I know!!!!! I have the same problem and found some other people too with the same problem. It's is either a Windows problem or a FIFA 2001 problem, I don't know. It's not the videocard and not DirectX. You can find my topic on this forum, read my specs and see I passed all the specdemands. There is also a thing you can do, go to the support directory and launch go_ez.exe, check if your specs are supported. I've send an email to EA, but they won't react. I'll keep you posted if I know anything!! P.S. I once made it to the second half, but not for long. I altered somethings in the 3DSetup.ini file, try it for yourself.

on my brother's computer i have the exact same problem, but on mine, i did not experienced any technical problems yet. but, but my brother has windows 2000 and i have windows ME. do you think that got to do with the 2 different operating systems?
what are your os in your computers?

I am not really sure if its Win ME as I have that installed and I can play, and like last nite I played about 25 games without a glitch, but yes in the beginning when I installed the game I was not able to do it, My computer did crash, buyt now it works fine after about 1/2 a day of playing its rock solid, "insha allah".

I keep getting ****ed to windows whenever I'm playing this game. I haven't been able to finish one single half yet. I get skipped to windows with no messages or anything
I am NOT using some lame-ass warez version, it is the fullversion, and I have the latest patch.

hello the problem is that a motherboard with via chipset give's problem's with 3d agp cards en pci sound cards
you have to wait till there's a patch ho fix this problem

The news on www.fifa2001.com (http://www.fifa2001.com) says there is a patch. I think it should fix your problem, because they say something about graphics card. Maybe also for ATI cards...but can you download the update? i can't. ALthough i don't have the problem, Ea should let us download the patch manually from websites...
