When I have started a season or a tournament and play 2 games and try a third, it crashes poof, and goes out into window in the 640*480 mode... i read some stuff due to the VIA motherboard it crashes the readme says...

if the problem is related to VIA chipset u can try download the Via 4 in 1 software,it realy solves many problems and not only for fifa 2001..

here is another thing that may help u,
right click on my computer and then properties and then performance tab,press on Graphics then move the slider to the left(try to use various settings)....
and see if this solve the problem......

I tried it and didnt work, very wierd this...
only difference was that it crashed back to 800*600 and not 640*480 as usual lol.
another thing is this white screen i get when loading between the menus. which is said to occur by geforce or something and detonator 3 should fix *not* could be something with that stuff uh love problems

Hum, I think you have a warez copy of Fifa 2001 because I have got the same problem. After two matches, I return to windows. You better buy the original and your crashes will be a bad nightmare. If you have the original, I don't why Fifa 2001 doesn't run very well.

ok maybe got something that might work we shall see... read some forums and seems many others have this problem and they fix it through adding the speech and announcer addon... shall give it a try myself and see if it works.
