View Full Version : --->>> How the aimain.ini file works.......

Hi.
I've been working on the whole aimain.ini thing for a
while now and I've noticed that some coeficients can
make a big difference just by changing the value a
little bit. For instance: ball bounce, ball air
resistance, ball gravity. If for example you change
the ball bounce from 0.925 to 0.995 the ball will
bounce a lot more. That makes sense.

On the other hand I've found some other coeficients
which (from the experimets I've made) do not make a
difference at all when you change them. Example: ball
accuracy. You can put it at: 0, 0.09, 0.05, 0.20,
-0.20, -0.07, -10, -1000, 10, 1000 and shots will
always be sharp as sharp can be. You'd figure that by
changing it from -0.20 to -10000 the accuracy would
change (lets not say increase or decrease but
change)...well...... wrong, no difference at all.
Isn't that weird??
Here are some other coeficients that won't make a
difference, for me at least:
CPU_SHOOTING_LOGIC, CPU_ANGLE_LOGIC,
BALL_CONTROL_MULTIPLIER, BODY_BALANCE_MULTIPLIER,
SMOOTH_BLIP_MULTIPLIER, BODY_GRAVITY...among others...
What do they even do?...what's their purpose in the
aimain.ini file??....and why does the game stay
exactly the same when you change them from 0 to 10000
or -10000 (dramatic difference)????

If you have the answer for some of these or at least
can help me out with something.....please help me.....
Im trying to get the shoots accuracy dramatically down
and I can't.......
Please help me if you can...

the ones you mentioned that did change anything in game arent in the original aimain.ini file so wont affect anything.
these are the original parameters:

// aimain.ini

MAX_BALL_VELOCITY_XZ
MAX_BALL_VELOCITY_Y
BALL_AIR_RESISTANCE_XZ
BALL_AIR_RESISTANCE_Y
BALL_GRAVITY
BALL_BOUNCE_COEFF_XZ
BALL_BOUNCE_COEFF_Y
BALL_ROLLING_COEFF_Y
OFFSIDE_TRAP_CANCEL_DIST
OFFSIDE_TRAP_CANCEL_TIME
OFFSIDE_TRAP_MARGIN
LOB_PEAK_RATIO
CROSS_PEAK_RATIO
RAINBOW_HEIGHT
RAINBOW_DISTANCE
SMOOTH_BLIP_MULTIPLIER
TACKLE_BLIP_MULTIPLIER

Is that so??... then I havce a few things to say:

1) Why 4 out of every 5 gameplay patches (aimain.ini) outthere have tons of coeficients if they do not mean anything,????

2) I suppose there's nothing we can do about shooting accuracy. Shots will always be amazingly sharp.

3) Are you sure none of the other coeficients do anything???... a lot of patches have them...or thei0're just making them up??...that's weird if it's true.

im just going by what EA said, which is that other will make no difference to gameplay, and i dont see what they have to gain from telling us that if they really can be modified (but then EA do some strange stuff sometimes)
i also tested it out by using a d/l aimain for a few game and then deleting all the new parameters and playing the game again and its just the same...
and think about it, when you change a factor form 0 to 1000 there will be an change in game if it works wont there? :p

cause it's a sort of commercial bull****, cause everyone thinks that when an ai.main file they have downloaded has 100's of different parameters, then it's a really good patch....trust me i have tested several different of those ai-main patches with fake lines, and they didn't do ****.....just stick with the original ai file, and experiment with that...... ;)

A commercial thing...??
Well I think it might not be true becuase when you change ball_bounce from 0.925 to 0.995 the ball bounces a LOT more, with a little change.
But when you chance ball_accuracy (fake coeficient) from -0.50 to -100000 nothing happens, no difference.
I don't think it's commercial though since nobody is getting any money from making aimain.ini files....or not???

Still, does anyone know how to turn accuracy down from those basic coeficients???? Not only make the keeper block more but also shoot the ball wide at the target...

And one more... what should I change to make the keeper block (bounce of his hands) more instead of grabbing the ball (catching it)...???

Later guys...
