Okay, what am I doing wrong? PW salary seems to be completely messed up. I like starting teams in the lower leagues and then take them to the top. I keep running into a problem where my player salaries dont match what my team is actually drawing for salary. for instance, I started a new club. (Boddington FC) :p My PW was around $9,000. Because I had this problem before I decided that I was going to look for talented players who cost less and didnt take anyone who drew a salary of more than a couple hundred dollars per week. I picked up 3 defenders, a GK, 3 midfielders, and 2 strikers. None of them had a salary of more than $200. so...9 players at 200 each is about $1800.00 but for some reason my PW went into the negative1400 range.

I dont get it...what am I doing wrong. Is there some other finances that I am not seeing or is there a glitch in the game??

use the calculation tool. Also there are maintainance costs for your club facilities/youth centres and other miscellanous things.

last night I started over again. I recreated the boddington football club and this time targeted even cheaper players, replacing 9 or my starters with more talented footballers. I had one high priced player, my GK....wanted to see if it would make as much of a difference as i thought it should. I went from 11k pw budget down to about 3k. the only thing i can figure is that it takes the bonuses you give someone out of your PW budget as well.

as for the contracts..try NOT to put bonuses in players contracts.
