View Full Version : IGN Fifa 07 interview deano8 17-08-2006, 09:41:AM Here is the link: http://cube.ign.com/articles/725/725508p1.html It says some interesting things about crossing the ball and online and more. nickclubman 17-08-2006, 02:45:PM Old news mate, but thanks anyway. Read through it again haha. The crossing sounds like fun, having to fight for the space to get on the end of it. Jostling and what not. I hope we can foul by jostling too much, in some cases the 'next level' would be to have too much jostling, the referee blow his whistle and sort out the 'angry couple' haha. Nick. portofan61 17-08-2006, 03:03:PM I feel like I get hyped up for this every year, but for some reason, I think this year's title will be a significant improvement. I'm glad they have a new producer, that Danny Isaac guy was getting on my nerves. Plus, this guy came from Ubisoft, and they have a history of making great game franchises (Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Rainbow 6)... hopefully this guy is bringing something new to the table. Can't wait for the 360 version, hope it comes out this year! nickclubman 17-08-2006, 03:24:PM Danny Isaac wasn't up to par with what the fans wanted. The gameplay he dished out was much too much arcade for our liking. Joe Booth sounds like he is actually wanting a Simulation football game, whereas if I am not mistaken, Isaac in an interview said he didn't want a full Simulation, he wanted people to be able to just pick it up and play it. But that is wrong as you can do that with PES on 1 or 2 stars, even 3. But for FIFA you could just go straight into World Class mode with basic controls and win. FIFA 07 seems like a turn-around. Nick. farmboy 18-08-2006, 05:28:PM yah, and you also forgot to mention how ubisoft is also notorious for attempting to destroy their franchises (refering to the ones you specifically mentioned; R6 has been completely killed with lockdown and Ghost Recon 2 is the illigitimate child of tactical shooters that got swept under the rug because of its badness). ronaldo9 18-08-2006, 06:49:PM totally agree with u nick, simulation gives the deepth of gameplay, that keeps u play for many months & months to descover new things, to master the way u want, how u want to play the game, arcade is easy to pick up and play, but it gets bored to quick as it doesn't have gameplay deepth thats exactly what happent with my past fifas, it was always great to play the new version at the beganing, after 8 games u play it, start to get repetitiv and boring, thanks to danny isaack for produsing a game that u hardly played for more then 2 weeks. that what made pes series so famos simply by the gameplay varieties, wich make the game les repetitiv + time to master. i hope fifa 2007 goes to the right direction especially in the new generation xbox360, with the new produser joe booth :hump: The Don't 18-08-2006, 07:24:PM Old news mate, but thanks anyway. You're at it again with the inverted commas... portofan61 18-08-2006, 08:46:PM In response to farmboy: the new rainbow six, las vegas looks fantastic, as does the new Splinter Cell. Never been a huge fan of Ghost Recon in the first place. But I digress.... I just thought I'd share the following. On the EA Trax article on IGN, it said: All versions of FIFA (http://www.soccergaming.tv/#) 07 - that's for DS, GBA, GC, PS2 (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/726/726498p1.html#), PSP, Xbox, Xbox 360, PC (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/726/726498p1.html#) and mobile - are set to hit European shelves on September 29. The full tracklisting can be scrutinised below. So it appears that the xbox 360 version should be released along with the current gen consoles, for anyone who was wondering. |
