Pointless really, I guess you could say graphics are a slight improvement.

To be honest, there is NOTHING next-gen about this. Gameplay looks almost exactly the same as the PS2.

But at least the crowd look pleasing. :p

kind of disappointing, in my opinion. when will they overhaul the presentation? what's up with those adriano and john terry shots i saw a few months ago? if it looked anything like that then it would be impressive.

To me it looks like 1/3rd more the animation frames than current gen versions,and really when all is said and done,that is the key to the success of we/pes in that it opens up far more variables in game play.
Where as FIFA always felt more "scripted" of the two.

Hmmmm, many of the dribbling animations look very FIFAish in this version..........

PS2 port, gotta love it. Worst part is that I bet it wont be region free so other Americans like me will be waiting until sometime in 2007 for our fecking verion of this high res PS2 game. :rolleyes:

Can someone settle a arguement I had , pes6 even though its coming out on the 360 is not a next gen game ..

someone said it was and that it was different from the PS2 game and that the 360's game engine was started from scratch and its nextgen ..

I said it was the same as the ps2 and only the graphic were NG and that the real or 1st next gen PES game will not come out until next year when it will be a game made from scratch for the PS3 and the 360 ...

The trailer is the 360 version. The screenshots and gameplay video is from the PC version of the game. That is (indeed) an upgraded PS2 version.

Trust me, the 360 version looks nice and also plays a littlebit different than the PS2 and PC version!

Keepers are much better now and the animations are even more stunning!

I've seen many games on xbox live now.. and PS3 better be the best console.

I can't believe that Konami would be making their first next gen PES game for the XBOX360, leaving the Japanese market aside. The XBOX360 doesn't sell good in Japan, so this strategy can mean 2 things: Konami is pushing japanese players to buy a XBOX360 or the PES6 for XBOX360 is just a visual upgraded PS2 version and the real next gen PES/WE will be for PS3. (PES7/WE11!)

I sure hope it is the second, since I am not really impressed about the "Nexgenishness" with what I saw untill now.

Who gives a flying crap about the PS3? The dang thing isn't even out yet! Who cares if potentially it may have a little more procesing power? It's so far behind the XBox360 in terms of software development that it will never matter because the first year of titles for any new machine are basically ports and not true next-gen games anyway.

The next PS3 v 360 post should be deleted by the moderators because it's getting boring as crap. What we should be concentrating is what's on offer here, that is PES6 on the 360 not some unspecified release of a game on a, as yet unreleased, console.

I am neutral to the debate since I only own a pc, but playing at some friend's house with p2 and xbox I can say two things:

Xbox games are better
Xbox live rocks

So if u are a grown up person u go for 360, if u are a teen ager u go for p3. And for my nephew i'll buy a wii: The person u are the console u buy. Easy lads, it is just a game.........

Yeah, PES7 is when we can expect a real next-gen experience. Xbox 360 is just a port of the PS2 version by the looks of things, with the obvious graphical difference.

And the graphics look polished but they don't look realistic at all. Body models look like zombies.

PS3 will be a complete multimedia machine. No one really needs that, especially at over £400. Tho it's debatable that the PS3 is somewhat of a bargain considering that it's got an in-built blu ray player, and they alone costs 800+ pounds. Another financial downside is that with the Playstation 3, one must have a HD TV for it to work. I'm guessing that come this christmas, the xbox 360 will be the bargain.

The premium pack costs approximately £270 now, which, by then, i'm sure will be at least £30 cheaper. A lot comes in the premium pack as well, including an xbox live gold 30 day trial and full xbox live silver subscription (don't know the difference) and even a headset for xbox live. Sony have also cancelled or persponed several game titles that were scheduled for release between the launch date of the console and christmas. However, these will feature on the 360 as planned. Also, as soon as blu-ray's rival HD-DVDs are released, the firmware upgrade for the 360 will make it compatible.

So i've decided to get one this christmas. The spec is barely different between the two and controls/controllers too. Microsoft just have letters in place of Sony's symbols. But i'm sure the ps3's motion sensitive controller promises to be a thrill. Well, u know, sh*t happens. Anyway, for you loyal computer-gamers, i'm sure that HD gaming will be introduced to PCs sooner rather than later.

Cant tell much from watching vids. Gotta play it to FEEL the new differences. Graphics will look better on your home TV, new animations and other features will surely make it a better game. Better than FIFA at least.
