Bought the game yesterday only to find that the EA "Matchmaker" service is not yet online. Is this correct? Has anyone been able to play fifa2001 using this medium?

cheers,
P.D.

"it's awesome! use the multiplayer icon within the game"

Hmmm...when i do the same it launches my browser. Then I am taken to an EA sports webpage that has 2 options: 1)matchup 2)purchase this product now. Selecting number 2 is right out of the question seeing as I have already purchased the product http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif Selecting number 1 gives the error message: javascript: doNothing();

Someone please help me as I am eager to be cannon fodder for all you veteran Fifa players http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/tongue.gif

when you click on modes and multiplayer.. and the options come up.. the first option is the one you want when you click it will launch your browser... and then you find someone to play and wait for it to load.. sometimes the black screen lasts a while

I am using IE 5.5
Here is the URL for the page that my browser "defaults" to when I click; modes, multiplayer. http://www.ea.com/rivals/games/mm_fifa01/home.jsp

Now please someone tell me where this goes?
I know this isn't brain surgery, but, it is rather frustrating to hear everyone talk about what a great multiplayer feature EA has given us when it doesn't seem to work properly http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/frown.gif
