Hope Boca will beat Bayern, just like they did last year, with Real M.

Even though Cruz Azul didn't win, I believe that they should have earned some respect for what they were able to accomplish. Once again, Mexico goes down in penalties. I think that Mexico or any Mexican team will never win anything if it goes dwon to penalties. Congrats to Boca and good luck against Bayern Munich.

Actually Ned I live in the United States now but when I was in Argentina I would see BOCA.
That stadium is amazing has the best acoustics in the world everyone singing at the top of their lungs. Even Diego Maradona sings like a lunatic fan in his private box. It's very loud and when you are standing up in the grades you feel like you at a 45 degree angle about to fall to the field. The way the stadium is built it looks like an opened Bon bon box..(name Bombonera) and it is very intimidating for visiting teams, they feel like the public are breathing down their neck. The stadium trembles like a heart beat.. thum thum. Definately looney fans that play a factor in the game, hence the name of the Boca fans (la 12) like the 12th player. Anyways absolutely amazing! I recommend the experience just make sure to yell GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL when BOCA scores and not the rival team. Ha Ha Ha.

:D

Nice going there, well, at least you have experienced the Bombonera atmosphere, the closest i have come is by watching there matches on tv, i watched the April match v River Plate and i could almost feel the adrenalin being pumped out by the fans, the flags, banners, noise was how it should be in those games, then well into the game Ibarra scored a screamer of a gaol from just outside the box, and then Boca carved em up and ended with a 3-0 win ..'Nice' .. and if you havn't already seen this great pic of Riquelme with his 'Boca Beanie' hat on, plus the Cup, you can view it by visiting this venue ...Ned

Yeah, but what Cruz Azul did in this Libertadore was something short of epic, if not epic. They took down two Argentine giants, Rosario Central and River Plate. They beat all of them once, and then like 6 of the squad show up on Sunday for Mexico and help them end a disastrous run in el Azteca against the U.S. Hats off to Boca for defeating a team like Cruz Azul, at their best moment!! Now it's off to Tokyo to once again show that Latin American clubs are on the level of European ones.
