find a new one.

the current kitserver i m using now is 5.04 n the folder contents contains KDB.so if i wanna use kitserver 5.23,how am i goin to transfer the files as 5.23 uses GDB?also,wat other files do i need to put in my PES5 folder?

Well, remember that the new kitserver supports face/hair/stadiumserver as well as just kits, so I would definitely suggest you try to find a good GDB with all of those aspects in it and get even more enjoyment out of your game.

I suggest trying Superpatch as they have pretty much covered all that stuff. If you want great EPL data, try Watson's OF as it has the most accurate stats for EPL players

Juce, do you can fix stadium server? becouse "stad1_main.bin" bigger than 1mb (just "1.083.936 bytes" i mean bigger, not too more than 1mb, just a little) dont work and the game crash, but if the "stad1_main.bin" is inserted in 0_TEXT.afs then work fine. :boohoo:

Please, is a great limitation to make Rhino stadiums, fix that please :Bow:

hi was wondering if anyone can help, using superpatch 4, got all the files to work apart from balls and stadiums , get to kit selection and i can change the kits and games settings but not ball or stadium , tried pressing the buttons but just stays on game choice and doesn't change also its in grey if that means anything

err theres no kit folders in the doc folder its just some mask things in the previous kitserver there were kit folders none in this one but it all installed propery..go a solution?

People, I'm having trouble with stadium server...
I just don't know what's wrong! I use kitserver 5.2.3, the stadium.dll file is in kitserver folder...I have a "stadiums" folder with 3 stadium and the map.txt file...my kload file is like this:

ppl! i still have problems with the balls..,i try deleting all of the ball except adidas and modify the map.txt deleting all, except adidas... the game dont crash but, the ball isnt right! can you send me the evolution_ball_v2_final made by the evolution patch team!
