View Full Version : What we know about the demo/game so far:

Ok: I had the brilliant idea of downloading the PS2 demo although I don't have a PS2 atm... just so I could mess about with the files.

I counted 55 boots including the Referee boots.

The Teams for the demo are:
Manchester United
Werder Bremen
Milan
Olympique Lyonnais
F.C. Barcelona
Guadalajara

All playing in the Emirates Stadium, although Arsenal isn't in the demo!

I don't know who the hell Jonathan Veasey is, and I can't be bothered to investigate, but he is the Referee on the demo. I saw Ruud van Nistelrooy listed as being at Man U, so we may not be able to count on all the latest roster changes.

The file format for faces, kits and boots are *.ssh instead of the fsh files I am accustomed to, but I suppose that is because of the PS2 format, so I am unable to say what template changes there are. I suspect though, that since I have been so enterprising as to search out all this info, the PC demo will probably be out tomorrow morning, and make all my effort meaningless.

Cheers! :ewan:

Yeah .ssh is the PS2 format, I once tried looking at the files on my fifa05 game and they were all .ssh there was a guy who was working on trying to convert the files to .fsh but he didn't really get anywhere.

New Teams?

Dinamo Moskva
CSKA Moskva
Sigma Olomouc
Maccabi Haifa
Lokomotiv Moskva
Club Atlético Peñarol
Atlético Nacional Medellín
CD América de Cali
Club Nacional de Futbol

Japan, Korea & Ecuador are three national teams that caught my eyes as I looked through the database as well, but there's no telling what the finished product will have.

I know who the new teams are but I am not allowed to say, I think some of those stadiums however have just been left in the list and doesn't mean they will be there just too lazy to delete, hopefully I am wrong aboutthis though.

he has some more info than us, evidently

btw, maybe for PC this features would change, to better, i hope, taking in consideration the possibility of a hard drive, that ps2 does not have... just as in xbox360 the number of teams is shorter

Curswine knows which new teams will be added to the game, but he is not allowed to say. As to the Stadia, they sometimes have a list of those that they intend to add to the game but they don't all make it... but they generally don't bother to remove the info from the db files, just incase they use those stadiums at a later date, I suppose...

Ah well... 55 boots is a big plus from my point of view... and the fact that the db file is editable using DB Master, I can start creating my favourite teams from now... :D

The Create-A-Team feature complete with crest shapes and colours etc. looks to be a promising feature though.

So, there's the new Emirates Stadium and Highbury? They could use that slot for a different stadium.

I think the game will be missing some players again, since they did not wait untill the transfer window closed, players who were unsigned free agents or were on teams that are not in the game will not be on their new teams. For example no Maniche or Niko Kranjcar.

For the expert kit editor: which are the advantages, if any, of this new kit model? Seems like the shirt dimension now, even if you switch to 768x768, is smaller: doesn't this mean less detail? While indeed the sleeves detail is much more improved now.

ock look at it ingame, no more bluury sleeves because of the stupid small texture

all looks solid, 1gk looks fine for once :)

Yeah, I would say that the old kits had unnecessarily large shirt fronts/backs, with arms way to small - these all match quite well.
