will the FIFA 07 textures be the same as FIFA 06 or WC06, for example will the kit template be the same or will it be a new one?

The kit template must be different from the Fifa 06 and also from the Fifa 06 WC template.
If you had a look at the adidas kits on the Fifa 07 screenshots, you can see that the 3 stripes on the sleeves have higher resolution than in the Fifa 06. (the stripes have sharp borders, but they are indistinct in the fifa 06)
And the template of the World Cup game doesn't contain long sleeves...
But I think, that the flags and the adboards won't change.

May be this is just an improvement in the 3-D object not the texture, but I still think the textures are the same.

yeah, looks like its a own part, so there will be less sleeves...thats what i have waited for a long time now, hope that's how it is...and hope we wont se a fvcking WC06 template, im gonna die then :p

Hmm...no help...only EA, i mean, they are extremely good as hell making promos and advertisement of a thing that will not be as they explain in the photos (god save photoshop they must to think when they put this nice blur on the stadium background, this shinny pics..hmm...seems HDR!! lol..).....so, nice 3D high poly render faces for the intros, count the polys, when they will can move that in a soccer game, call me, for the moment this kind of renders (not so detailed may be, but kinda of...) goes to FPS games...like Doom III, F.E.A.R, or Cryteck games, etc......

There´s 3 years passed, and they cannot arrange the kits, logos, and faces textures resolution, or the gameplay, it could be a bit different please??...pffff....Is strange that in other EA games all works awesome...NBA live for example...but, what the hell happends with FIFA???

Sure the graphics in NBA and NFL is nicer than FIFA, but on the other hand, FIFA have a lot more content than these games in terms of teams, players etc. I am not a game developer, but i think that making a soccer game is more complicated to make realistic and believable compared to a hockey game where the players just skate around.

So it may be a good thing that they concentrate on making the gameplay better instead of using a lot of energy on the graphics engine. - But then again, the gameplay havn't changed much over the last couple of years.

Well consider that in a football match you have 22 players and 3 officials that need to be detailed and animated, compared to the mere 10 in a hockey game (plus 3 officials) I would imagine the fewer players enables there to be greater detail on each individual model. Although in the case of Madden I believe the number of players is equal to football.

Yeah i agree. I don't know much about NFL, so lets just assume that the number of players is equal to a soccer match, but madden NFL dosen't pack nearly as many teams as fifa, so the developers of a NFL game must spend less time updating player transfers and player stats than the developers of a soccer game.

If FIFA only had 30 playable teams, i'm sure they would have a lot more time to improve the graphics.

For kits i think FIFA '07 will use the same kit mapping for '06 rather then the one from WC06. May only use the balls template from WC06. Got to wait for demo to confirm.
