I'm having a problem playing 2001. when playing the game some times hangs and other times goes back to windows.
I'm using w98 and G200 video card.

Can someone please help me ?

well my own experience was that it was due to directx 8 if you installed it. If so then you must reinstall your whole system. If you dont no how to do this or cant for what ever reason i suggest waiting for the next directx when microsoft finally fix the damn thing.

WARNING DONT INSTALL IT IF YOUR GFX CARD IS OLDER THAN ! 1 YEAR IT BUGGERS IT UP
