Looks like another one of us Americans has seen fit to give a FIFA game a 9 out of 10. Ack.

My favorite line from this review is a caption to one of the screenshots: "A nice option is the ability to adjust your team's strategic formations."

Oh boy, that does sound nice!!!

I love SACCER. It's like hockey but it's played on a field, and you use a ball not a puck. I hear this game has an official license - wow what a great feature, even though I couldn't name more than 2 real players. It even has tactics - wow! Do I know anything about tactics?

Man, I CAN'T WAIT for Chris Carle's review of Fifa 2001 at IGN. 'It's the best saaaccer game ever! Unlike the unrealistic ISS you can now only score 5 different types of goals in Fifa 2001 - just like real life!' Or maybe, since it's less pinball like than Fifa 2000, Chris Carle might dock some marks;
'Not nearly fast enough, and the scores were way too low - 5-5, what the heck was that? I love me some footy. 9.98/10!'

I think it hurts ISS the most because it's not 'really' on the PC (unless you use an emulator). People don't want to even TRY it if it's not on the PC, and on the console all of the major North American videogame sites give Fifa amazing reviews because a)they don't know anything about football
and
b)they only play the games for a few hours and then go back to some other game
