View Full Version : PS2 or 360?
mcdonry 05-09-2006, 07:38:AM Less than a month out from the release of FIFA 07 and my f***en PS2 dies and my memory card is unable to load data or saver data. :f***:
I am deciding wether to by another PS2 around $200 (Aussie Dollars) or spend $600 on a 360?
I am very eager to play Fifa 07 and dont think i could wait another 2 or 3 months or however long it is for it to be released on 360. Because it is the first Fifa with next gen is it worth getting a 360 just for that because it could have lots of problems and it usually takes a few years to get it right even though they still havent got it right on current gen, several years later.
What Should i do? :nape:
SlowSilver 05-09-2006, 09:33:AM I would get a 360, the PS2 is outdated and games will stop coming out very soon for that platform. 360 is the way to go. :)
Dan the monkey 05-09-2006, 10:02:AM How much is 200 dollars? You can get PS2's verrrrrrry cheap in the UK now. But like SlowSilver said go for the Xbox360.
mcdonry 05-09-2006, 10:09:AM They are about $200 dollars in Australia and about 95 pounds in England
There's no thinkin on that imo, 360. Play it in a monitor or an hdtv and be sure, there's no going back.
mcdonry 05-09-2006, 10:39:AM The only thing that is worying me is the price. I have enough but i dont have enough income so i dont want to go broke. Also i have got year 12 exams during october so i dont want be distracted. Whats the release date for it on 360?
Sometime like October 20 for Europe, not sure about Canada though. The distruction thing is irrelevant, you'll either spend some time on ps2 or 360 or not, although i'll agree 360 will tempt you morefor extra time :D
Maybe wait till October and get both the game and 360 then.
johan 05-09-2006, 02:21:PM I'd buy 360..obvious choice.. spend more money..you get a killer console.
saturator 05-09-2006, 07:19:PM I'll buy both :rockman:
vrobec 05-09-2006, 08:07:PM Definitely go for X360! :jap:
MikeyM 05-09-2006, 08:17:PM Go for the X360 - But don't decide on the strength of one game. The X360 is now about to get the line up of games that it should have had (barring the odd gem in MSR3, Madden 06 etc) I got one in January and the only games I've played on it that are a significant step up are WC2006, MSR3, DOA and NBA2006. Though as I said there are now (and will continue to be) a huge range of excellent games for the X360.

ausbarca 05-09-2006, 09:17:PM 360 all the way
UglyBob 05-09-2006, 09:20:PM 360 all the way
Agreed, whats the point of buying out of date technology?
mcdonry 05-09-2006, 10:51:PM Yeah 360 sounds like the way to go. :)

valioso 06-09-2006, 02:03:AM I havent had any melted disks, or any scratch disk problems with mine
sa33ood 06-09-2006, 04:13:AM Neither me! Some people over react on the heat of Xbox 360. For the love of god, it is a POWER machine! it is nothing like PS2 or Xbox (old), treat it well and you'll have it with you for a long long time. :hump:
mcdonry 09-09-2006, 05:11:AM I called up a game shop so i could sell my PS2 stuff which includes
2 controllers
2 memory cards
20 games
DVD Remote
Total estimation of that that i spent was around $2600 in Australia thats in cluding my broken console. They said they could give me about $100... F**K OFF. :f***: :f***: :hit:

TristanAbbott7 09-09-2006, 06:45:AM I've had a 360 since 2 weeks after launch and I've ahd zero problems or crashes so far.
Mine was bought on launch date and had no problems whatsoever. I used to be a Sony user but now I very much doubt I'll get a PS3 for at least a long time after it's release. Anyway, on topic, this debate now has to take into account the difference between fifa07 for ps2 which have had a 9/10 in uk ps magazine and has ALL teams that should be in and the 360 version, which is yet to be reveiled actually with it's new game engine and the 156 teams... that's ofcourse a matter just for ppl like me that spend 90% of their gaming hours in a soccer game and their first choice of team is not one from the included leagues :D
Otherwise, no need to discuss it.
djdavedoc 12-09-2006, 11:33:AM Melts the disc lol thats the most hilarious Xbox 360 lie ive ever heard.....
What do you think is inside the DVD Drive a Furnace!!?
