Ive read threw alot of reviews and posts in forums around the net that are covering this game. The conclusion ive come to is that i wont be suckered into purchasing another copy of the 'once' great fifa series. Ive bought every copy since FIFA 96, and after playing ISS evolution and NHL i know EA can and SHOULD do better with there product. There obviously trying to 'sell out' this great game by making it into a fast arcade style slug fest so that the americans will buy it. What are you going to do next? put ADD Breaks and time outs in the mix aswell? EA YOU SUCK.

Why not make a totally different series devoted to your beloved yankie neighbours, called THUNDERBALL SOCCER and get back to making fifa the great title it used to be. EA go rent ISS evoulution and SEE what a real soccer game is like.

Right now nothing beats sitting down with my friends and having a four way game of iss. I cant wait for them to release there new version of this game and hopefully with all the support there getting now and web petitions they will release ISS for the pc.
If its management your after nothing beats Championship Manager 00/01. If its 10-9 games of soccer your after go play any pre fifa 99 soccer game.

EA's having problems with cramming all the leagues into there game that there's NO WAY they can satisfy everyone and still come up with a great title. I think too much of there time is being wasted on individual team commentary, leagues and stats. EA. why dont you focus on a dream league (champs league or a new fantasy league) supporting 2-3 teams from leagues all around the world. Possibly even have 2-3 divisions. That way players and stats will be more acurate, teams will be more acurate and you will have heaps more of that DEADLINE to spend on improving AI and gameplay.

Anyway, the game STILL isnt out here in Aus. but rest assured when it comes out ill rent it and crack it this time round instead of the usual spending of hard earned cash.

peace out.

Sorry mate, your wrong. Fifa 2001 is a great game, not perfect, but great enough to warrant ownership!

I was the same, fifa 97 was pretty poor but at least they were trying out motion capture.
Then came RTWC 98 - biggest leap in football games as far as Im concerned. But then Fifa 99 happened..and due to major market pushes people bought it - alot of people.
EA has gotten too big and they know fifa is selling and thats now their bottom line. Its selling extremely well so it doesnt need any major improvements - just polish it up and it will sell.
Anyway lets hope that the next konami football incarnation(we're not allowed to mention its name in this forum) will work with PS emulators.
