Puzzle Games:
1) Lemmings (Classic)- ? (The challenge of helping those Lemmings)

I have really stayed in the line of Sports, Simulation, Strategy and War Games.

You don't ask for this but anyway.....I thought it would be fun to write about it...

The Joe Lemon Gaming Story: The first game I ever played was the Lemmings on a PC. There was some other weird alien game show game I remember playing. Then came SimCity, I have video of me playing it on the computer when I was about eight years old. I had SimAnt, SimCity 2000, SimCopter, SimFarm, SimTower (a lot of fun), SimTown, and SimThemePark (however it was called Theme Park by a partner of Maxis called Bullfrog). Me and my dad loved Doom and it's "awesome" graphics. I also got into aviation and the Flight Sim series with Flight Sim 5.0. Then when I got my new computer I went to Close Combat III and that series. A few months later I was hooked on Age of Empires: Rise of Rome and that series. I was always a soccer gaming fan on console and PC. Then on my in 99 I got Delta Force. Now I spend my free time playing UEFA Challenge, Delta Force Land Warrior, and The Sims: House Party.

Strategy can be only one game, Civilization II. It is simply brilliant, and the best game I have ever played. The graphics were great for its time, but suck now, but really don't matter at all.

Civ II (Microprose)

CIV II graphics were never good... They were just icons over map bitmaps... and of low quality, anyway.

'Grand Prix legends' 3 years old and counting... 50 odd add-on tracks and still being released on an almost daily basis. Dedicated server (VROC). IMO this is NOT a game for children as there is NO (thank god) 'arcade' element to allow junior to thrash all comers after 10 minutes of playing. A steep learning curve but well worth the effort.

Yeah. Nowadays, there are so much games that looks good but with poor gameplay. Nobody thinks of a good story to make a good adventure game anymore :(

Here are some "classic" games I had played 'till night..

FIFA 94 -- the REAL classic.. At the time it was frickin awesome...

Destruction Derby -- the first game released somewhere in 94-95. Woo it was awesome..

Premier Manager 99 -- the first soccer manager I ever played, mostly in summer of 99, 2 years ago... The game was not anywhere close to being perfect, and badly promoted, but I really loved it. It was better than FAPFLM 2000, that's for sure

FIFA 98 -- Never ran with Voodoo, but I spent A LOT of nights playing it.. I got the computer on summer of 98, and the whole August-September-October it was the only game I played.. With the easy "edit" option I created all Russian leagues and played (I simulated the lower divisions, though).. The Road to the World Cup I played a 1000 times, and later started taking teams like Faroe Islands, Estonia, Azerbaijan to the WC, instead of the beloved Russia... "Awesome game" is an understatement to the FIFA 98

Championship Manager 99/00 -- All CM games look the same as every game released is a sort of a patch to the earlier released version.. And this game I played DAYS AND NIGHTS in the Spring of 2000, a year ago.. I played lots and lots of seasons, started over, played with hexediting, etc., and this is one of the games I REALLY got addicted to.. Still miss those April nights..

Delta Force 2 The time I intensely played FIFA 99, which was the winter-spring of 99 (until my computer crashed with the stupid April 26th virus), this game was also frequently played... Was pretty realistic and challenging as you couldn't save during a mission (something that is very unlikely amongst action games). The new Delta Force version, the Land Warrior gives you the opportunity to save during missions, but when I play it I choose to save as less as possible..

Sim City 2000 -- This was the revolution in game-making..

Sim City 3000 -- A better game, also was awesome..

RollecCoaster Tycoon -- Get this game.. Hella addictive.. I bought it in the Summer of 99, and aftr playing it a little bit, I stopped.. But just recently I resumed, and now I understand that this will be a classic for a long time.. Just a good game..

Dune 2000 -- I actually liked this game.. It did not give out anything new as it looked a lot like Red Alert.. But still, I got addicted to it pretty quickly.. The bad thing is that the Dune 2000 CD was the one that had the CIH Virus which destroyed my computer.. ARRGGHH..

NHL 2001 -- I play it a lot, though I am a little dissapointed in it.. I hated NHL 99, it was aweful in my opinion, and this game looks a lot like it.. NHL 98 was not as bad, but had some unrealistic moves by players.. But if you avoided them, it was actually fine. NHL 2000 was actually pretty good, liked it..

SCTW: I know a little about OPeration Flashpoint, but not much.. Know only that it's a realistic action game, in mold of Delta Force, Hidden&Dangerous, Rainbow 6, etc.. But how is it? Is it as complicated as H&D? Is it as simple as Delta Force (don't confuse simple with easy, though. Simple is easy to understand, easy is not challenging)? Thanks..

Russian Rocket:

Delta Force series was good if you played it online. It is a lot of fun (I've played all of em online). I believe Operation Flashpoint is 100 percent better than DF in Single Player. You move with a whole squad and go to objectives, communicate, and fire, move, communicate, fire. It's a lot of fun.
