I can't see any team beating Barcelona right but I've gotta have faith. 1-2 Sevilla. Eto'o will score in the first half but Sevilla will come back with goals from Chevanton and Dani Alves.

IMO the best line-up would be: V.Valdés; Zambrotta, Thuram/Márquez, Puyol, Sylvinho; Edmilson, Xavi, Deco; Messi, Eto'o, Ronaldinho.

I don't want to see Rafa nor Thuram on the bench. I think Marquez has earned his status by now, and Thuram simply amazed me with his calm performances. He's so stable, the strongest player on the field. He gives me a different feeling about our defense. I don't think Edmilson is a must in the starting line-up.

Now Sylvinho has done a great pre-season and he's in much better form. I have no doubt, he deserves to play over Gio.

Between Márquez and Thuram I have no preference.

I don't think we need to move Márquez to the midfield since that position is well covered. Last season Edmilson did a great job and he's more used to that position.

We'll have some great players on the bench in every game. This situation will be normal all the season.

Sorry, I was careless and thought that Friday was the 25th. It's corrected now.

Valencia and Betis play the opening match of the league on Saturday, so that's probably what they're showing on GolTV. Barcelona and Sevilla will begin their seasons on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, due to the Super Cup.

I rate Rafa a better DM than Edmilson. Rafa has better passing, better understanding with the team (since he played much more) and is a better crosser and free kick taker. I see no reason to choose Edmilson over him.

I don't think their natural positions matter, because Rafa is as good as converted. I think in our system, DMs have to be creative, and Rafa is more creative than Edmilson.

I think the line-up overall is better if both Rafa and Thuram play.

Credit to Sevilla for making Barcelona look an extremely average team. Barca played as if they didn't care, but I suppose it's better they did that now rahter in a match that is vital.

I won't take anything away from their win. Motivation wouldn't have helped us much against this Sevilla. They were superior in everything.

I expected us to take this one. I knew it was gonna be a challenge, but I was still 300% sure we were winners... this happened because of the Barcelonismo arrogance. I was arrogant enough to discard Sevilla before the match, and the players were arrogant enough to think they would be handed the trophy by Sevilla. We were given a lesson tonight and I'm glad it happened. This will show us, and the whole world as well, that Barcelona aren't unbeatable and it will both keep the players on their toes and the opposition confident enough to challenge us and keep us concentrated. I think we needed something like this.

Having said that, being in the group of death may be a good thing after all. At least one thing is certain - we won't be relaxing.

Also, it's good that this happened in a game I didn't care much about, and it was before the start of the league. This will make the team extra motivated for Vigo.
