Processor – 1.3 GHz or faster (hoping it will work with 800 MHz...:()
Memory - 256MB RAM
Hard Drive – 4 GB
DVD Drive - 8x SPEED
Video Card - 64MB*
Sound Card - DirectX 9.0c compatible
DirectX - Version 9.0c
LAN – TCP/IP Compliant; 2 Players
Online Multiplayer – 512 Kbps or faster; 2 Players
Single System Multiplayer – 2-8 Players
Input - Keyboard, Mouse or dual analogue gamepad

*Supported chipsets: NVIDIA GeForce3 or greater (GeForce MX series not supported); ATI Radeon 7500 or greater; Intel 915, 945/950. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported. DirectX 9.0c is included on this disc and may require the latest drivers for your video and sound card.
Notice: This game contains technology intended to prevent copying that may conflict with some DVD-ROM, DVD-RW and virtual drives.

I feel bad for anyone who doesn't have a DVD ROM drive. What was EA's reason for using a DVD ROM this year for PC?

simple information storage reasoning:

DVD - 1 disc
CD - multiple discs

they're just keeping up with technology ...

well you can pick up a great DVD 16x burner for less than $30 these days, so there is really no reason to not have a DVD player...

these requirements are behind the times for even current gen PC games as even my windows based PC is out dated

Intel Pentium 4 630 (3.0ghz 64bit)
1GB PC3200 RAM
Sapphire radeon x800XL 256MB
