Now we can actually see the gameplay properly. To be honest, everything looks really smooth...but it doesn't look that different from the way it plays on current-gen.

Just as you comment on NK and biggy about being excited about the limited footage of 07, you sir are also quick to judge 07 with limited evidence as well!

Yes the net doesn't bulge, hopefully it's only because this is a demo version that is not complete yet (still 3 more months until it goes gold), same goes for graphics and textures, they are the last things to be finished in a game (want an example? how about the screens of PES6 360 where it shows the Czech Republic against France, did you see the pitch texture? It was crap, If you look at the demo pics from Leipzig the pitch was redone as it is a later build ...same thing will happen with 07)

I guess it comes down to the fact if you really like football and are excited like me about the prospect of playing 2 good footy games on the 360 this year, or you are just a fanboy wanting to piss in people's Cheerios...up to you mate :nape:

Played my PES5 again today and must say it annoyed the hell out of me, the players' are so unresponsive and turn like they're in slow motion, bullsh!t to body-weight, Konami are just trying to make the game difficult by making controlling players' a bit OTT in speeds and balance.

I think the footage proves the gameplay has improved ten fold. The animation looks very realistic, I don't see any 'ice skating', I see realistic movement. Plus, this isn't final code and by way some nets are very hard and tight, so when the ball connects with the back of the net, it almost reacts as a spring and the ball is pushed back out and the net doesn't move much. This is still realistic because some nets in many stadiums are like that and you never know, next-gen might have both wavey and tighter nets...but either way I don't care about that. If the game feels realistic then scoring goals and playing the game will be very rewarding. PES5 doesn't reward me anymore, I just feel angered when I score after the CPU has fouled me 20 times and got not a single booking.

Have to disagree NK, the netting did not move AT ALL. I think it is not the final code of course and that the demo was really just to show the player movement and ball physics so they didn't touch on the nets

BTW, If in fact the ball is totally seperate from the player, that means if you kick it ahead, you will not have to chase after it if you don't want you, and that could result in some cool fake moves like nutmegs and runarounds and such. The ball would only come under player control if you were in close vicinity to the ball.

Another thing, that vid shows Ronaldinho and if in fact attributes are accurate, he will have the best ball control in the game and make it look like the ball is still sticking to him compared to weaker players....they should have had a demo with Landon Donovan..the ball would always get away from him :)

I'm making my judgement purely on what i've seen so far! And yes i'd love to have 2 great footie games also, but EA's track record isn't exactly great!

Remember the nets from 2003 - 2006, they still haven't fixed it!

You lot just get too excited, only to be let down year after year by false promises!

So your left with Nick having to do gameplay updates so your not bored of it after a week!

The demo will tell us what to expect!

If it's crap then I won't be buying it, but if it's a marked improvement then I will hold my hands up!

ok ok no more of this pllleeeaaassse! I am sure you guys are either waiting for FIFA 07, PES6 or both! And I will play both and of course wait anxiously for FIFA 07 360.

I am excited about playing the game, that's all...like many others. So lets just leave it there and enjoy the footage and previews, interviews and what not. No point in starting an argument. :)

Indeed, both games will offer something different.

And SlowSilver, I believe if the kit is wrong in one screenshot and perfect in another, then the one in which it is perfect will be the most recent. EA wouldn't develop a game where the kits are correct and by the time they release it, they're all wrong hehe. But yeah it's odd how a batch of screens will be released together, then some will have different kits, boots, etc. Guess not all from the same/current build :)
