If you have played WE10 on PS2, which I actually own, you can tell it is a much, much better game than PES5.

im sure NEXTGEN games are well capable of 360 degree movement just like how NBA LIVE 07 will be moved up frm 8 to 360 degrees from PS2 to PS3

how would you make next gen. AI? It's not like graphic that you just make it look nicer with stronger machine. If you don't get it right, it's hard to get it. Take fifa for example.

Of course a top end PC could produce better visuals then a 360. The difference in the price of both systems is massive. But the hardware you have is pointless if the developer doesn't utilise it. Running a current gen looking game on a top end PC won't make it look next gen.

Personally I hope that the PC version is a port of the 360 game (even though I have a 360 anyway), but I seriously doubt it. The PC version of PES never really gets much attention, its usually a quick port to make quick money. So its likely it will just be a port of the PS2 version again.

Hmm i'll be pissed off to say the least if PES6 is just PES 5 with updated teams.

PES6 is not gonna be just PES5 with updated rosters. It will have lots of gameplay changes and (hopefully) improvements. I've heard that auto-sidestepping will be gone and that there will be crowds in all camera views. The whistles will decrease and so on. PES5 was, I thought, a big change over PES4. Bigger than the change from PES3 to 4. PES6 only really requires refinement not anything major. For PES7 though I want some major changes beyond just better graphics. User adjustable camera would be nice...

Graphically on the PS2 PES6 is not going to look a whole lot different from PES5 naturally cause the console has pretty much been maxed out but there will be some nice new animations. I don't know for sure but I'm pretty sure the PC and PS2 versions will be identical graphically. The 360 version is the showpiece for Konami to show off some better graphics whereas if they do that with the PC this year the system requirements would go up and would likely decrease sales. It sucks but I bet thats Konami's rationale...maybe I'm wrong.

Yes, you would need a decent pc to run it on the high setting, so if you don't have a decent pc then you can scale down the graphics to suit your spec of pc.

So long as it aint as bad as the ****e way the players controlled the ball in PES5 ill be happy! every time your player got control of the ball they went all stiff and you felt like you werent in control and the ball seems like its always bouncing off and away from your players and the turning of the players was sooo sloow and bollocks it was untrue at times. why is this considered cheap? Yes it is an easy goal, because lots of people cant defend against it. My advice to them is: Learn to defend!

They're all saving their announcements and news for X06 and tgs, just wait a few days more and we'll get some good info. As I haven't seen this posted around, maybe you should be aware that a tottaly different game is currently being developed for ps3 with unknown yet title, and as far as I could understand it will be their first real next gen move for the series.

Assuming they have solved lag and other minor pes5 issues it'll be an ok release though.

I don't think Seabass referred to crossed, I think he meant when a player goes down the wing close to the box, then it makes a 360 and pass an easy low ball to the midfilders who shoots within the box.
Actually headers all not so easy altogether in PES5.

I agree, the thing in pes5 is and some people use this well is when u are near the box and pass in the middle defenders just miss the ball and I'm talking about canavaro and other best in the game

Still haven't got info confirming whether or not Juve and/or Arsenal will be licensed. Juve should be selectable via the 'others' section. EA have the rights to the entire Premiership and Bundesliga, so Konami have had to secure deals with individual clubs.

Eredivise, Ligue 1, Serie A and La Liga are all licensed.

Also the Japan NT is licensed as always! :)

Its been a case in the past of Konami not really living up to the standards of supplying PC users the same way they do to console users. However, I am certain the Playstation demo will be ready next week.

The PC one so far is a mystery - hopefully it will be the same as the console versions. Or at least I hope.

As for the Xbox360 version, I thought the graphics were not really a huge improvement and the gameplay is as good as always. Its slightly smoother and has a better looking refresh rate than the choppy PS2 version, but there is really nothing to seperate the two gens right now.

I have seen PC CD-Rom mentioned as well as DVD.

I think after comments last year from people unable to load the game due to not having a DVD-Rom drive and it being solely 100% DVD compatiable, it may well be produced as a 3 disc package as well.

I don't think they will sell only 3 disc packages though. It would seem odd for them not to sell a DVD version for PC users.

The marketing crap we got from Konami this year did state that it will come out on Xbox360, PS2, PC-DVD, PSP and Nintentdo DS.

Anyone Knows about LAN MODE of the pes 6???? Any news?

As for the Xbox360 version, I thought the graphics were not really a huge improvement and the gameplay is as good as always. Its slightly smoother and has a better looking refresh rate than the choppy PS2 version, but there is really nothing to seperate the two gens right now

The differences between the two versions look obvious from those pics on the last page. The PS2 versions looks totally flat, no noticable lighting at all and muddy textures. The 360 version looks alive with advanced lighting and has very crisp textures. Unfortunately the player models are not zoomed in enough on the 360 version to be able to evaluate them, but I'd be suprised if they weren't made up of significantly more polygons then in the PS2 version.

I've heard some rumors that there will be no demo and that the game will be out october 27th... :nape:

many expected a demo during the X06 Barcelona. Though it didnt come, so changes a great there will be no demo at all :nape:

Sad to say it, but I don't think it's going to be next gen on pc. After some research I discovered this. When you go to the press announcement on the konami site and click on the xbox360 logo you can click some screens, these are next gen:

When you click on the windows (pc) logo you can also click soms screens, but these are plain ugly ps2 port screens, so I don't thing it's going to be the next gen game for pc we've all been hoping for...
