I don't think there's anything wrong with downloading something you fully intend to buy. I have it pre-ordered and pre-paid for FIFA 07 on the PC and the 360 but I'd obviously still love to play it early given the chance.

It's clear that they spend more time in making the game realistic than in the playersfaces cause many faces still look the same as three years ago for instance Louis Saha still wears long hair in the demo and right now he has short hair!! I think the face for Huntelaar is too difficult for the patchmakers at EA :rolleyes:

Sure I will as soon as the facemakers will start editing for 07 and the game has been officially released, I can't be arsed with downloading the game, I did it in the last few years but now I've decided to buy the official game.
In a few weeks the game will be scattered all over the internet on torrentsites and then I will probably download the sucker anyway but ssshhhhh :p

I know it's really a pity... I also thought of that.. that EA just didn't make his face because it's to difficult. I sort of expected this... but then there is some new hope Silencer :). I just saw another screen somewhere else that gives me more hope! I'll look it up and post the screen link. I guess the only thing we can do is pray... (I also started to make a new Huntelaar face, it's really difficult though)

What I think we need, is for those with the game to give us an unbiased review!

Mainly gameplay, i.e has the shooting improved, the sliding tackle, overall passing, and response time of the players.

I am more then willing to give a total neutral review but unfortunately I am at work so you'll have to wait till I get home which will be around 16:30 GMT+1 ;)

TURN YOUR MODEM OFF wait 10 seconds and turn it on, if you have dinamic IP it will change and you will be able to download as your new ip isnt the same as previous! It worked for me, got the WHOLE game like this in 10 hours :) [100-110kbs rate]

For me its Fifa like Fifa. It is 10% better than last year, but for me its not near Pes5.
But that is my oppinion.

Quite good as some lads over at evo web are at 75% done on a fifa commentry patch for it, and it's sounding cool!

That's the only thing wrong with pes is the sound and pitch, but they can both be altered!

Fifa's face textures suck the big one, but I hope they get that right for next year!

I enjoyed my time with the demo, but after awhile got bored and it's shortfalls started to become more obvious once again!

Scoring a goal, still feels crappy and scripted as usual, and the goalies are clueless!

Nevermind the PES6 demo is out next week!

The dutch national squad's license is too expensive, as are some other teams, but as always I bet they are hidden somewhere (the kits, logo's and everything were present in every previous fifa, only thing needed was to activate them in the database)

Yes it is... Also,.. in the full version the cinematics are very high detailed (like the Pro Evo Cinematics). The game looks great on the highest resolution :) Better then the demo... Probably the textures and cinematics in the demo were just for 800x600.

I also like the new things the board wants you to get. Things like: "extend the contract of at least 3 players for 4 years (extending contracts is made wayyyyy to difficult tought.. Even if you double the salary most of them won't sign). The team of the month is great, the new youth system, new stats (assists!) and the highlight reel is way better.

I think it's really hard to score with a mediocore team. I play with Roda JC in the dutch eredivisie and I'm 7th after 14 games. In Fifa 2006 I won my first season on professional with 32 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. The computer tough makes impossible goals... I've seen Excelsior make headers from 20 meters that went in the top corner..

Also it's cool that the computer also makes substitutes. The crowd chants are way better (boo-ing when the home team is 1-0 ahead and when it's injury time).

As a Pro Evo fanboy,.. Fifa doesn't disappoint me.... yet.

Unlike the Demo cinematics there is something different with the full-version cinematics.. They seem far more detailed.. The background gets a bit blurry (just like Pro Evo) wich looks great.

I cant beleive EA did this... I mean I got the final version of the game, still same bugs from the demo, same crap, slowdowns, etc. I mean you CANT release a game if you have A HUGE BUG like that, its so noticeable by everyone...

And I know I can edit some config files, but any gamer or a any customer should do that to get a decent piece of game, Im sorry but no...

Last year they released a patch right after the release when we found out that the beginscreen of the game kept flipping because of an USB bug so I'm expecting a patch that will solve this as well.

I wish I could say that the PC version is a cheap console port, but that would be an in insult to consoles. IMO ! the Xbox version is far superior to the PC version. What really irritates me about FIFA 07 (PC) is that when the ball is passed up and down the field, camera scrolling is jerky and blurry, which can cause eyestrain, where as FIFA 07 (XBOX) is smooth and fluid.

You can change the FPS in the inifile from 7 to 2 and then it runs very smooth on PC.

Pure BS as I have ran FRAPS with every setting of the "RENDER_RATE_MODE = x" and each setting had different results with 2 being the best as it tried to keep it at a constant 60fps during gameplay.

What you said right here was that it made no difference at all.......................which it did make a difference(as you just said about the framerate), you just failed to acknowledge it the first time and now you are trying to act high and mighty..........BTW, it does help the camera jerking...........when the game is jumping from 45-85fps it makes the camera jerk much more than when it is only having a slight change like that of 55-60fps. Yes the camera will still jerk but it will do so a lot less when only making jumps in a 5fps range.

I've give up modding Serie A at the minute, because they did a really half arsed job on some of the squad numbers.

I'm also finding a few squad number errors now and again. Helguera is #6, when he should be #21. I think Diarra swapped the #6 shirt with him.
